The Ruin's Stone Altars.
The evil aura leaking out due to the damaged magic arrays was currently converging along a specific path on the ground.
Jason pressed a hand to the dirt, then stood up after a mont.
"The passage is right here. If you want, I can use the evil aura to summon it right now." He looked at William beside him.
This was agreed upon beforehand.
The outer layer of the Source Power passage was protected by a Church magic array, making it impossible to reach through normal ans.
William hadn't spoken yet.
Longbarn beside him, however, frowned: "This... shouldn't we be more careful."
As he spoke, he instinctively put a bit more distance between himself and Jason.
At this mont, the people standing here were clearly divided into two groups. On one side were the terrifying-looking ghosts and monsters, and on the other were the exorcists who had just been rescued.
But the expressions of the latter group were rather peculiar.
Upon learning they had been saved by ghosts and monsters, these exorcists looked as if they had swallowed flies.
Especially now that they had to cooperate with these "enemies," their feelings were practically beyond words.
"If any of you are worried about danger, you can leave right now. We will hold off the Church's people," William said calmly.
"Hey! We are not cowardly cowards. You guys stay away from !" Henry said, shaking off the ghost twins next to him.
He had been rescued by these two earlier, but he didn't expect them to stick to him like glue afterward.
"The Church dared to sacrifice all exorcists for their own selfish gain. We absolutely will not let this go!"
Pence also nodded: "We feel the sa as these monster friends."
"Who is friends with who!" Henry roared.
Hawkwood, standing nearby, wore a calm expression.
When he learned the truth not long ago, he found it hard to believe as well. But as an experienced exorcist, he knew what he had to do, so he joined William's side without hesitation.
Thinking of this, he looked at this young priest again. He had heard Henry and Pence ntion him many tis before.
But after truly eting him, Hawkwood realized this man was far more astounding than he had imagined.
"To actually be able to command so many ghosts and monsters... it's truly... unimaginable."
William nodded: "Since that's the case, let's begin."
Hearing this, Jason imdiately slamd a fist into the ground.
Accompanied by cracks spreading across the earth, a circular pit suddenly appeared.
Imdiately after, the gathered evil aura beca active, creeping toward the pit.
"How dare you!" Rorsie threw out a holy relic, and a blinding light instantly flared in the dense forest.
But the next mont, the surrounding ghosts and monsters pounced again.
At this ti, the dirt and rocks inside the circular pit suddenly caved in.
With a massive rumble, the ground abruptly collapsed, revealing a gigantic crater. The bottom was pitch-black.
And at the edges, streams of evil aura were flowing downwards.
Simultaneously, everyone present, whether human or monster, heard a dense chorus of whispers.
Just as everyone was feeling confused, a golden light suddenly flared from within the crater!
Subsequently, a crucifix outlined in golden light floated in mid-air inside the pit.
The sound of chanting scriptures instantly echoed in everyone's ears.
Poof... Poof!
Almost simultaneously, many monsters in the dense forest suddenly burst apart, splattering flesh and blood all over the ground.
Seeing this scene, the Holy Clergy mbers' eyes lit up.
"The ritual has activated!" Rorsie narrowed her eyes tightly.
Although it was much earlier than planned, as long as the ritual activated, these monsters could no longer escape, and they could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"I can feel the power from the Unknowable Space... No! If we stay any longer, we will die!" Jason growled low.
Three rings of golden patterns surfaced around William's pupils.
From his perspective right now, he could indeed sense a powerful, ancient force that had purged all the evil aura previously inside the passage.
"Could there be a Legendary Item at the bottom of the crater..." he mused inwardly.
However, this power also severed the connection between the ghosts and monsters and the passage, so Jason instantly vanished from the spot.
The other monsters also scattered and fled into the distance.
At this ti, another developnt occurred!
The surface of the golden crucifix floating in the center of the pit suddenly shot a beam of golden light toward the bottom.
This light seed to contain a special power. Upon reaching the bottom, it actually projected a crucifix brand into the void.
The next mont, the surface of the brand shimred, and a rift appeared out of thin air.
Pristine white light glowed from within the rift, leading to an unknown destination.
rely a second later, nurous pristine white feathers suddenly appeared near the rift, and golden runes surfaced on the surrounding walls of the crater.
Hum—
With a soft hum, a powerful surge of Holy Power abruptly erupted from within the crater, shooting straight toward the heavens.
Outskirts of the dense forest.
Hugh Rowland blocked an attack, then abruptly turned his head.
"Holy Power of this intensity... that's definitely no Legendary Item!" He frowned deeply. "What exactly did you summon!"
Sandri snorted coldly: "That is none of Your Excellency's concern."
