Stevenson heard the sarcasm in her voice that his tenure as Governor was coming to an inglorious end, and he gritted his teeth and retorted, "Fine, fine, very good, Laurie, Oldington, I'll rember both of you, now get out of here!"

Stevenson went through the whole situation, then nervously paced back and forth with the phone in his hand.
After about a minute of silence, the voice on the phone said, "Stevenson, you've greatly disappointed ..."
