Chapter 347: Chapter 208: Putting a Bounty on Taking Out David

On the other side of the corridor, the witnesses who had been “ntally prepared” by David began to co out sporadically.

Seeing these people take their places on the witness stand, many Bear Countryn in the defendant’s benches glared furiously, seemingly having guessed the outco that was to follow.

Regardless of what they were thinking, Nicole, presiding over the proceedings, directly addressed them, “Witness, please introduce yourselves, stating your nas and positions.”

“Your Honor, my na is Shelley, and I’m the deputy general manager of Lili Financial Company.”

“Your Honor, I am Lev, the business manager of Lili Financial Company.”

“Your Honor, I am…”

More than a dozen prisoners introduced themselves one by one, stating their nas and positions.

Once everyone finished introducing themselves, Nicole turned to Shelley and asked, “Alright, Mr. Shelley, you may now present your testimony.”

“Very well, Your Honor, I beca acquainted with the Rodrigozki drug trafficking group in 2016 when they ca to with $5,000 in cash, asking to launder the money for them. At first, I was reluctant, but due to their organization’s notoriety, and the handso commission they offered…”

Shelley recounted how he initially ca to know the Rodrigozki Group and later established a long-term partnership with them.

After hearing Shelley’s account, Nicole picked up a page from the file of docunts and inquired, “Mr. Shelley, according to the records, account numbers 6365XXXX, 5789XXXX, 5667XXXX… belong to Hill, Lambert, Milne Julian… Yet these individuals are not affiliated with the Rodrigozki Group. How do you explain this?”

“Yes, Your Honor, indeed these individuals don’t belong to the Rodrigozki Group. They are nominees I found specifically for holding these accounts, but the funds were actually still controlled by mbers of the Rodrigozki Group.”

Nicole nodded and looked toward the defendants’ benches where Marcellus and the attorneys were seated, asking, “Defendants and defense attorneys, do you have any rebuttal to this?”

These accounts were all directly managed by Shelley, so what could Marcellus and the others possibly argue? And the lawyers they hastily brought in had even less to say.

Seeing that no one objected, Nicole shifted her gaze to Lev and asked, “Mr. Lev, you may now present your testimony.”

“Your Honor, like Shelley, I also t them in the year 2016…”

Lev detailed his own connections with the Rodrigozki Group as well.

Nicole then picked up another set of docunts and asked, “Alright, Mr. Lev, the owners of the account numbers 4764XXXX, 2349XXXX… are Wright, Prescott… These individuals also, according to the investigation, have no ties to the Rodrigozki Group. What do you have to say about this?”

“Your Honor, these individuals are also nominees I found for them, but the reality is that the funds are in the hands of Rodrigozki Group mbers.”

Turning her head again to look at the defendants, Nicole asked, “Defendants, defense attorneys, do you have any rebuttal?”

By now, the faces of Marcellus and the others were ashen, unable to utter a word.

“Good, let’s continue…”

In the ti that followed, Nicole conducted a string of over ten more witnesses, and their testimonies left Marcellus and his group completely without the power to refute or resist.

At this point, everyone in the courtroom and the gallery began to experience a variety of emotions, knowing that by now, the guilt of the Rodrigozki Group had been thoroughly established.

With this realization, many in the audience, including Vivian, Felton, and several others, cast complex glances toward David.

Before the trial began, many thought that David’s evidence might not be sufficient to convict the group; even if a conviction were possible, it might simply be due to the Tax Bureau’s court’s willingness to force a conviction.

But now, what force was there to talk about? This evidence would be enough to undoubtedly secure a conviction for the group in any court under the Departnt of Justice, not just here at the Tax Bureau’s courtroom.

Washington D.C. Headquarters.

With the case all but decided, Donald’s supporters, who were in David’s corner, struggled to suppress grins broader than an AK’s muzzle.

anwhile, the expressions of Welton Heng Hanrahan and his faction were as black as coal.

“All rise!”

In the courtroom, everyone stood up, and Nicole announced solemnly, “Defendant Marcellus, found guilty of tax evasion, with the amount being substantial, is hereby sentenced to 1,200 years of imprisonnt without the possibility of parole. Furthermore, considering that the funds were ill-gotten gains, all assets totaling $39 million in the accounts are to be confiscated!”

“Defendant Lev, found guilty of tax evasion, with the amount being substantial, is hereby sentenced to 1,200 years of imprisonnt without the possibility of parole. Furthermore, considering that the funds were ill-gotten gains, all assets totaling $35 million in the accounts are to be confiscated!”

“Defendant Abram…”

As the sentences were handed down, Marcellus and the other Bear Countryn slumped in their seats like mud, while shock registered on the faces of many spectators below.

When David was in Nevada State, all the criminals brought to court there received similarly heavy sentences.

And now Marcellus and his group faced the sa fate. It was clear that David intended to bring his stringent thods from Nevada to Los Angeles.

“Aggregating all the assets, a total of $277 million will be confiscated to the Western Suburb Branch of the Tax Bureau Vault!”
