"Now let’s think. Why would soone with powers be the heart of our household? If it’s only you who is special then maybe it has sothing to do with your mother and her side of the family?" Regina suggested. They did not have the slightest clue about Aurora’s mother because Minnie and their father did not like to speak about Aurora’s mother. Was it out of consideration for Rachel or was it to keep family secrets hidden?
"I have been asking about my mother for a long ti and never got even a portrait of her. Searching for clues about her will be even more difficult but we have to try. If anyone finds out what we’re doing we’ll be in big trouble and I can take that risk but I don’t want you to be scolded by others or worse." Aurora was happy to have Regina eager to help her but she was concerned about what might happen to her younger sister if they got caught.
"Then we have to be perfect and make sure we don’t get caught. You can’t go through all of this by yourself. You need help from the sanest person in this house. Samuel will probably faint if he heard about this so let us keep him out of the loop. Father has been making him busy going into the business so he wouldn’t have ti to help us anyway."
Aurora liked the idea of just having this between the two of them. Adding more people increased the risk of getting caught. "Okay. We have to plan this properly. It would be a waste of ti looking in places we already know we won’t find anything. Minnie isn’t going to place sothing so secretive for us to easily access it. We need to get into her and father’s room on a day when they aren’t ho."
Regina tapped her chin thinking about the other things they needed to consider. "We also have to watch out for Minne and my mother’s eyes and ears around the house. No doubt all of those maids will be happy to report back anything suspicious that we do. Leave the maids to ."
"We need to get Minnie and father’s keys too. I’ve seen where Minnie placed her one but I don’t have a clue about father’s-"
"The attic!" Regina exclaid now rembering sothing important. "A lot of old things belonging to the house were placed in the attic. There’s grandpa and his father’s things. It wouldn’t hurt to look around the attic to see what we can find in there. I used to see grandpa writing in an old diary and he said it was his daily thoughts. I bet you there’s going to be so juicy secrets in there."
Not just about Aurora but possibly everyone else in the ho and all of their grandfather’s old acquaintances. Why hadn’t she rembered such a juicy book? Regina felt excited at first but then that excitent slowly started to go away. "I’m starting to beco really nervous about what we might find. A Part of wants you to find the truth but the other part of doesn’t want to know what bad things they had planned for you."
Her entire life she liked to think their family was a happy one. Even if her mother wasn’t particularly nice to Aurora many tis, her family was still good in her eyes. Regina nervously picked her nails scared of what they might find out. She hoped there might be so big misunderstanding but also knew there was sothing fishy going on in their family.
"Your fear is the sa as mine. I wish I was still clueless about everything. That I never had the dream with the wolf which started all of this. Nothing hurts more than knowing the people you love have been keeping big secrets about you. I would’ve preferred that they did not treat so kindly if they plan to hurt in the future."
"You’re making emotional Aurora and it’s not even the ti for that yet. Do you mind if I sleep here tonight? I’ll wake up at dawn before anyone can notice I was here. I don’t want to leave you alone. I’m starting to think you might disappear if I take my eyes off of you and I can’t have my big sister going anywhere." Regina did not want to leave Aurora’s side.
Growing up she had been closer to Aurora more than anyone else in the house. Aurora was the only person who sat and listened to what she really felt. She could be free around her sister and not act like a doll. Everyone else scolded her for the things she did and said.
To add humor to the situation Regina continued to say, "We should’ve known sothing was wrong with this family. Samuel might not even be my brother. I always thought we picked him up off the street."
Aurora chuckled and replied, "You two look almost like twins."
"Please do not insult my beauty by comparing to that toad. Not to forget I am also smarter than him. The best entertainnt we’ll have at the harvest festival is watching Samuel try to flirt with the ladies. His best quality when it cos to flirting is staying quiet."
"I heard that! If you are going to insult soone Regina don’t laugh about it out loud in case they might be passing by," ca Samuel’s muffled voice from the outside of Aurora’s bedroom door.
Aurora covered her mouth with her hand to stop the sound of her laughter from being too loud. No one was supposed to know Regina was here tonight. They were lucky Samuel was the one who caught them but what was he doing all the way over here by her room?
Regina sat up off the bed to open the door for their brother so that he could co inside before anyone saw him. "I always insult you to your face Samuel. I want you to hear what I am saying."
"I have so secrets about you too Regina. You’re lucky I don’t like hurting girl’s feelings," Samuel said stepping inside to join the sleepover. He went to Regina’s room first and when he saw that she was missing he already knew where she might be.
"Oh please, you hurt girls’ feelings every day and it’s not because you rejected them but because once they et you the prince-like person they imagined you to be, turns out to be a lie."
"See, this is why Aurora is my favorite sibling. You’re always throwing jabs at , Regina. What the hell happened to your plant?" Questioned Samuel noticing the strangely large plant.
