"Is Vincent still in his room?" Aurora asked after having breakfast and Vincent not showing up. She hoped he wasn’t avoiding her after their talk last night because she wasn’t angry with him anymore and didn’t want this to cause a shift in their growing friendship. She understood his side but stood firm on her side too.

"I don’t think he has co out of his room in the morning and I have been here earlier than normal. I don’t think he has sent for his breakfast yet," Mari said as they looked at Vincent’s room. Mari wasn’t aware of the argunt which took place last night so she was confused about why Vincent was hiding away in his room. "Shall I take his breakfast to him?"

"Yes, no. I want to take it to him," Aurora proceeded to go back downstairs in search of Abel to prepare a warm breakfast for Vincent. She went to the kitchen and found Abel instructing a young woman on what they would be preparing for dinner. "Good morning," she greeted the two to make her presence known.

"Ah, good morning. How can I help you? Was there sothing wrong with the breakfast today?" Abel asked upon Aurora’s arrival. He had already apologized for the comnts he made when she first arrived and knew now to show her the utmost respect just as he would show to Vincent.

"Yes, it was lovely but Vincent has not co out to eat yet. I was hoping you could prepare sothing for to take to his room?"

"Of course! It’s important our leader starts off his day with a healthy breakfast. Here, take a seat while I prepare sothing," Abel offered his chair to Aurora while his assistant got the fire ready. "I will try my best to be quick with it."

"Thank you. Mari, do you want to take a seat? I can scoot over," Aurora moved aside to leave space for her.

"Oh no, I’m fine standing," Mari replied. Aurora’s ability to look out for others never ceased to amaze her so far.

"Okay," Aurora said, then started to look around the kitchen. There was fresh dough laid out on the counter which ant she would be enjoying fresh bread later on today. Rembering the dinner party she wanted to hold she told Abel, "I’m thinking of holding a dinner party. I am not sure what day yet but I need so suggestions for the nu. Can you put together a list of the best dishes you have ever prepared?"

"Of course! It would be an honor to be the one cooking for this dinner. What is the the of the dinner and what do you not enjoy eating?" Abel searched for a piece of paper so that he could write down her preferences. He took joy in having others eat his craft. He already reached one goal by becoming Vincent’s chef.

"I don’t have a the yet, sorry. I didn’t even think I needed to have one. This is my first ti doing sothing like this. I pretty much eat whatever is prepared for but I will find out what the guests don’t enjoy eating. Victor will be in attendance so you might know what he likes," Aurora said, recalling that Victor had lived with Vincent before getting his own ho.

"Yes, the young Lawerence still has sneak him food here and there because he likes my cooking so much. He even offered for to work for him as his chef but I cannot just leave Vincent after he has been so kind to . You never turn your back on the people who have helped you," Abel waved his wooden spoon around like he was scolding her. He was not a fan of having disloyal people around.

"I understand. It only shows how much your skills are. You know what is best, therefore, I will put you in charge of the food. If it’s anything like what I had so far, I know the guest will enjoy it." After a few minutes of silence passed she couldn’t refrain from asking about humans. "What do you think about humans Abel?"

Abel scoffed at the ntion of humans. "What about them? The tiny creatures are always looking for a fight with creatures who are much stronger than them. What they don’t know they try to kill or make their slave. Humans are their own worst enemies. If you ask , they should be looking to kill that king they have instead of looking for creatures like wolves. I rember there being stories of humans and werewolves once getting along with each other."

"Really?" Aurora sat up upon hearing this. She never heard too much about humans getting along with anyone other than Gods at one point in ti.

"It had sothing to do with us finding mates among humans and it’s a connection you couldn’t control. But as always, humans beca scared of us and we stopped looking for mates in them. The connection beca lost over ti and now it’s rare for soone to find their significant other with it. We don’t allow humans to co inside nor are supposed to go out and mingle with them unless Vincent orders soone to. That is why I assud you were..." Abel tried off not wanting to go down that route again.

"So, when a human is here sothing bad will happen to them? What if they go to trial in front of the community?" Aurora wanted so insight into what would happen to the two little girls.

"It’s not best for a human to go to trial here. There are so really sinister people who would love to have their way with a human. It’s best for humans to avoid this place at all costs just as we try to avoid their hos. Why? Is there soone you wish to bring here?" Abel asked, curious as to why she would want to know about the trial.

"No, I am just curious to know how everything here works. I am living here now," she smiled trying to act normal on the outside but on the inside, she was freaking out. What will beco of the little girls now? There had to be so way for her to help them win over the trial.

"It makes sense for you to be trying to learn our norms. Not many people will warm up to you that easily so be mindful of that. His breakfast is done. Are you sure you don’t want soone else to take it to him because it is awfully hot? I don’t need Vincent breathing down my neck because I allowed you to do this," Abel started to regret not turning her back from the beginning and not taking the food himself.

"No, I will take it. I promise to call for help if it becos too much to handle and Mari will be right there beside . Thank you for the breakfast," Aurora said, taking the heavy tray of food from the cook. It was much heavier than she anticipated but she was certain she could manage it on her own.

"Alrighty. I will start putting together the list of potential nu items. Good day miss."

"Good day," Aurora replied before carefully taking the large tray out of the kitchen and up the stairs. It was like she created her own workout by carrying the tray.

"Are you sure you don’t want to take it, Aurora?" Mari asked once she saw Aurora starting to struggle a bit.

"Can you hold onto one end while I hold the other? It’s a lot heavier than I thought," Aurora nervously chuckled as the tray began to slip from her hands.

"I love how you can laugh as it’s falling from your hands," Mari chuckled along with Aurora as she took the tray from her. It wasn’t as heavy as Aurora made it seem.

"Thank you. It’s a defense chanism." Aurora stretched her arms thankful to relieve the amount of pressure she placed on her hands. "I can help you."

"It’s fine. I’m a werewolf, rember. I have a good amount of strength. I’ll take it upstairs and you can hand it over to Vincent."

"Deal. I might pass out if I carry it any further. It felt like I made it halfway up the stairs but I haven’t gotten past four steps," Aurora felt the most embarrassed than she ever did in her entire life. It made it even more embarrassing as she watched Mari carry them up the stairs with ease. "I need to lay off sweets imdiately."

The two of them made it up to the second floor right in front of Vincent’s door. Aurora knocked on the door then quickly took the tray from Mari for her run away before Vincent arrived.

"Is this a peace offering?" Vincent asked when he opened his door and saw the tray. He heard her walking by early and wondered when she was going to approach him. He didn’t expect her to be standing before him with a tray full of food.

"I didn’t know we were at war," she innocently smiled.
