"In the na of the Father and the Son..."

William took out the Holy Water and poured it down the throats of the three n, then ticulously checked every inch of their bodies for any remaining traces of evil.

Abaddon stared at this scene for quite a while.

He then turned his head, finding Samael standing motionless with an expressionless face, while Abraham showed no intention of speaking up either.

Seeing this, Abaddon finally lost his patience.

He poked Samael with his finger. "What are we waiting for?"

"He's completely distracted right now. Isn't this the perfect opportunity to kill them?"

But his companions remained entirely unmoved.

Thud!

Abaddon plopped down onto the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

His gaze darted back and forth between the two sides, as if saying: And you still try to argue you aren't friends!

Perhaps feeling uncomfortable under his stare, Samael turned his head with a solemn expression: "That guy hasn't put up a single defense against us."

Hearing this, Abaddon spread his hands in confusion.

"Idiot, the last ti it was exactly this guy who set up traps near the evil idol, which ultimately led to our mission failing!" Samael gritted his teeth.

"I absolutely will not make the sa mistake twice."

Only then did Abaddon recall sothing. He slapped his forehead: "So he's the 'Barry Allen' you ntioned?"

"Hmph, exactly," Samael sneered.

"These guys' target is the ritual magic array. As long as we guard this place, nothing will go wrong. Right now, ti is on our side. The longer we drag this out, the more anxious they will beco."

He quickly and clearly analyzed the situation.

Abaddon's face lit up with realization: "Samael, that guy didn't beat you up for nothing!"

Samael: "..."

"If you don't know how to complint soone, you can keep your mouth shut."

On the other side.

Seeing that the enemy wasn't making a move, William felt slightly surprised inwardly.

He glanced at the ground not far away.

Lying there were several high-quality holy artifacts, all minor traps he had casually set up just monts ago.

"It seems their previous experience left a deep impression on them... This makes things a bit tricky," he thought to himself.

Not long ago, upon arriving near the ritual, William had noticed that these three Church mbers were in danger.

Therefore, he left Haggai behind to finish the necessary arrangents while he stepped forward to save them first.

Fortunately, he made it in ti.

"Innocent! Calvin!"

At this ti, an anxious voice rang out from behind.

William turned around and saw a white-robed nun running toward them, a golden cross embroidered on her chest.

She had short brown hair and striking, three-dinsional facial features that were hard to forget after just one glance.

"Are you hurt?" Sid knelt on the ground, checking the trio's condition.

But she quickly realized that her companions were neither injured nor showing any signs of waking up.

"What happened to them!" She stared at William in confusion.

Because she had been too far away, Sid wasn't clear on what had just transpired.

"Their consciousness was bewitched by so kind of evil power," William frowned slightly.

He rembered the Philadelphia Anniversary Incident; these guys had used similar thods back then.

"I have already purified the evil on them using Holy Water, but whether their consciousness can return depends on whether they can wake themselves up."

Hearing this, Sid breathed a sigh of relief: "That's good."

Saying this, she stood up and bowed slightly to William: "Thank you for your assistance. We will engrave this favor in our hearts."

Surprise flashed in William's eyes.

"She doesn't seem worried at all that her companions might not wake up. Does she already have a solution for this?"

Outwardly, however, he waved his hand: "No need to mind such things."

Subsequently, the two briefly exchanged intelligence, and William learned that this squad was indeed the Priest Order mbers Jolan had ntioned.

"My companions are on their way. Leave this place to until the three of them wake up," he stated.

Sid was sowhat surprised upon hearing this.

She curiously evaluated the man before her, internally guessing if he was a mber of a Holy Clan. Otherwise, how could he have saved Innocent and the others under a triple-layered crisis?

Yet, she had stayed in the Vatican for a long ti and had never seen this person before.

Nevertheless, Sid nodded: "No problem. Once they wake up and show no abnormalities, we will imdiately return to provide backup."

As a subordinate of Jolan, she naturally wouldn't engage in aningless delays.

William nodded and imdiately walked toward the ritual magic array.

"Be careful!"

Sid's voice echoed from behind him.

William stopped about ten ters away from the magic array. The Holy Light barrier surrounding his body emitted a faint glow, and three circles of golden patterns manifested in his eyes.

"The ritual magic array itself has very strong defenses. Breaking it head-on requires massive power, at least at Jolan's level..."

"The arrangent of the spirit particle runes is also highly complex, but judging by the intensity of the colors, there seem to be weak points. However..."

William narrowed his eyes.

There were indeed flaws in the outer barrier of the ritual, but standing right there were four mbers of the Wings of Vengeance.

In this case, to break the barrier, he would have to defeat these heretics first, and the barrier itself provided them with shelter.

"This really is a bit thorny..." William rubbed his chin. "Gentlen..."

He was interrupted the mont he opened his mouth.

"Trying to play tricks again?" Samael snorted coldly.

William's outstretched hand froze in mid-air. He smoothly transitioned into scratching his eyebrow: "I don't understand what Your Excellency ans."

"Still trying to lie." Two dark green long snakes instantly erged from Samael's body, glaring ferociously at him.

"Let guess... you aren't trying to use so 'fair competition' excuse to bait us into fighting you one by one, are you?"

William turned his head with an unnatural expression: "Haha... you truly have a rich imagination. Who would believe an excuse like that?"

"Hmph, since you are clear on this, then you can save yourself the trouble of proposing reasons like 'let's move to a more spacious place,'" Samael continued.

