At this mont, David, who was about to go up the stairs, finally reacted and imdiately turned around to draw his service pistol.

Soon, he saw the man lying on the ground not far away, and seeing Nisen still sitting in the car, he instantly understood everything!

He had been attacked!

And Nisen had seemingly saved his life!

His thoughts flashing by, David aid at the man on the ground while rushing forward, and Nisen also got out of the car and joined him in the charge.

The man on the ground tried to pick up the gun to resist, but Nisen kicked his wrist, causing the gun to fall to the ground.

[Na: Iman Prich.]

[Occupation: Assassin.]

[Monthly Inco: Sixty Thousand US dollars.]

[More Details...]

[Tax Due: Fifteen Thousand US dollars.]

"You dare to kill soone from the IRS, tell , who sent you!"

As Nisen interrogated the man, David also used his golden finger to quickly read the man's information, darkening his expression as he did so.

He knew Virginia, one of the four under Dieter's command.

This guy instructing the man before him to kill him was certainly Dieter's doing!

David had thought Dieter, though audacious, would not dare to have him killed at this critical juncture.

After all, he was investigating Dieter for tax evasion; if anything happened, everyone would know it had sothing to do with Dieter!

But now, it seed he had underestimated Dieter's audacity!

"David, he's definitely one of Dieter's n!"

Even though the man was clenching his teeth, Nisen was not a fool, he wondered why during their seizure of the nightclub, Dieter had shown no reaction.

Apparently, Dieter had already planned for this!

"Call an ambulance first!"

Initially, David's plan was to coerce Dieter into paying his taxes; he had no intention of actually causing his death.

After all, there was no personal vendetta between them.

As long as Dieter was willing to pay his taxes honestly, then David would get his revenue, the IRS would have a substantial amount of taxes coming in every month, and everyone would be happy.

But now, not only was Dieter unwilling to pay the taxes, he had actually tried to have him killed, which ant David could not be lenient.

He had to kill this "chicken" to warn those criminals that resorting to such thods would have grave consequences!

Just as David was caught in his thoughts, his phone rang, interrupting him. He picked it up and saw that it was a call from his team mber Ariel and quickly answered, "Speak!"

"Director David, Immigration just called , saying Sapir has booked a ticket to China!"

While investigating the Dieter case, David had instructed his team to not only focus on Dieter but also keep an eye on his key personnel to prevent them from fleeing.

So now that Sapir was trying to run, he naturally couldn't escape the surveillance of the IRS system.

"Notify Simmons to intercept him and bring him to our IRS interrogation room!"

The appearance of this assassin, combined with Sapir's attempt to flee, quickly led David to surmise the reason.

Unlike Dieter, Sapir was a lawyer and a smart man. He knew exactly what the response would be if an IRS director was assassinated, so the best course of action for self-preservation was to flee!

But David naturally would not let him escape; he was one of the weapons to be used against Dieter.

Rescue operations in Arica are very quick.

In the few minutes that David had been on the phone, the ambulance arrived at the scene.

And accompanying the ambulance was a police car.

The car door opened and two officers stepped out.

To the slight surprise of Nisen and David, these officers were none other than Smith's subordinates, Wade and Balk.

Approaching Wade Balk, who upon seeing David also looked perplexed.

They were patrolling nearby and had received a call from a concerned citizen about a shooting here, so they imdiately rushed over.

But they hadn't expected to find the one person they least wanted to see!

However, wait a mont...

A shooting?

Wade and Balk glanced at the motorcycle on the ground, the submachine gun that had fallen, and then at the gunman.

Suddenly, a thought occurred to them.

This gunman... could he have been here to kill David?

Obviously, they knew about the IRS's investigation into Dieter.

Could it be... this gunman was sent by Dieter?

Realizing this possibility, a surge of shock washed over them!

If that were the case, this was serious trouble!

"Isn't that Officers Wade, Balk!"

Hearing Nisen's words, the two n ca back to reality, and Wade spoke, "I received a report from the citizens that there was a shooting here. What happened, Inspector Nisen, Director David, are you both alright, what happened here?"

Nisen pointed at the man and said with a snort, "This guy dared to try to murder our Chief Tax Officer in broad daylight!"

Nisen's words confird the officers' suspicions.

Balk then stepped to the side, dialed a number, and said, "We've got trouble chief, Director David of the IRS has been the target of an assassination attempt..."
