Chapter 690: Chapter 346: Bomb Attack

“Use all our resources to trace this matter; I want to know all the operational details and the specific ti they plan to act!”

After a long hesitation, Elvis still couldn’t make a decision, and ultimately decided to first figure out the details of the operation before proceeding.

“Yes.”

Three days later, in the morning.

Brod entered Elvis’s office and said, “Sir, I’ve almost finished my investigation. The mastermind behind their action is Deputy Director Madu Aike of the FBI, and they plan to use a bomb attack for the assassination.”

...

“What else?”

“According to the schedule, David will attend a lecture event at a local university with the Oregon State Director of the Internal Revenue Service tomorrow. According to intelligence, the assassination will take place when he returns to his hotel, where they will detonate a bomb that had been placed in his room earlier.”

Listening to this, Elvis’s expression beca grave.

With the plan and the operational details in place, it seems that Freemasonry is indeed planning to go all out. But what should he do?

“Sir, now that we know about this, I think it actually presents an opportunity.”

“How so?”

Elvis pulled himself from his thoughts and looked at Brod.

“If we just sit by and let this happen, Freemasonry will not thank us for keeping their secret; instead, we will lose a formidable ally in David. This would not be to our benefit at all.”

“Do you an we should warn David?”

“This would indeed be saving his life, not sothing to be taken lightly.”

Elvis caught the implied aning in his confidant’s words, yet he still had so reservations and said hesitantly, “But if Freemasonry finds out about this…”

“They would need to know about it first!”

“Huh?”

Elvis suddenly snapped back to reality.

His relationship with David was not as publicly known as the FBI’s Gavin.

Currently, only the Chief of the Intelligence Agency and the Deputy Director who oversees the Intelligence Agency knew about his relationship with David.

And these two were neither from Freemasonry, the Ansa Group, nor the Illuminati.

This ant that even if he warned David, as long as it was done discreetly, Freemasonry might not necessarily know it was he who warned him!

“Sir, even if Freemasonry finds out we were the ones who warned him, by then David would have already taken asures, and they would be too busy dealing with his aggressive retaliation to worry about us.”

“To step back a bit, even if Freemasonry seeks retribution, we’re the ones who saved David. Could he and the Internal Revenue Service just watch as we, their saviors, are destroyed? Sotis, to survive in politics, we must choose sides, even if it poses so risks!”

Brod was indeed courageous in what he said, understanding the importance of David in Arican politics and knowing the value of saving his life.

“You’re right, sotis we must choose our side, and we’ve already chosen ours a long ti ago. We should stick to it. Prepare the information we’ve gathered these past few days, book a flight to Oregon imdiately—but rember, keep it low-profile!”

Elvis had been persuaded and, with a grit of his teeth, made a decision.

Oregon, Salem Downtown, La Quinta Hotel.

It was now five in the afternoon, and in one of the suites, David was talking to a man.

“This lecture, with Chief Inspector David attending, should help improve the tax situation in our state. After the lecture, we’ve also planned so activities…”

The man, incessantly speaking, was Clent Lunn, the State Director of the Oregon State Tax Bureau.

“As long as it helps Oregon’s taxes, you handle the arrangents, Director Clent.”

“Okay…”

In the ti that followed, Clent continued to discuss the details of the next day’s events with David until he stood up to leave around 6 pm.

Not long after his departure, the suite’s door was knocked on again. David opened the door and saw Inspector Manson, who he had brought from Washington D.C., but behind Manson, he also saw two familiar faces, CIA Deputy Director Elvis and his assistant Brod.

“Sorry to barge in like this, Director David, but the situation is quite urgent, and I didn’t have the chance to notify you earlier. I hope you don’t mind?”

“Not at all, Deputy Director Elvis, co in and let’s talk.”

The re fact that the head of the CIA’s Intelligence Division uttered the words “the situation is urgent” made David anticipate that this was no ordinary matter, and he quickly invited them in.

“Would you like sothing to drink, gentlen?”

“No need to bother so much, Director David. Did you know that your trip to Silicon Valley has really backed Freemasonry into a corner?”

“What do you an?”

“It seems my visit is quite tily; otherwise, Chief Inspector David, we might have had a hard chance of eting again!”

Elvis could see that the Freemasonry’s assassination plan might still be unknown to Director David.

But that seed normal. Whether it was David or the Internal Revenue Service, their main focus was on taxation, not like their CIA, which had a variety of information networks.

“What do you an?”

Even soone as naive as David could sense sothing was amiss, and his face grew solemn.
