While Xuanyan and Lingling drifted into a deep sleep after their fierce battle, far away—inside the inner sect chamber atop a mountain peak—another intriguing confrontation was unfolding.

Mountains peak

Elder Han iyu’s mountain peak lood above the sect, isolated and steep, its upper ridges buried within heavy storm clouds. Lightning flashed repeatedly across the sky, briefly illuminating the stone halls gripping the mountain before darkness swallowed them once more.

Han iyu soared through the stormy sky on her azure sword, heading steadily toward her mountain peak in Nether Abyss Mainland Sect. Despite the relentless lighting splitting the heavens and thunderclaps echoing tirelessly through the air–she maintained her unwavering speed. Her mind, however, was elsewhere, clouded with irritation and a bit of anger. She had never been fond of spending too much ti within the sect’s walls–constant pill refinent for sect needs, ticulous handling of sect politics and endless pretty disputes.

But after hearing that her own disciple had attempted to assassinate the personal disciple of another elder, Han iyu had no choice but to turn back to the sect. This was a strict rule, etched deeply into the sect’s rules and regulations, almost a sacred taboo. Killing the personal disciple of another elder was absolutely forbidden. Even if it was driven by political ambitions, or hidden agendas, such an act within the sect’s territory was considered an unforgivable breach of divine law.

So, i Lingyao had finally taken a disciple.

Was it genuine?

Han iyu hovered silently in midair, her figure perfectly still as her gaze fixed on the distant mountain peak gradually erging beneath her. Or was this rely another trick of hers? Was she simply trying to manipulate into revealing my incompetence within the sect? That woman had always been skilled at pretending innocence when it suited her cunning plans. Han iyu exhaled slowly, she knew very well that she had placed a heavy responsibility on i Lingyao’s shoulders.

Managing the sect’s pill business was no small matter. And then there was the Sacred Cave entrance this year...Han iyu knew very well that each personal disciple would be granted a rare chance to enter the Sacred Cave. Such an opportunity did not co often. Taking a disciple right before this event—how could that be a coincidence? But what unsettled her even more was the na she had received.

A male cultivator.

Yani, one of i Lingyao’s adopted daughters, was the only one Han iyu had ever heard possessed genuine talent in alchemy. Calm, diligent, and adept in every regard, she was a promising candidate. Then there was i Lingling, i Lingyao’s biological daughter. Though less spoken of, she too was an obvious choice. Either of them could have been taken as a personal disciple to gain entry into the Sacred Cave. Both choices would have made sense.

But Xuanyan...

Han iyu narrowed her eyes slightly, the weight of suspicion setting over her. This matter was not sothing she could simply overlook. i Lingyao was an important asset to the sect, and the Sect Master placed imnse trust in her. Despite her cultivation being only at the early stage of Foundation Establishnt, barely qualifying for the role of elder– her mastery of alchemy brought an imnse amount of resources and benefits to the sect, making her an influential figure.

The most frustrating part was this–Han iyu needed i Lingyao to let go of any grudges against her. Just thinking about that made the situation even more exasperating. Han iyu cherished her freedom above almost everything. She longed to leave the sect whenever she wished, to travel beyond its borders without being pulled back by endless duties, demands, and responsibilities. To do that, she relied on soone she could trust to keep the pills business running smoothly in her absence.

i Lingyao was that person, as long as i Lingyao stayed cooperative and didn’t harbour resentnt, Han iyu could freely disappear from the sect for long stretches without heavy scrutiny.

Han Maiyu began descending toward her mountain peak chamber, her robes rustling softly in the air. As she approached, two young won lounged casually at the entrance of the gate, their. The fierce storm that had earlier threatened the mountain had already dissipated by the formation arrays, leaving no sign of danger in the air.

Suddenly–A loud, echoing thud echoed across the smooth platform, resonating through the quiet air. Han Maiyu appeared before them causing the ground tremble faintly. Instinctively, both won reacted–eyes wide, bodies tense, hands moving into a defensive stance. But as they looked up, they froze in place in astonishnt. Standing before them was a strikingly beautiful woman, her formidable, well-defined physique radiating strength. She possessed a tall, commanding presence. Her tall fra was clad in warrior attire that hugged her form, revealing every curve and muscle with striking clarity. Han Maiyu’s appearance was undeniable, alluring, blending strength with captivating beauty and strangely seductive.

"Elder!" Both of them shouted in unison, imdiately bowing deeply in respect upon recognising the won before them.

Han iyu observed them for a mont, her expression relaxed. Then she spoke coldly, in a commanding tone. "One of you–go get that trash, Tang Lishen." Her gaze shifted to the other girl, "And you, bring tea. Made from a rank–two beast." She slightly shifted her hand, pointing at the second girl.

The two young won stiffened and bowed again, even more deeply. "As you wish, elder," they said together, then hurried off without even slowing down.

Han iyu was an inner sect Alchemist elder, her cultivation already reaching the Golden Core Realm. Despite her title, she wasn’t famous for her skills in alchemy. What made her notorious was the way she handled enemies–crushing them with her bare hands, making them scream in terror, echoing loudly in her ears. That brutality was her true source of satisfaction.

Among the sect’s elders and across the entire continent, Han iyu was feared as one of the most savage and formidable figures. Her na was associated with raw, brutal violence.
