Cecilia knew Graham wasn’t going to be pleased with her having Vincent in the ho but what was she supposed to do when the man just showed up out of the blue? "Get ho safely," she said which was stupid in her opinion because he was the strongest among the wolves here. Who was going to ss with Vincent except for her stupid husband?

"Right," Vincent replied, leaving the ho with the items in his pockets. If he had known the witches had the solution to spying on what his uncle was doing, he would have done this long before. "Goodbye."

Vincent ignored the looks of Cecilia’s neighbors as he left the ho. It ca as a surprise to them to see him visiting the ho when it was known he didn’t get along with his uncle. It was obvious from the way the atmosphere would get chilly each ti Graham tried to get close to Vincent.

Vincent only had one thing on his mind now and that was Aurora. He wondered what she was doing on the walk she decided to take. After their mont or monts because of how many tis they had made love to each other, he wanted her to be careful since there was a high possibility she could be carrying their child.

It would take a while to know if she was carrying his child but it was better to be safe than sorry early. One of the reasons he didn’t mind her going outside was due to the fact he claid her last night. It would be obvious to anyone she passed by that she was his woman. ssing with her ant they wanted to lose their life either by him or Aurora.

She was more than capable of protecting herself where she wouldn’t need him right by her side. To live with creatures such as werewolves everyone needed to know to defend themselves since their world was extrely dangerous.

He twirled around the rings in his pocket that he stole from his uncle. It was ti for Graham to pay for the cris he committed so that Vincent could avenge his parents and be able to move on with the life he wanted with Aurora.

If this spy spell Aurora told him about work, he could catch his uncle in the act of communicating with vampires which alone was a death sentence for a werewolf. It was a rule that they should never talk with the enemy.

"We need to talk, Vincent," a voice said behind him.

"I don’t rember having anything to say to you, Marge. You must be mistaken," Vincent kept walking back to his ho ignoring the fuming woman behind him. She was trying to speak to him since she was no longer one of the elders.

"Yes, we do have sothing to talk about. I want my position back. Who else can take on such an important job as I did? The only reason my job was taken from was your little girlfriend’s connections to the Goddess," Marge folded her arms walking beside Vincent since this was the only ti she was able to speak with him.

All her letters were denied, the request for a conversation was denied, and anyone else she sent in her place was turned away. It was too much Artemis and Vincent did not try to give her a second chance. With the power that ca with being an elder, many of the people she spoke to before had no use for her like Graham.

"You did too much at the trial Marge. Do you wish for to repeat what happened?"

"Your people don’t like living with humans. First, it’ll start with two humans and then we’ll have a hundred of them in here. When are we going to stop, Vincent?"

"You have forgotten I did not want the children here but Artemis holds more authority than I do. She’s the moon Goddess. Take up your concerns with her," said Vincent but he had a feeling it would be hard for Marge to get in touch with Artemis. He no longer felt Artemis’s presence but strangely, she wasn’t dead.

"Do you take for a fool-"

"Yes," Vincent bluntly replied. She was a fool for thinking he was going to change his mind and make her an elder again. She was a fool for continuously reaching out to him when he kept turning her away. She was a fool to receive money from people like his uncle when it ca to the decisions in trials. "The others have been smart enough to keep their heads down and accept their loss."

"Even though you dislike , to think of as a fool is unacceptable," Marge muttered. She was tempted to kill him right here right now but that wouldn’t get her back her job.

"You were the one to bring up if I think of you to be a fool. I answered honestly. Why am I getting blad when you asked the question. Honestly, Marge, that’s just another reason why you aren’t fit to be the elder again. You are never able to be calm and make a fair judgnt. I knew of all the bribes you received when it ca to trials but I let you be even when it was a pain in the ass to fix what you were ssing up."

"I did not use anything offered to . You can co to see all of it and take it back to the people who tried to bribe . All my judgnt at the trials was my opinion. Just because I tried to kill the children you can not bring up your assumption that I accepted bribes. Give back my job Vincent," she grabbed his arm making the people passing by looking at her like she was crazy.

For the first ti since she arrived Vincent stopped walking. He sighed, annoyed that his previous thoughts about Aurora were interrupted by Marge. How much of a fool was she to admit she still had the things she was bribed with but then say it was just an assumption.

"I’ll think about giving you back your job and when I have the answer, I’ll contact you, Marge. Is that fair for you?" He asked looking to his side to catch her small smile.

"I’ll take it. I will be waiting on your response, Vincent. Have a good day," she slightly bowed, then left his side.

Vincent released a chuckle once she was gone. The thing about thinking was the ability for soone to think about sothing forever. He could think about giving her back her job for the next hundred years but still not have an answer. He would have to join the fool club before he gives Marge back her job.

"Back to thinking about my beloved-"

"Vincent!" Derek called his na.

"Why the hell is everyone the sa place I am?" Vincent’s lip twitched from his thoughts of Aurora getting disrupted again but still turned around to see what Derek wanted. He looked down at the handful of food items Derek was carrying in his hands. "Why haven’t you been reporting to work Derek? Have you quit to carry around bags?"

"Of course not! It has just been crazy getting used to having two extra mouths to feed. I didn’t have a clue children could eat so much and they are not wolf children. I ca out to buy so things to create a garden so we can save so money and it might be fun for the girls to plant whatever they want. Why the hell are you staring at like that Vincent?" Derek asked when he noticed Vincent smiling.

Thanks to his many years by Vincent’s side, Derek knew the only tis he saw Vincent smile was around Aurora and when he was going to ss up soone’s day.

"Don’t you dare laugh at , Vincent. I have to think about the future okay! Children are expensive!" Derek exclaid, pointing a finger at Vincent. "I might have to work hard to get a raise."

"Well done," Vincent gave Derek a pat on the back. "It took two small humans to make you do more than the bare minimum but it’s a start. You’re starting to look like a father, Derek."

Derek took a step back away from Vincent with his mouth wide open. "Who are you and what have you done with Vincent?"

"Why the hell does everyone keep saying that today? Surely, this is not the first ti I have complinted you, Derek. I have known you for too long for this to be the first."

"The last ti you freaking complinted was at my wedding and you said it’s a miracle I was able to make Jane agree to the marriage. I’m now realizing that was not even a complint. So who the hell are you?" Derek dropped his bags on the ground ready to fight the imposter.

Vincent remained unphased by Derek’s behavior and simply said, "If you don’t shut the hell up I’ll increase your work-"

"Okay, it’s you," Derek started to pick his bags up.
