Chapter 695: Chapter 348: The Changes in the Situation After David’s ‘Death’_2

[Wall Street Journal: He was a good public servant, a daring pioneer of taxation, but unfortunately, talent is often envied by fate.]

At tis during David’s life, he provoked certain individuals, and the newspapers they controlled would occasionally lash out at him.

But, as they say, ‘the dead are honored,’ and now that he had passed, no daring dia outlet would rejoice in his misfortune; they all praised him and observed a mont of silence.

At nine in the morning, a large group of dia arrived at the Salem City Police Station.

A notice had been issued recently by the station, announcing so progress in the investigation of yesterday’s explosion at La Quinta Hotel, so nurous dia outlets attended, eager to learn about the case.

“Lopez, the chief, has arrived!”

...

Before the watchful eyes of the dia gathered there, Lopez approached the microphone with a stack of materials in hand and said, “Good morning, everyone. Following an overnight investigation into the explosion at La Quinta Hotel yesterday, we have made so progress.”

He then held up several photos for everyone to see.

“Lopez, the chief, who is this?” a reporter asked from below.

“This man’s na is Lobortka. According to records from the police departnts in Los Angeles and Boston, he was arrested in 2006 and 2014 for suspected bomb-making but was ultimately acquitted each ti. The reason he was released was that he had a Dream Team of Lawyers defending him in both cases!”

“After our investigation, we found that shortly after Inspector David went to attend an event, this man entered the hotel. Additionally, we’ve checked his credit card records and found purchases of materials for making explosives, giving us sufficient reason to suspect he’s the perpetrator!”

Lopez then brought out more photos, revealing that those familiar with La Quinta Hotel could recognize that Lobortka was indeed inside the hotel.

“Lopez, the chief, if this man is the suspect in the assassination of Inspector David, what was his motive?”

“The main reason this suspect was acquitted after his arrests in 2006 and 2014 was that he was defended by Dream Team of Lawyers, but according to our investigations, the funds for these lawyers were provided by the Camora Family from Los Angeles!”

“What, this involves the Camora Family?”

“The Camora Family? Is that the sa family that Inspector David had sentenced to severe penalties and imprisonnt?”

“It seems to be the revenge of this damn criminal family…”

“Logically speaking, the Camora Family has been in prison for several months already. They could have sought revenge earlier, yet they waited until Inspector David completed his taxation audits in Silicon Valley, aiming next at Wall Street, which seems… sowhat incongruent!”

That night, people nationwide were speculating about who had planned and carried out the assassination. Now, they understood that it was the Camora Family, who David had personally sent to prison.

Yet, many still expressed skepticism.

Why would the Camora Family delay their revenge until David was about to investigate Wall Street and then suddenly act?

These circumstances seed suspicious to many.

Amidst this discussion, a police officer approached Lopez, whispered sothing in his ear, following which Lopez showed signs of delight. He then addressed the gathered dia, “Ladies and gentlen, I have just received so good news. Just monts ago, our officers caught the suspect in an abandoned factory in the outskirts. We will interrogate the suspect further, and to maintain the integrity of the case, we will hand it over to the FBI, who will then announce the results…”

Washington D.C., Internal Revenue Service Headquarters.

“It looks like these bastards made all their preparations before they acted!” Donald grimly cursed as he watched the content of Lopez’s presentation on the large screen in the eting room.

At that mont, although Obadiah and his associates did not speak, their expressions weren’t any better.

Soon after the assassination had occurred yesterday, Madu Aike from the FBI had personally visited their headquarters.

Although on the surface, he claid he would diligently investigate the incident and provide an explanation to the Internal Revenue Service,

the underlying implication of his words was a hint that such cases of assassination were under the purview of the police and the FBI, not within the managent scope of the Internal Revenue Service.

Furthermore, he was threatening them – the person was already dead, and he wanted them not to act rashly.

Just as the atmosphere beca rather tense, the door to the conference room was pushed open and Rohan entered.

“Rohan, what’s the attitude over at the White House now?”

Obadiah quickly looked at Rohan and asked.

“The President didn’t see , but Chief of Staff Wylder did, and he conveyed a clear ssage that the Internal Revenue Service is supposed to handle taxes and should leave matters of assassination to the FBI. He also expressed condolences and urged us to remain calm.”

“Damn it, how could this be!”

Obadiah slamd his hand on the table, the White House’s position was practically telling him not to retaliate.

“Also, through Wylder, I learned that after the assassination yesterday, the President was quite angry. However, later our Secretary of State, the Director of National Security Agency, the Secretary of Defense, and the Deputy Secretary of Justice… all these people collectively visited the President’s office, which I think is why the White House is responding this way.”

“What, the Secretary of State, the Director of the National Security Agency, the Secretary of Defense…all went to see the President together?”

Upon hearing this, everyone present, including Obadiah who had been furious earlier, showed shocked expressions.

Others might not know, but as senior executives of the Internal Revenue Service, they were very well aware that the current Secretary of State was a person from the Freemasonry Group, the Director of the National Security Agency was supposedly from the Illuminati, and the Secretary of Defense was from the Ansa Group.

If these people had collectively visited the White House after David’s assassination yesterday, that would explain why the White House was urging them not to seek retaliation.

“Ha, I thought so. Yesterday Madu Aike seed so confident, turns out these three major powers had secretly conspired together in planning this assassination!”

Following Madu Aike’s visit yesterday, Donald had already thoroughly confird that this incident was personally orchestrated by Freemasonry.

But he had not quite figured it out at that ti.

After all, powerful as Freemasonry might be, they weren’t powerful enough to boldly eliminate such a prestigious senior official of the Internal Revenue Service.

But if the Ansa Group and the Illuminati were involved as well, that explained their audacity.

“If that’s the case… Chief, it looks like we really must not act recklessly. Our Internal Revenue Service, powerful though it may be, cannot suppress The Big Three Groups.”

“Since David appeared, our Internal Revenue Service’s prestige had reached unprecedented levels, but if we don’t respond to this incident, all that prestige will instantly crumble, and I think you all need to consider this seriously!”

“Now the White House isn’t supporting us, and The Big Three Groups have joined forces. The key is, they even arranged the murderer. The revenge from the remnants of the Camora Family appears justifiable; what can we do? Even if we want to retaliate, we have no legitimate reason to do so!”

The senior executives of the Internal Revenue Service burst into debate,

and finally, Rohan’s words left everyone speechless.

Yes, not to ntion whether they could overco The Big Three Groups, the key point was that the murderer had already been declared caught, and motives along with evidence, had all been neatly arranged by Freemasonry.

Even if they wanted to take action, the Internal Revenue Service couldn’t find a reason to do so right away.
