"These fucking clowns!"
Crash!
"That was expensive, you know," Cecilia sighed, listening to her husband throw a temper tantrum. "I can’t buy anything but you get to throw around everything. You know we’ll have to replace that right?"
"Cecilia," Graham turned to his wife as she wasn’t seeing how royally screwed they could be. "Don’t you understand that Vincent has those fools and he will be questioning them soon? I put a lot into taking that woman and she’s right there with him still."
"Why are you worrying when there was a middleman who spoke to the n you hired in your absence. They don’t know who hired them to do the job. All you have to do dear husband is get rid of the middleman."
"I’m doing that already," Graham said. It was the first thing he did when he heard the news Vincent had gathered all those involved in taking the woman. "I risked a lot for this tonight. I can’t go back to them yet."
"Are you talking about the vampires?" Cecilia casually replied whilst looking at her nails. She told him to plan out all of this carefully. Had she been the one to do this, Vincent would still be looking for the girl.
"Do not say that out loud you fool!" Graham exclaid.
Cecilia glared at Graham for calling her a fool. If there was a fool in this room it was most definitely him. "Our house has a witch spell on it and the workers have not arrived yet. That is why we have not had breakfast yet and I needed to dress myself this morning. You are really losing your mind. Did I get married to a senile man?"
Cecilia smiled because it ant that she would be able to take charge of all their finances.
"I can see you smiling. Good to know you don’t see how this could affect us-"
"Us?" Cecilia chuckled, stopping him in his tracks. "I had nothing to do with all of this, Graham. You are the one that t up with the vampires and you were the one that paid those people to kidnap the girl. All of this will affect you."
"Have you forgotten you were the one who gave the bright idea to steal the girl? You have also known about my dealings with vampires but you have not told anyone about it. It is a cri punishable by death Cecilia. If I go down, you are coming with . You should start being so concerned now," he grinned.
Graham had been using her na for many deals, so if she thought she was innocent in all of this, she had another thing coming her way.
"Graham!" Cecilia stood up. "I never agreed to be a part of any of this. If you try to push anything on , I swear I will say you threatened . I know many of your secrets. Do not try to play with ."
"You share soone’s burdens, troubles, and punishnts when you marry them. I don’t care what you think you know about ," he grabbed her neck. "I am in a position to destroy you if you don’t take what’s happening seriously. You might want to wish my plans went perfectly because I had to offer up life as paynt for anything going wrong with the vampires. They loved that it was you."
Cecilia’s eyes widened upon hearing that he practically handed her over to the vampires. They weren’t in love with each other but how could he do such a thing? There were many other people he could use. "How on earth could you do that to ? I am your wife! Take your hand off of ," she pushed him.
"Only in na," he smirked, fixing his clothes after she pushed him. "Have you forgotten that we do not love each other? I married you for your body and you married for my wealth. I have to admit, I have beco quite bored with you so I had to find so other use for my wife. Luckily, the vampires accepted you as an offer. It showed my dedication to them."
"Graham!" Cecilia yelled wishing he would see how ssed up this was.
"Stop yelling at !" He yelled angered by her constant yelling and sarcastic remarks. These days she had been getting on his last nerve. He disliked how she would throw herself at Vincent when she was already married. "I swear Cecilia, you have to wake up and see the hole you are in. Get serious with my plans or die. I can replace you like I did my first wife."
Cecilia knew there was nothing she could say to undo what was already done. She had to help Graham be successful in becoming alpha or she could die. There wasn’t anywhere she could run and hide in their community from Graham and it wasn’t easy for her to approach Vincent.
She was going to help him but still play both sides as a precaution. If Graham’s plan starts going downhill, she’ll alert Vincent and claim that she was innocent in all of this. The wealth he had wasn’t worth all of this. "What is it you are planning to do next?"
Graham smiled, happy to see her well behaved now that she knew her head was on the line. "We’re going to need a lot of wolves bane my dear wife. We have soone on the inside who can help us get to Vincent."
Later in the evening, Regina arrived back ho after staying at the wine shop she was assigned to. She learned a lot in the one day of being there. Sothing she found interesting was the shop was the one her family took their wine from. No wonder Samuel didn’t want her working there.
She was given a book from the witches for her to practice spells. They promised to teach her whenever she went to visit them. They also gave her a stick for her to break when she wanted to see them again as the shop moved locations.
The witches could not stay in the sa place for too long. Regina had the book and stick wrapped up in cloth as she entered the ho.
"Regina," her mother called for her before she could get too far into the ho.
"Yes, mother?" Regina turned to face her mother and wasn’t surprised to see that the woman was angry. She wondered how badly Samuel had been punished by their father for Rachel to wait to return. "I hope you don’t mind if I freshen up before we talk? I have had a long day."
"Oh yes, after getting your brother in trouble with your father and then running off. I am sure you are tired."
"You seed to be misunderstanding sothing mother. Your son hit , he got himself in trouble and the only reason you are overlooking that fact is that you have also hit . Are you here to scold , mother? I am sure it can wait until I have settled down," Regina took a step forward to leave.
"Do not walk away from child," Rachel warned her daughter. She was made to deal with the ss her daughter created this morning. Her husband was beyond furious with her and Samuel even though Regina played a role in getting slapped.
Rachel was feeling bad about the things Regina said to her but after this morning, she no longer felt that way. Regina was way too immature and did many things without thinking. She picked a stranger over her blood relatives. There was no hope for Regina in Rachel’s eyes.
Regina rolled her eyes at her mother’s behavior. She wasn’t in the mood to deal with this and just wanted to get so rest and read so of the pages from the book in her hand before dinner. "I’m listening, mother."
"Have you no remorse for what has happened to your brother? Your father had beaten him over a slap. One slap but your brother was given plenty more and now your father is not speaking to Samuel. Go to your father and tell him you have forgiven Samuel and there is no need to punish him," Rachel pointed in the direction of where Nathaniel was.
Regina placed her free hand over her mouth to hide her growing smile. "Why would I do such a thing mother? If I go to see father right now, it would be to tell him what a good day I had. You’ll have to find another way to make him less angry with Samuel. Goodbye."
"Do you not understand how important Samuel is? He does not have ti to waste trying to make his father forgive him. He is the heir to this house and everything else that your father owns. Your father was ssing with Samuel when he sent you to that shop. Whatever ga you are trying to play won’t work," Rachel warned the young girl. Regina had no what battles were going on in this ho.
"Keep doubting , mother, it motivates ."
