"Hmm. See, I knew they would find a way to spin that kidnapping on . I don’t see why I would have anything to do with the vampires attacking but in the Marge situation, the woman had it coming. Let those people continue to make up their own ideas of . I don’t care," Aurora flipped her hair over her shoulder to smooth it out with her fingers.
"I know you don’t see yourself being with Vincent but if there is a day you co to love him, you’ll need these people to accept you. Vincent won’t care if they do but still, you’ll be the alpha’s wife which makes you the luna. And if you wish to stay here for a long ti, you have to mingle with everyone and make friends. It’ll get boring staying up in your bedroom."
"Even if I were to try to beco friends with the people here, they will always judge because I am not a wolf. They will wonder how our children will turn out and I don’t have a clue. I don’t like children either way and neither does Vincent," said Aurora. She was not even sure if she could have children.
Artemis created her to be a pet who would follow her orders but over ti, she changed into what she was now.
"I will think about all of that when it is ti to cross that bridge. Do you mind running the water for ? I would like to take another long bath to relax from all the events of last night."
"Of course! I will get to it right away," Mari said hurrying off to the bathroom.
"I have never seen anyone more excited to fill up a tub with water. She deserves a raise from Vincent. Do I still have my money?" Aurora was about to check for the money she had from when she was here a long ti ago in the secret room behind the closet but then realized it was best to do that when Mari wouldn’t be here.
Mari was a sweet girl but it was best not to let her know about the secret room. People can change over ti or they were good actors from the beginning. Vincent’s battles with so of his family mbers ant that she had to be cautious of the people she trusted.
"Did you see Vincent when you arrived?" Aurora went into the bathroom to ask Mari. She wanted to spend so ti with him now that old feelings were back but if he had work to do she didn’t want to keep him away from it.
If only Derek had not interrupted them last night. She would have woken up in Vincent’s arms this morning or maybe they would have now been going to sleep. They had a lot of lost ti to make up for. All she wanted to do was be in his arms. It’s not every day you co across soone who would wait many years for you to return.
"I don’t think he has co out of his bedroom yet. If he has to leave in the morning, it is normally around the ti that I arrive but maybe he doesn’t want to leave you alone today. You were just kidnapped and Jane is no longer watching over you so he might stay here until he finds soone to watch over you." Mari liked the idea of Vincent and Aurora being together so that they could continue to form a relationship.
"I see," Aurora replied thinking about the possibility of them getting so alone ti without being interrupted. At this point, she should have stayed angry with him instead of forgetting the past because she still wasn’t close to him as she was expecting. "Maybe this should have been a cold bath," she muttered.
"Why?" Mari looked up from the tub confused by Aurora’s words.
"Nothing," Aurora sighed then started to take her clothes off to get into the tub Mari prepared for her.
"You’re a lot bolder today Aurora," Mari now realized. Usually, Aurora would feel shy having soone in the room while she got undressed, and even as she was in the tub and Mari washed her hair. Now she took off her clothes without even blushing at the thought of being watched.
Aurora on the other hand didn’t have a clue what Mari was talking about at first. "What?"
"You’re practically naked in front of without blushing. Why are you suddenly so bold now? Don’t tell ..." Mari trailed off as her ears beca red because of her wild imagination.
"I don’t think I want to find out where your thoughts just went. I’ll explain certain things to you later on but as of right now, I just want to lay around sulking." With all of her clothes off, Aurora got into the water to relax her frustrations away. Mostly, the sexual ones. ’I am certainly much different than the Aurora who walked in here a few days back,’ she thought.
’I am very confused by all of this,’ Mari thought to herself but she kept a smile on her face waiting for it to all make sense sohow. There must be a reasonable explanation as to why Aurora felt a little different today. "I will leave and give you so privacy to relax Aurora," she said.
As Mari was leaving the bathroom, she ca up with her own conclusion that maybe living with Vincent had caused Aurora to slowly change. ’How could anyone remain shy with him around?’ She held her hands to her cheeks to hide the blush. If only she could be a fly on the wall when Aurora and Vincent were left alone. She was their number shipper for the both of them to get together.
"That girl must be having a lot of strange thoughts about and Vincent. I don’t know whether to be amazed or creeped out by it. Hopefully, she never tells what’s going on in her head." Aurora sank into the tub to the point her chin was touching the water. "I am back to normal," she stated as the realization hit her harder in the morning.
"I should relax before I have fun torturing that family," she closed her eyes.
After a good soak and getting dressed with the help of Mari, Aurora left her room in search of Vincent who had not left his bedroom yet. She approached his door and she was almost certain he could hear her heart pounding because of how nervous she was. Getting this anxious over a man was ridiculous to her but she couldn’t help herself.
"Vincent-" His bedroom door opened and a hand pulled her in before she could get past saying his na. "What the hell! Are you trying to give a heart attack?"
"You can’t die so easily. You’ll keep on waking up again and again. Now, what is the reason you have sought out after leaving all alone last night? I figured we would have continued where we left off after Derek left but you wouldn’t answer . Now here you are," Vincent looked down at her with a gaze full of lust. He caged her against the door like he did the last ti she ca to his room.
"It wasn’t my fault Derek interrupted the mont but after that, I was no longer in the mood. I assu you got acquainted with your hand last night?" She chuckled, teasing the poor soul in front of him. His appearance was ssy like he wasn’t able to get a good night’s rest. "How was it?"
"It would be in your best interest to stop teasing . I can most definitely continue where we left off and show you how it was. All you have to do is say the word we could be on my bed in an instant or right here is good for . Your choice," he whispered right next to her left ear and gave it a lick before leaning back to get a good look at her.
It added to his ego to see how tempted she was by his words. It was uncomfortable for him last night knowing she was so close but he could not touch her. The urge he had to be with her intimately had increased knowing that she had rembered their past and last night, she was willing to be with him again.
"You know I would-"
"Vincent?" Mari’s voice ca from the other side of the door followed by a knock. "Derek, Jane, and the children have co for a visit. Derek also says he wished to speak to you. I-If Aurora is in there, please tell her the children are excited to see her again."
Vincent clenched his fists, having thoughts about killing Derek specifically. Each ti he was so close to getting what he wanted soone had to co and interrupt them. They weren’t going to get any alone ti with each other with the number of people who visit his ho. He had to plan sothing or as Aurora said, he would have to get acquainted with his hand.
