After he said this, Joshua and the others exchanged looks, but ultimately, no one could say a word.

If there had been a way, they would have made their move long ago, and now, since they have helplessly watched the bill being submitted to the congress and having passed the committee's review, what could they possibly do?

"I think that now, there's only one way to save the fate of our great families and groups!"

The atmosphere at the scene grew silent for a long while, with Yunis from the Schiff Family drawing everyone's attention, including Henrietta, with his statent.

"Schiff, what is the thod you are speaking of?"

Though Joshua had no hope for the so-called thod, he still decided to understand it first.

"Under the current situation, only by killing David do we stand a chance of survival!"

"Kill David? If he were that easy to kill, we would have succeeded earlier, and since we didn't succeed before, it's even less likely now!"

Upon hearing this, those present were stunned for a mont, then Joshua scornfully responded.

This tactic had not been untried in the past, and at that ti, David's influence had not yet reached its peak.

Now, David's power has swelled to a point where he controls multiple powerful departnts, making it even less likely for such assassination attempts to succeed.

"Joshua, nothing in this world is absolute, and now that things have co to this point, do you have any other solutions?"

Seeing Joshua at a loss, Yunis continued: "To put it bluntly, our current predicant is all due to David. As long as he dies, I guarantee his group will crumble with him, and our groups will regain our forr glory."

"Everyone understands the principle, but now with CIA, FBI, NSA, and other powerful departnts under his control, our words here might even be intercepted by them, not to ntion assassinating him!"

Joshua was still not keen on this proposal, considering it a re waste of effort.

"Haha, given the situation now, why not give it a try? If successful, it could be the start of our coback; if it fails, the situation won't get much worse than it already is. Surely you don't expect David to let us off after the Federal Reserve nationalization bill passes?"

Yunis's words directly challenged Joshua.

Yes, over the past year, David had imposed various restrictions on them as if fearing their escape.

Clearly, he was waiting for the Federal Reserve nationalization bill to pass before he moved against them.

If they don't do sothing now, once the Federal Reserve bill truly passes, they won't be able to do anything.

What awaits them then will only be a tragic end!

"Although David now controls all major power departnts in Arica, it's not entirely hopeless. So, I think Yunis's plan is worth a try!"

"Yes, that's right. If successful, we indeed face a turnaround, and even if it fails, the outco won't be too disastrous. It's worth a try!"

After Joshua found himself unable to refute, Zart and the two leaders from the Warburg Family also expressed the feasibility of this plan.

Eventually, everyone's gaze settled on Henrietta.

Because they knew, even if they all agreed on this plan, if the group leader didn't approve, it couldn't be implented.

"At this point, there's only one way left. Let's try it!"

Henrietta looked at Yunis, saying: "Since this plan was proposed by you, Yunis, I entrust you with full responsibility for this matter. No matter the cost, we can accept it!"

Henrietta was well aware that once the Federal Reserve nationalization bill passed, David would no longer 'keep' them, but would definitively move against them.

So at this point, they had nothing left but to break the net and gamble one more ti.

If they win, they indeed can turn things around; if they lose, David was going to co after them anyway, and the outco couldn't get any worse.

...

The day after the Freemasonry made their decision, Elvis went to the Internal Revenue Service and located David.

"Inspector David, my departnt has detected so information, so I wanted to co and warn you."

"What information?"

"According to the intelligence we received, the Freemasonry Group is planning so adverse actions against you, but the specifics of how and when are still unknown, so you better be careful recently."

Hearing this, David's brows slightly furrowed.

At this stage, does Freemasonry still dare to play these tricks against him?

But upon further thought, he could sowhat understand.

Now to him, Freemasonry had already beco fish trapped in a jar, and these people knew very well that once the bill for nationalizing the Federal Reserve was successfully legislated, they would face their doom.

But if they could eliminate him now, then everything might turn around!

If he were in their shoes, under such circumstances, he too would take that gamble.

"Set aside other matters for now, I need to know their every move at all tis, understood?"

Although he was aware that these people planned to harm him, visible threats are easier to dodge than hidden ones; David still needed to be cautious.

"Don't worry, my departnt will definitely do everything possible to ensure your safety!"

"Okay."

Roughly two hours after Elvis had left, there was a knock at the door of the office, and Kepel entered and said, "Chief Inspector David, there is a Mr. Sabo outside who wishes to see you."

"Sabo? What's his background?"

"He didn't specify, but he ntioned having a very important matter to report."

"A very important matter..."

David thought for a mont, then instructed, "Tell Manson and Larin to bring him in."

Now that Freemasonry was planning to harm him, he didn't know if this Sabo was an assassin or sothing else, so having Manson and Larin co in was also a precaution.

As for this so-called important matter, it piqued his interest as well.

Soon, Manson and Larin brought in the man nad Sabo, one on each side.

Upon seeing him, this Mr. Sabo reached out to approach him, but was quickly restrained by Larin.

"Mr. Sabo, just speak straightforwardly."

Seeing the stern-face Larin, Sabo didn't dare move forward and stayed where he was, looking at David and saying, "Good day, Chief Inspector David, I am here on soone's behalf."

"Your so-called being on soone's behalf — on whose behalf?"

"Soone high-ranking with significant influence within Freemasonry!"

"Oh?"

Now interested, David asked, "And what is this influential person asking you to discuss with ?"

"He wants to talk to you about sothing."

"What matter?"

"After the nationalization of the Federal Reserve bill passes, he hopes you will not liquidate him and his family!"

"Seeing as your client dares to make such demands, it appears he has so leverage."

"Of course, if there wasn't any leverage, there would be no need for to be sent here."

"Tell , what leverage does your client have?"

Sabo glanced at Larin and Manson, then said, "According to my client, Freemasonry plans to take so detrintal actions against you soon."

"Specifically?"

David just learned of this from Elvis, so hearing it again wasn't much of a surprise.

It seems that this high-ranking official within the Freemasonry Group, by using this as leverage, wants him to be sowhat lenient in the future.
