"You’re awfully quiet today Regina. Is it because I took the wine shop from you so easily?" Samuel asked as he approached Regina who was sitting in the garden reading a book. "Are you trying to be like Aurora? You’ve never been one to co into the garden to read. You hate dirt and grass. Plus, I expected you to be hiding after what happened this morning."
Regina flipped the page of her book ignoring Samuel who only ca to bother her and rub it in her face that he got the wine shop.
"Really? Are you really going to ignore , Regina? I don’t have a huge problem with you. You are the one who keeps picking at . Let’s be honest, I was going to capture Aurora but then I realized after much thought that it was wrong. Aurora will forgive when I see her soon."
Regina flipped another page more interested in what the book contained than what was being told to her.
"What the hell are you reading?" He snatched the book from her hand to view the content. "Why on earth are you looking at wedding tips? Did Timothy propose to you? Answer ," he grabbed her hand harshly.
Having enough of his temper tantrum, Regina slapped Samuel across the cheek forcing his head to turn to the side from the impact.
"Do not touch ," she warned in a low threatening voice. "Let go."
"Now that you have Timothy on your side you think you are on the top of the world? I am the one who went to him with the idea of marrying you. He wouldn’t pay attention to you if not for you . Do not get so far ahead of yourself. You owe ," he released her hand.
"I owe you? What a joke," Regina scoffed, getting up from her seat now that her precious alone ti was interrupted. "I don’t owe you anything, Samuel. What can you get from a person who has absolutely nothing? You should be satisfied with the wine shop. Goodbye."
"No! I am not finished with this conversation-"
"Let guess. Now that you think Timothy and I are getting married you want us to be on the sa side again but I have no plans to, Samuel. We were never on the sa side from the start," she chuckled much to his dismay. "Don’t worry. I will rember you well enough when I do get married. I’ll send a lot of gifts your way."
"Father has not heard about a wedding. I am sure of it. You cannot get married without his blessing."
"We both know I have always had our father in the palm of my hands. Thanks to what happened this morning, the guilt of not keeping his promise must be eating him up inside. How could he not accept a marriage proposal I just might say yes to? I suggest you look for a partner too. Timothy won’t be helping you in the future," said Regina.
"Why are the two of you fighting again? Was breakfast not enough?" Minnie appeared with Duncan not too far behind her.
Since Samuel had been annoying her so much, Regina decided to ruin his plans. "We were just discussing how I am not the only one to turn my back on the family. You can stop hating for helping Aurora now."
"What on earth are you talking about?" Asked Minnie.
"The fact that we have all done sothing terrible in this family. Like how Samuel is going around to all your friends to convince them to go after you. He’s in a rush to get your spot. The pressure from my mother must not be helping," Regina looked right at Samuel when she said these words. Now he would know how it felt to have Minnie going against him.
"That’s not funny Regina. I did not do a thing-"
"Quiet. I am very aware of what you and your mother are doing, Samuel. Neither of you has been discreet with wanting out of this house. It was careless of you to think at least one of the people you went to wouldn’t have repeated what you said to . I thought I raised you to be much smarter than this," Minnie sighed.
Regina annoyed her but the girl was much more calculated than Samuel.
Samuel was surprised to hear Minnie already heard what he was trying to do from soone. He couldn’t pinpoint who might’ve been the person to do it but either way, he was screwed. "It’s not what you think Minnie. Regina is giving you the wrong idea."
"She just said she knew about it already, you fool. Why are you going to continue to act so clueless?" Regina rolled her eyes. It was obvious Minnie would find out about what Samuel was doing sooner than he thought. That’s why she played it safe and never got too involved in the deal she made with him.
"Shut up Regina. You also agreed to work with against Minnie."
"Really? When did I do that?" Regina tilted her head and showed an aloof look. "You brought it up to and I did nothing to aid your plans nor did I have any discussion with you after that. Why on earth would I jump onto a sinking ship?"
To insult him further she said, "You never think things through and rely on your last na to get people to listen to you. Tell , why on earth would I want to be working with soone who relies on their mother? I had nothing to do with your plotting on Minnie. I hope he gets the sa treatnt I do. It’s only fair after all."
"You let Aurora go when she was important to Minnie and hit over the head!" Samuel pointed his finger at Regina as he wanted the focus to be back on the fact Regina betrayed Minnie. He was dead when his mother learned their plan was exposed by Regina of all people.
"Yes and I’ve admitted to it. Stop pointing your finger at and keep your head bowed in front of Minnie. I can sll you ready to pee yourself. I am not done with this conversation. Goodbye," Regina didn’t care to stay and listen to what would be discussed between Minnie and Samuel. After this, the wine shop might be taken away from him.
Minnie didn’t bother to say anything to Regina this ti. She believed that Samuel did try to use Regina but Regina had no part to be a part of his plans. ’The girl was probably leading him on,’ thought Minnie.
"I’m sorry for trying to go against you, Minnie. My mother had nothing to do with it. I am only tired of waiting for my chance to beco the man of the house-"
"Samuel, I love my grandchildren contrary to what you might think but I have always found you to be irritating and stupid. Why couldn’t you be more like your sister?" If Samuel was more like Regina, he would be the perfect person to take Nathaniel’s spot.
"I am confused, Minnie. Aren’t you upset with Regina for what she did?" As far as Samuel was concerned, Minnie hated Regina since the day she allowed Regina to leave. So why was she calling him stupid while complinting Regina? Did she not see how much of a slap in the face that was for him when he had done so many tis to help her?
Even if he did try to force her out of her seat, he had worked hard and shown her how capable he was. How did Regina receive more complints than him? Was Minnie kissing him right now?
"I can love and hate her at the sa ti. She makes my blood boil but I have to admit the girl is smart most of the ti. It isn’t hard for her to get under your skin and look how easy it was for her to knock you out. She has honestly been my favorite. I am hoping to one day nd the relationship with Regina but with you, Samuel. You remind so much of your mother. I hate her and find her to be disposable."
Minnie had no reason to keep Rachel around anymore. The woman was still alive thanks to Nathaniel being in love with her. Minnie no longer cared about the love Nathanial had for Rachel. Her son would learn to love soone else.
Samuel was becoming more like his mother day by day and now Minnie had grown tired of his childish behavior.
"You will no longer be working at the wine shop or any of our other businesses. You will no longer be attending any etings with your father. Do not look so surprised Samuel. I cannot reward you after you have tried to stab in the back. Take this ti to hire a tutor and have them teach you sothing worthwhile," said Minnie.
"If your mother cos screaming in my ear about this be warned that I will throw her out of this house. Please relay the ssage," Minnie said before continuing on with her walk.
