Chapter 838: Chapter 420: Rubbing You Into a Bald Commander
Under the anxious gaze of the trailing dia, the vehicles of the Internal Revenue Service indeed arrived at the Seagram Building.
“Oh my god, Inspector David really is here for the Senate candidate!”
“Senate candidate… now there will be a good show to watch!”
“This is the campaign office of Langman and Stevenson, the two New York candidates with the highest support rates. Now these two are in trouble…”
After getting out of the car, David didn’t care about the dia’s discussions behind him and directly led his team onto the elevator.
anwhile, on the 13th floor of the building, this was the campaign office of the incumbent Senator and current candidate seeking reelection in this midterm election, Langman.
“Damn it, how dare he, how dare he!”
After learning that the Police Chief and the Mayor of the city had been taken away by David, Langman, who was in the office, also sensed trouble and cursed angrily.
“Mr. Langman, people from the Tax Bureau have co to our office!”
As Langman was still in a state of frenzy, the reminder from his assistant stunned him, leaving his brain sowhat numb.
“Sir?”
“Damn! This is outrageous, David is too outrageous. I’m the incumbent Senator. Is this bastard really going to take away? Does he dare?”
Langman finally ca to his senses after his assistant’s reminder, but compared to before, he was even more furious now.
He had lost on the issue of the offshore tax evasion bill before.
And he had heard about the Police Chief and the Mayor.
But to be honest, he had never expected that the people from the Tax Bureau, after taking away the Police Chief and Mayor for investigation, would also dare to co here to deal with him.
Trying to calm his emotions, Langman regained so of his rationality and walked out of the office with a sullen face.
He wanted to see if this David was really so brazen as to co here and ss with him!
In the lobby of the campaign office, David and his team walked in and happened to run into Langman coming out from his office.
“David, do you realize what you’re doing?”
“Of course I do, is there a problem, Senator Langman?”
Langman was not unfamiliar to David; they had already sparred at the last hearing, and as a key figure in Freemasonry, David naturally had to show so color this ti.
“You know I am a mber of the Senate, and you still dare to co here and cause trouble? Are you planning to take away like you did our New York Police Chief and Mayor?”
“Who said I was going to take you away?”
David turned to look at the assistant beside Langman.

David spoke again: “Mr. Eleanor, we now suspect that you are involved in tax evasion. Please co with us!”

not only was Langman shocked, but his very assistant looked incredulous.
So the Tax Bureau ca storming over, not to target Langman but to go after , a congressman assistant?

The Public Relations Director pointed to his own nose, his face full of question marks.

After David finished, he turned his head to look at the other staff mbers.

“And you, Luther, Carter…you’re all involved in tax evasion cases, every one of you needs to co with us!”
After Clayton, seven or eight more vital mbers of the senator’s office were called out by David.
Now, even Langman, if he were any more foolish, would understand.
Owing to his current status as a Senator in Arica, David probably feared causing so trouble in Congress, opting not to target him directly, but clearly intending to sabotage his reelection campaign!
Now, not only his assistant but all of the important mbers of the office were taken away.
Just imagine, a Senator being stripped of his command by David showing up at his doorstep. Not to ntion making the front page headlines in New York tomorrow, he would probably be laughed to death by the entire Arican public!
But that was not the most important thing; the most important thing was that it was a critical ti in the midterm elections. With his key aides taken away, how could he possibly campaign?
“Damn it, what the hell do you an!”
Langman was getting more and more enraged the more he thought about it, and he couldn’t hold back any longer, even swearing out loud.
He knew that there were probably many dia reporters staked out downstairs. If David really did this, his image would probably be tarnished.
