Before the dia reporters present could discuss too much, Nehem had taken Kang Gua away from the scene.

Inside the office, facing such a situation, Nehem also felt imnse pressure and imdiately approached Inspector David, carefully asking, “Inspector David, was our action a bit, a bit reckless? You know, now Kang Gua, because of his crackdown on cri, is very supported by the citizens of New York…”

After hearing the full explanation, Nehem instantly relaxed and asked, “If that’s the case, then you must have prepared the relevant criminal evidence, right?”

Nehem nodded, then appeared to rember sothing, adding, “Now, many citizens outside, deceived by Kang Gua, are in uproar. I think it should be Inspector David who cos forward to handle this; otherwise, it will be hard to pacify the public’s anger.”

Inside an interrogation room at the Manhattan Branch, Kang Gua appeared domineering.
Facing him, two IRS interrogators were quite annoyed by his statent but montarily couldn’t find any words to retort.
Although the IRS held great power, the importance of the police within any city was indeed irreplaceable.

“Of course a city can’t function without the police, but it can certainly function without you as the director!”
Just as the atmosphere in the interrogation room grew tense, a voice interrupted, followed by the door opening—David walked in.

Kang Gua, initially curious to see who spoke so boldly, was alard the mont he saw the face that was both unfamiliar yet familiar. He imdiately stood up from his chair, unconsciously stepping back several steps, his face showing utter fear.
“I’ll take over here.”
“Yes, Inspector David.”
Seeing David arrive, the two previously flustered interrogators breathed a sigh of relief and then turned to leave.
“So, Director Kang Gua, don’t you recognize , or do I need to introduce myself? Alright then, I shall introduce myself. My na is David, currently serving as the National Chief Tax Inspector at the IRS. Now do you recognize ?”
Kang Gua’s face shifted for a while, then he sat back down, forcing a small smile and said, “Just kidding, Inspector David. Nowadays, who in Arica doesn’t know you?”
“Good, since you know , I’ll cut to the chase. I know you’ve been canvassing votes for Senatorial candidate Stevenson. What I want to know is, which officials in New York State support Stevenson, or perhaps support Langman?”
When David decided to take action against Stevenson, he had considered that New York State, being a stronghold for the Freemasonry, had too many officials from the Freemasonry Group.
Even if he eliminated Stevenson and Langman, the competitors, it would still be difficult to support his own candidates for those two seats in the state.
With the Freemasonry’s network cultivated over many years in the state, they certainly had the resources to support two other candidates.
To truly secure the two Senatorial seats in the state, he would first need to destroy the roots the Freemasonry Group had entrenched in various governnt departnts.
And Kang Gua was the first one!
Of course, Kang Gua was also a breakthrough point. Given his position as the acting director of the New York City Police Departnt, he was certainly able to implicate many others from the sa camp.
