"I think you scared the life out of Victor just now. Were you really going to throw him off the roof to land like a cat?" Aurora asked now that it was just her and Vincent while Victor went back into the room.

"My brother and I have always enjoyed playing gas outside of the box. He would have landed on his feet by the way. He’s just a big scaredy-cat. How is your day going so far? Gotten into any trouble yet?" Vincent asked, placing a strand of Aurora’s hair back over her shoulder. He loved to see how letting her hair down rather than trying to hide it.

"When have I ever gotten into trouble? Here?" Aurora added the last part because she had gotten into trouble many tis when living with the Hamiltons. "Vincent, have you been able to find out anything special about the Hamiltons or why they needed to take children?"

"No, it’s a little bit difficult because we don’t have any information that is odd on them before the ti you went there. There is soone I can use to find more information but I know it will be hard for him too. You should know, they keep many of their secrets in their ho."

"And you won’t allow anyone to go on the inside?" Aurora asked even though she knew the answer. "If we could get through to Regina sohow to have her look around, it would help us out a lot. When I was there, we found a lot of old things hidden away in an attic. Things that belonged to Minnie and her old husband. Ti was limited but I am sure if we had stayed there much longer we would have found more important things. Do you think the witches might have sothing for communicating with soone far away?"

"Witches always seem to have a spell for everything but don’t tell you plan to have the three of them back inside of my ho?" Vincent tolerated it the first ti but felt that if he allowed them to keep coming into his ho it would end up in flas or one of them might accidentally turn him into an animal.

Aurora smiled as that was exactly what she planned on doing. "I can call them on the outside if it would make you feel better? Pretty please!"

Vincent wanted to look for another witch to do the job. He had hired more capable witches to do jobs for him where he wasn’t almost turned into an animal but Aurora had grown attached to these three. "I just want you to know," he started off in a warm voice. "If they ss up any spells in my ho you won’t be able to hire them again because I will kill all three of them."

Aurora gulped, feeling scared for the witches but still made the promise. "I promise they won’t ss anything up."

"I’m sure they won’t with their life on the line. Have you picked out what you want to wear for Victor’s birthday party? Do you need to go see Cherry?"

"What was the point of buying all those clothes when I first arrived just for you to ask if I need a new one for every occasion? It also makes no need for the allowance we talked about. There are plenty of dresses in my closet for to wear and I have already picked out a red one." The color resembled the cape Aurora used to cover her hair with in the past.

"I see," Vincent replied, making a ntal note to wear red.

"I’ve got everything. Goodbye to the two of you," Victor bid farewell as he ca out of Vincent’s room with the papers he had brought with him. "Rember to bring good gifts."

Since Victor’s visit, two days passed by to the day of his birthday. The party was being held at nightti and it was Cherry who had taken over everything so Victor could stop worrying about the party details.

Aurora stood in her room getting ready by herself as Mari was also invited to the party so she was given the day off. Vincent was going to hire soone else to help Aurora for the day but she declined the offer. She was more than able to take care of herself. She wore a red trumpet dress with flower designs and thin straps. It was just a birthday celebration at Victor’s ho so she figured a nice simple dress was the best choice.

"Should I keep my hair down or tie it up?" Aurora was not sure what she should do with her hair to style it. She always wore it down in the past when she wasn’t around anyone but hid it when she was in a crowd. Her white hair won’t matter here as it did elsewhere but she was still subconscious about it.

"Aurora, are you ready?" She heard Vincent call from the outside of her room.

In a hurry, she decided to go with a low ponytail to let her hair kind of flow down her back. To not keep Vincent waiting, she hurried to her door forgetting to pick up the jewelry she picked out. Opening her door, Aurora almost stumbled seeing Vincent wearing red similar to the one she had on. His hair was combed back and like always, a few buttons of his shirt were open.

"Am I too handso?" He basked in the look she was giving him right now.

"Do you wish for to say that you are ugly?" She didn’t need to clarify that he looked handso, Vincent wasn’t blind but still, she knew it was right to complint him. "You look handso tonight."

"Thank you. You look really beautiful. I am glad you didn’t pick out any jewelry," he said, showing her a necklace in his hand. "This used to belong to my mother. Given to her by my father. It’s very important in our family so I hope you can protect it for ."

"Vincent, is it alright for to be wearing sothing so precious?" The necklace was beautiful with what looked to be diamonds and a big ruby red stone but it belonged to his mother. Not just anyone should be able to wear it even though he shared he had feelings for her.

"It is. Trust , my mother would be glad to know that after she passed this on to it will finally be to soone who shares the sa heart she had. My mother also had a love for flowers like you do. She used to have flowers placed around the ho even though she was the only one who cared for them. Had the two of you t, you might have been good friends," he said as he placed the necklace around Aurora’s neck. "There’s no one more suited for this than you."

Aurora gently touched the necklace Vincent had given to her. If he thought she was worthy enough of wearing it then she was going to protect it with all of her might. "I won’t let anything happen to it. I promise."

"I’m sure you won’t. Are you ready to attend a party?" Vincent held out his hand for her to take.

"Yes," she took his hand and walked with him downstairs. Aurora for the first ti felt uneasy in her chest because of Vincent. It wasn’t like the many tis she was affected by his looks or actions. This one felt like she had a tiny ache in her chest. She realized then afterward, that from what Vincent had just done, he had moved her heart and she felt sothing more for him.

"Are you okay?" He asked, seeing that she had beco lost in thought over ti.

"I am fine," she smiled, shaking off the feeling for now. It was such a small feeling that she shouldn’t have pondered on it for too long.

They used Vincent’s carriage to travel to Victor’s ho which turned out not to be a long distance. They could have probably taken a stroll there but given how they were dressed, it was not the occasion to walk.

Upon their arrival, Vincent got out of the carriage to go to her side to help her get out safely. In that short amount of ti, Aurora’s chest started to ache but not like before after Vincent had given her the necklace. This ti it started to hurt and she had flashes of the cave she was in before when she got scared and left.

"Are you not ready to wake up?" She heard her own voice ask her in her head.

"Not now," Aurora muttered. Tonight was Victor’s party and the last thing she wanted to do was ruin it with her problems.

"Aurora," she heard Vincent’s voice by her door and the sound of him opening her side of the carriage.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath hoping the pain would go away before Vincent could see her. ’Stop!’ She ntally yelled trying to control her body.
