Chapter 377: Chapter 217: Arrested on the Spot and Brought to Court Trial_2
“`
“Teach them a lesson?”
João, who was troubled, was taken aback when he heard this, and then pressed on, “How do you suggest we do that?”
“Agree first!”
After contemplating, João thought that if they didn’t deal with the nuisance of the Human Rights Organization, even if they secured another courtroom success that day, the organization’s protest would undoubtedly steal the spotlight. With this in mind, he had no choice but to nod and say, “Fine, I agree. Go ahead and handle it!”
Without saying more, David walked down the stairs and headed toward the Human Rights Organization, with Buckynison Simmons and a few others quick-stepping behind him.
Soon, David confronted the group.
Seeing David’s imposing approach, the Human Rights Organization temporarily halted its protest to hear what he had to say.
“I’m asking you, who threw these beer bottles?”
The crowd montarily fell silent; after all, David had built his prestige on leading ard incursions into Indian Tribe territory and ruthlessly dismantling Rodrigozki Group. Now, facing his fierce deanor, so mbers of the organization were admittedly intimidated.
“Was it you?”
David pointed at one person, and seeing them hanging their head, unable to speak, he pointed to another, “Or was it you? Or perhaps, it was you or you?”
The few called out shrank back, silent.
However, one curly-haired young man on the right, who hadn’t been singled out, couldn’t hold back any longer. They had co for fa, to be praised as ‘fighters for humanity’ nationwide; how could they cower before David now?
Breaking through the crowd, he stood up straight and defiantly declared, “Fuck, it was . What are you going to do about it?”
“And , I threw one too!”
“I admit it as well!”
“Count in!”
The herd ntality is not unique to sheep; humans are the sa. Once they saw a comrade taking a stand, the rest were ignited with passion, rushing to admit their involvent one after another.
“Damn, this is too arrogant!”
“That’s Director David, the one who has led ard incursions into Indian Tribe territory and just recently captured Rodrigozki from Bear Country. These people are incredibly bold.”
“How else do you explain why they’re all a bunch of madn? I wouldn’t dare provoke the IRS and Director David like this.”
As a multitude of dia were broadcasting live, viewers watching the spectacle exploded with excitent and shock.
But what stunned them even more ca next.
Seeing that David appeared to be overwheld, a man stepped forward, pulled out a wad of cash from his pocket, and said, “I threw one too. So what? Are you going to charge with endangering public safety? Fine, I accept that charge. The punishnt is nothing but a 24-hour detention and a fine of 300. Here, here’s 300.”
With that, he tossed three hundred-dollar bills at David’s feet.
The scene stunned the dia journalists present and the live viewers into silence.
Such defiance and provocation were too much for Nisen and Bucky standing behind David. They gritted their teeth, ready to step forward and teach a lesson, but David’s outstretched arms held them back.

After a careful inspection, the tax affairs of these Human Rights Organization mbers were indeed clean, which explained why they dared to protest so boldly.
What these people didn’t know was that the IRS had conducted an investigation and found that among Arica’s population of over 300 million, virtually everyone had evaded taxes in so way or another.
Sotis, certain unintentional inco can lead to tax evasion, just without one’s realization.
The IRS generally turns a blind eye to such minor tax evasions resulting from unintentional inco, not actively pursuing them.
After all, the money involved is usually insignificant; it would be more worthwhile to investigate a few major cases than chasing after small fry.
However, just because the IRS doesn’t pursue these cases doesn’t an they lack the authority to do so.
As a court chief once said, ‘The power to interpret the law is in my hands!’
Similarly, the IRS has the power to interpret tax laws. If an instance of tax evasion is identified, they may choose not to pursue it, but they absolutely can if they wish to.
And now, with the Human Rights Organization so blatantly challenging them, if David didn’t ticulously enforce the law to its fullest extent, where would his authority stand?
He certainly didn’t want his prestige, earned from ard action and defeating Rodrigozki, to be stripped away by the Human Rights Organization!
Gathering his thoughts, David looked impassively at the man who had thrown the money and said, “Charge you with endangering public safety? That charge is too light for you!”
“Hmph, then what do you want to charge us with!”
