Upon hearing these words, Eugene and Stevenson, particularly Stevenson, had their expressions suddenly freeze.
He knew all too well what a sly fox Lawson was, and now that the latter had used the words "violated regulations" against him, he must have had so heavyweight leverage in his hands.

At this ti, the host Milton had regained his composure and asked, "Mr. Louson, what is this violation you're alleging the Governor committed?"

When Lawson spat out these five words, people all across Nevada State watching the broadcast shuddered again.
The cities of Reno and Orray in Nevada State were adjacent to each other, but because they were located between mountains and rivers, the traffic between the two cities had always been very inconvenient.
Thus, as far back as seven or eight years ago, the local city hall proposed to the state governnt the building of a large bridge over one of the local rivers, which would not only promote trade between the two places but also facilitate the travel of the residents of both cities.
However, even after the local city hall had completed the planning and even chosen a na for the bridge and submitted the proposal to the state governnt, it was repeatedly unable to obtain the state governnt's approval for many years.
It wasn't until November 2021 that the state governnt's approval finally ca through, and the construction of the Golden Ear Bridge officially began.
Overall, although the bridge's approval had been delayed for many years, it wasn't much of an issue now that construction had started.
So at this mont, neither Milton nor any other viewers from Nevada State understood what Lawson ant by bringing up the bridge.
But that was sothing others didn't understand.
At the Governor's Mansion, Eugene and Stevenson, having heard ntion of this bridge, had a bad feeling in their hearts.

"Let's not get excited, Governor. Although he knows the exact amount, verbal claims aren't proof. We can issue him a legal notice right now for defamation, if there's no evidence!"
Eugene's words sowhat cald Stevenson down.
Well, that was true.
Arica values evidence above all; without it, no matter how flowery one's words are, they are aningless.

Milton had just managed to recover from his shock and questioned, "Mr. Lawson, Stevenson is our Governor of Nevada State. You claim that he accepted a bribe of one million US dollars from this bridge. Do you have any concrete evidence?"

At his level, if he couldn't comprehend the significance and lethality of the docunt, he wouldn't be fit to serve as Governor.
Eugene, also with an ashen face at this mont but not being the person directly involved, still managed to keep his wits and said, "Don't bother thinking about it. Lawson couldn't possibly have gotten his hands on such a detailed report. It must be David's work!"

Stevenson was jolted awake, angrily spitting out the na.
Indeed.
Lawson was just a Senatorial candidate after all. If he had had access to such information, he would have used it to retaliate when he criticized him for wastefulness, instead of waiting until now.
And the fact that they're bringing it up now, in conjunction with David currently being in Carson City and their eting a few days ago, the conclusion was self-evident.
In fact, it proved that the two of them had indeed conspired!
"Governor, dwelling on this is pointless. We must deal with this docunt. Otherwise, if things continue to fernt..."
Eugene didn't continue.

"If Governor Stevenson could gather information about our team's excessive spending, then we naturally could investigate his suspected regulatory violations!"
Lawson also rembered David's words that this matter couldn't be linked to the IRS or David in any way.
This act was initially ant to make him a pawn, but now he felt it was quite exhilarating, especially as it firmly struck back at Stevenson.
Moreover, there was another key point.
He was the whistleblower on the Governor's misconduct, the dragon slayer!
Perhaps this could attract a significant number of voters for him, earning him a substantial number of votes!

Receiving confirmation, Lawson's face instantly flushed with excitent.