As soon as he finished speaking, he charged at the Grand Master of the Lord Knights again.
Dense Forest Stone Altars.
The Holy Clergy mbers present wore smiles. They all knelt toward the Source Power passage and began chanting the Bible.
Faint light also began to glow from their bodies.
"Whatever they are planning to do, we must stop them, otherwise..." Before Hawkwood could finish his sentence, another unforeseen event occurred.
The golden crucifix in mid-air suddenly wavered, and a streak of bright red abruptly appeared in its center.
The next mont, this bright red color spread outward, encroaching upon the golden light step by step.
In just a few seconds, only a blood-red crucifix remained in mid-air.
Seeing this scene, the Holy Clergy mbers present all cried out in shock, not knowing what exactly had happened.
At the sa ti, at the bottom of the crater.
A skeletal hand suddenly reached out from the side of the crucifix rift and grabbed it tightly.
The surrounding feathers and runes flared with light, attempting to repel the skeletal hand, but the surrounding evil aura suddenly surged toward it, instantly enveloping those things.
When the evil aura dissipated once again, the original crucifix rift had disappeared.
In its place was a rift that filled the entire bottom of the crater, its surface rippling with a faint energy barrier.
On the other side of the rift were nurous dark silhouettes, each exuding formidable evil power.
Simultaneously, pairs of hands pressed against the barrier, seemingly trying to break through this obstacle.
Crack... Crack...
The sound of shattering echoed through the dense forest, and an incredibly oppressive feeling gripped everyone's heart.
Whoosh... Whoosh...
At this ti, several figures flashed out from the woods, and then several people appeared around the crater.
"Your Excellency the Grand Master!" Pence's eyes lit up as he looked at the burly figure before him.
On the other side, two Holy Clergy mbers appeared beside Rorsie.
"You actually allowed the Demon God's legion to descend!" Hugh snorted coldly. "Does the Church want to bring about the destruction of the world!"
Sandri's face was impassive: "At this point, save your aningless accusations."
"Instead of wasting ti chatting, we should repair the magic array together and drive those guys back before they break through the barrier."
"Do you think we would ever trust you again!" Henry gripped his longsword tightly.
Sandri averted his gaze, completely disdaining to answer.
"Repair the magic array," Hugh suddenly spoke.
"Grand Master!" Henry looked incredulous. "It was them..."
He was interrupted by Hugh before he could finish.
"I know, but the big picture is more important right now," Hugh said in a deep voice.
Henry clenched his fists, ultimately forced to sheathe his longsword.
Thus, under the Church's direction, the exorcists present bizarrely began maintaining the magic array once more.
But having learned their lesson, they didn't dare fully commit themselves to it this ti.
Both sides were highly vigilant of each other, ready to back away at a mont's notice.
Under these circumstances, the power of the magic array was naturally struggling to suppress the evil forces.
Consequently, as another surge of pitch-black power erupted from within the crater, the barrier at the bottom shattered completely, revealing the scene inside.
Decay, crimson red, and overlapping demonic silhouettes.
Pairs of bright red eyes suddenly lit up, glaring at the exit above.
Accompanied by two piercing screeches echoing through the forest, two long, emaciated monsters crawled up.
Seeing this scene, many exorcists imdiately harbored thoughts of retreating.
The Church's side, however, activated their Holy Power once again, and a beam of Holy Light imdiately shone toward the opening.
But the target of the Holy Light wasn't the two monsters, but the bright red crucifix floating in mid-air.
The next second, the bright red color on the surface of the crucifix slowly faded, revealing a stone tablet engraved with text.
Imdiately after, this stone tablet was pulled toward the Church's side, but due to the interference of the evil aura, it didn't imdiately leave the periter of the crater.
"That is the Tablet of the Ten Commandnts. The Church intends to take away the key sacrificial item of the magic array," Hugh said in a deep voice.
What this ant was abundantly clear to all the exorcists present.
And so, this seemingly served as a signal.
Imdiately, many people abandoned their posts at the magic array and fled toward the outskirts.
"A bunch of cowardly cowards afraid of death! rely two monsters appear, and they lose all courage to fight!" Henry trembled all over.
Just at this mont, a figure suddenly flew toward the crater, imdiately drawing the attention of many.
"William!"
"Mr. William!"
"..."
The exorcists who recognized the figure cried out in surprise.
A Holy Light barrier materialized around William, isolating him from the external evil aura.
But the evil power at the bottom was too strong, so even he couldn't hold out for long.
He leaped next to the Tablet of the Ten Commandnts and snatched the item in his hand.
"Damn bastard!"
"What are you trying to do!"
The Church's side imdiately charged over.
