Chapter 605: Chapter 305: Dialogue with the Four Great Families
“I’ve received the news that the people from the four major families will all attend the celebration dinner tonight, as well as high-ranking military officers, mbers of both the Senate and House of Representatives, and other political bigwigs. You need to keep a steady hand—don’t stir up any trouble.”
Though David had only said he was going to suss things out, the heavyweight figures attending the dinner were too nurous, and Donald was naturally worried about any mishaps, prompting the reminder.
“Don’t worry, Deputy Director Donald, I know what I’m doing.”
David was no fool; he was already being watched by Freemasonry and naturally wouldn’t offend the Ansa Group so easily. His true intention for attending that night was to simply gauge these people.

After leaving the headquarters, David and his entourage first arrived at the Westin Hotel located in the National Plaza for a temporary rest.
At seven in the evening.
David donned a freshly prepared black suit, adjusting his appearance in front of the mirror, before descending the stairs to ride a sedan towards the banquet location.
The Hyatt Hotel, located directly opposite Congressional Hill, was the venue for the evening’s dinner.
Because so many high-profile individuals were attending today, the area had been controlled early on, with nurous special service personnel stationed about, inspecting every vehicle that entered.
At this mont, David’s car had already arrived but was stopped by several special service agents at the entrance.
“It’s Director David, please co in.”
As the car window rolled down to reveal David’s face, the agents signaled for him to pass, and the car arrived unobstructed at the hotel entrance.
A staff mber dressed in a tailcoat imdiately ca over to open the car door, and after thanking him, David stepped out and entered the hotel lobby.
By now, a considerable crowd had already gathered inside, and upon seeing their faces, David felt a ripple in his heart.
So far, he had spotted the Deputy Minister of Defense, the Commander of the Pacific Fleet, three admirals, several mbers of the Senate and House of Representatives, and the CEOs of five major arms groups, among others.
And these were only the ones who had arrived; as for those big shots who hadn’t yet shown up, it was anyone’s guess.
It seed that the saying about the Ansa Group tightly holding Arica’s gun wasn’t an exaggeration at all.
Even though the guests were chatting amongst themselves, they weren’t blind; many had already noticed David’s entrance, with a touch of keen interest flashing in their eyes.

Just then, a call disrupted the silence at the scene, and the voice sounded familiar to David. He turned his head and saw Sean, with a smiling face, walking towards him.
“I’m very grateful you could co today.”
As Sean approached, he made no attempt to hide his close relationship with David, instead, opening his arms to reveal the warst welco.
“And I should thank you for the invitation, Mr. Sean.”
David did not reject his warmth, reciprocating the embrace.
“Oh yes, let introduce you to a few friends.”
Sean led David to a group on the left side, where the Deputy Minister of Defense, the Commander of the Pacific Fleet, and several military admirals stood.
“This is Deputy Minister Jeremy, this is Commander Laskin, this is Admiral Odebich, and this is…”
After introducing them to David, Sean turned and told the others, “Gentlen, this is Director David, soone I believe you’re all familiar with.”
The Deputy Minister of Defense, Jeremy, was the first to extend a hand, showing a friendly expression, “Director David, we’re very thankful for your contributions to Arica’s defense.”
“You are too kind, Deputy Minister Jeremy; I’m just fulfilling my duties.”
“Director David, the approval of the $100 billion fund for the W Act was greatly thanks to you. Without that, this bill wouldn’t have even reached the House of Representatives, let alone be passed.”
“Director David…”
In the ti that followed, the Commander of the Pacific Fleet, as well as the admirals, each took their turn shaking hands with him and expressing their friendliness.
It wasn’t difficult to understand their cordiality toward David; they too were part of the Ansa Group, and the group as a whole stood to benefit from the bill’s passing.
Of course, there was another important reason.
The initial funding for the W Act was set at $100 billion, with additional clauses to follow. Naturally, they hoped that Director David would secure more funding to further supplent the W Act.

Like the military heads before them, they were also very friendly towards David, and naturally, their friendliness was also goal-oriented. Through their words, they hinted at David, hoping to secure more supplental funds for the W Act.
anwhile, David responded politely, but his thoughts were elsewhere, as he covertly scrutinized the people and other attendees at the event.
As ti passed, more and more people joined the party, with big nas from both the political and business worlds arriving in succession.
Observing so of the arrivals, a playful look appeared on David’s face.
It was because he noticed that several ‘main characters’ from the USB drive regarding Lolita Island that he had obtained last ti were present here.