Simultaneously, the two monsters at the bottom of the crater also spotted the prey delivering itself to their doorstep and lunged forward with a roar.
But the next mont, two chains appeared on the monsters, binding them in place.
William then changed direction and dove headfirst into the crater.
This scene left everyone present utterly shocked.
"He actually voluntarily jumped into an open passage! Is he looking for death!"
"Damn it! This guy must be crazy!"
"..."
anwhile, inside the passage.
The Book of the World floated beside William. Currently, a powerful suction force emanated from its pages, drawing in the surrounding evil aura.
Not a single speck of it tainted him.
William descended all the way to the bottom of the crater, hovering right above the rift.
"A human, actually daring to co alone. Truly courageous," a deep voice suddenly echoed from within the rift.
The next second, another voice followed.
"It's you! Damn priest! I've waited for you for a long ti!"
"I have also been searching for this human. His soul belongs solely to ."
"..."
For a mont, it seed an argunt broke out on the other side of the rift.
"It seems everyone here has a bone to pick with ," William said with a calm expression.
"To actually suffer a defeat at the hands of a human... you guys must have been mocked by your peers for a long ti."
"Damn you!"
"Shut your mouth!"
"..."
The evil power within the rift erupted violently. The entities on the other side were clearly enraged.
The next mont, the energy on the surface of the rift rippled, and two massive silhouettes materialized.
But the surrounding space imdiately showed signs of collapsing, and the rift itself grew sowhat unstable.
These two shadows seed very apprehensive. Ultimately, they remained in place, only severing a portion of their limbs and sending them flying toward William.
These two severed pieces continuously expanded and regenerated, quickly transforming into two monsters.
One looked like a crow, its feathers pitch-black and its eyes blood-red.
The other was a deathly pale infant, with a miniature black dragon covered in scales between its legs.
"So it's you guys," William raised an eyebrow.
These two were precisely Valak and Mappa, whom he had encountered before.
Without any hesitation, he imdiately flew toward the entrance of the crater.
The two Demon Gods followed closely behind.
In the dense forest.
The exorcists who had stayed behind had also gathered around the crater by now.
Seeing sothing erging from below, everyone imdiately assud a defensive stance.
The next second, William shot up into mid-air.
"It's this guy! He's actually not dead yet!"
"Where is the Tablet of the Ten Commandnts!"
"..."
Before the Church's side could do anything, they noticed the monsters behind William.
"This aura... it's a demon!"
The exorcists looked grave, not expecting the Demon Gods to break through the barrier so quickly.
But the next second, they realized the demons' power didn't seem that strong.
Everyone imdiately understood this was only a fraction of their power.
Sandri imdiately ordered: "Secure the stone tablet first, then deal with those demons."
The other exorcists also activated their powers, ready to adapt to the situation.
But at this mont, William suddenly stopped in mid-air. Just as he was about to fall, he threw a black leather book outward.
The next mont.
Flip... Flip...
The pages of the book suddenly began to turn, arriving beside the two Demon Gods in the blink of an eye.
Before they could react, a powerful suction force surged from it, extracting the evil power from the demons' bodies.
The two Demon Gods attempted to resist, but found they were completely unable to control their own power, leaving them utterly shocked.
Seeing this scene, several exorcists widened their eyes.
"This is! The Book of the World!"
"To think it's in his hands. So back then..."
Everyone, including the Church, instantly understood many things.
Returning empty-handed from the Land of the Holy War, the series of Legendary Item thefts across the globe...
The culprit behind all this was this young man nad William before them.
At the sa ti, Sandri and Hugh Rowland both realized one thing.
"Stop him! This guy is trying to close the Source Power passage!"
"We cannot let him succeed, or all supernatural power in the world will disappear!"
The two shouted simultaneously, their faces revealing an unprecedented look of panic.
The exorcists were sowhat stunned. They couldn't quite comprehend the situation for a mont, and besides, most of them knew William personally.
The Church's side reacted much faster, the Holy Clergy mbers instantly activating their holy artifacts.
But the Book of the World was one step ahead.
The two Demon Gods shrank smaller and smaller, ultimately vanishing completely into mid-air.
The Church, the exorcists, and the Demon God's legion at the bottom of the crater... all eyes were fixed on the figure in the black cassock.
In this mont, the three factions seemingly found a common enemy.
But William felt no fear whatsoever.
His figure blurred, appearing beside the Book of the World again. He then pulled out another item.
It was a stone tablet engraved with runes.
William brought the stone tablet close to the black leather book. The surface of the forr imdiately glowed with golden light, which then began to converge onto the pages.
Seeing this, Sandri's eyes practically bulged out of his head.
"Stop!"