William gulped, swallowing the words he had prepared.

"Look at you... I haven't even said anything yet. Why are you so sensitive," he said, taking two steps forward.

"After all, we can be considered acquaintan—"

"Stop!" Samael shouted at William again. "Are you holding sothing in your hand?"

"N-nothing."

"Hmph, you wouldn't happen to be trying to distract us with conversation so you can seize the opportunity to throw Holy Water for a sneak attack?"

"How could that be... only you guys would do sothing so despicable."

"Hmph, that's hard to say, unless you show us your hands."

"We don't even have this basic level of trust between us?"

"The Church has never held any trust for wicked people. The sa applies to you."

Samael narrowed his eyes, and a powerful energy fluctuation erged around him: "Don't tell I actually hit the mark."

William had no choice but to bring his right hand out from behind his back.

Upon seeing the transparent glass bottle, Samael imdiately crossed his arms over his chest, wearing an "I knew it" expression.

Ahem... William inconspicuously slipped the Holy Water into his pocket.

"You know, as a devout Holy Clergy mber, carrying holy artifacts around for prayer is a very normal thing."

"Stop wasting your breath." Samael remained entirely unmoved.

"If you obediently stay where you are, I can promise to settle the score after the ritual is completed. That way, you get to eke out an existence for a bit longer."

He then snorted coldly again: "As for your other tricks, you better not count on us falling for them."

Hearing this, William shrugged: "My apologies, I truly didn't realize that trap from last ti would leave such severe trauma on you."

Samael t this with a freezing glare.

"However," William changed the subject.

"The so-called traps were only ant to save so effort. Since they are useless against you, I do happen to know a bit of hand-to-hand combat."

"Are you sure you want to fight us all alone?" Abaddon asked in surprise.

"Don't listen to his nonsense," Samael interjected. "Whether it's one or two, our only responsibility is to block attacks. Ignore everything else."

With that said, a massive amount of dark green liquid suddenly began oozing from his body.

Imdiately after, his skin grew dull and rough, and his entire person instantly grew much taller.

Thwip... Thwip...

Two giant fleshy wings tore out from Samael's back, and a layer of scaled armor covered his face.

"Is this Casting..." William stared at this bizarre posture.

He didn't expect the other party to go all out right from the start.

"Co, no matter what thods you possess, I will block them all," Samael spoke. At this mont, his voice overlapped with the voice of another entity.

William imdiately raised his hand.

Opposite him, Samael and Abaddon instantly raised their vigilance to the absolute maximum.

Subsequently, the two noticed that a portion of the legion of the dead nearby had suddenly stopped moving.

Before long, they turned around one after another and charged toward the ritual magic array.

Samael looked back at Beelzebub inside the barrier, but the latter was currently wearing a strained expression.

"Lost control."

A mont later, Beelzebub squeezed out these two words.

"Tch, did he still manage to pull it off?" Samael snorted coldly, refocusing his attention forward.

By now, over a dozen dead remains had already closed in.

The yellowish-brown sli emitted white steam, corroding the ground along the way.

These were the very thods they had used against the Church, but now they were being used against themselves.

Sizzle... Sizzle...

The two different colored liquids rged together, ultimately dissolving each other.

Samael looked to the side; that damn guy was charging straight toward Abaddon.

"You picked the wrong opponent." Abaddon raised his fist with a muffled voice.

William nimbly sidestepped to dodge the frontal assault, then swiftly moved behind the hulking giant.

Splash... Splash...

Accompanied by the sound of shattering glass, Holy Water flowed over several of Abaddon's crucial joints.

Sizzle... Sizzle...

A scorched sll instantly arose from those areas, but the latter's movents were completely unaffected.

"You really are despicable," Abaddon said, throwing a heavy elbow strike backward.

"I'll take that as a complint." William responded, activating his [Divine Eye Seal].

Suddenly, Abaddon felt as if his body was subrged in thick glue, his movents growing incredibly sluggish.

"What is this thing!" he struggled forcefully.

But William had already arrived right in front of him.

"Maybe washing your face will help you see clearly." He smashed two bottles of Holy Water right into Abaddon's eyes.

"Ugh!"

The hulking giant clamped his eyes shut, letting out a pained groan.

After succeeding, William didn't linger. He imdiately widened the distance between them.

Opposite him.

Samael had already completely dissolved the dead remains.

After pounding the ground a few tis, Abaddon also got back up. He raised his head; his eyes had obvious burn marks, but they were recovering at an extrely fast rate.

"I will crush your flesh with my own hands!" he growled viciously.

At this ti, footsteps sounded from the forest nearby. It turned out to be Kalvis, Lorcy, and the others hurrying over.

"Hey, you ran pretty fast. Where is Haggai?" Kalvis stared at William.

"This idiot... is he doing this on purpose?" William frowned.

Sure enough, seeing that he wasn't alone, Abraham imdiately began scanning the vicinity.

Lorcy took over the conversation: "Lord Kalvis, this operation is under Lord Parolin's command."

Reminded of his own elder, Kalvis finally extinguished his other ulterior motives and could only say stiffly, "My apologies, I was rely concerned."

Then he changed the subject: "Then, Sir Leader, what do you need us to do?"

William sighed inwardly.

If he could help it, he really didn't want to cooperate with this kind of teammate. The enemy was literally in their faces, yet this guy was still trying to find opportunities to trip him up.

But to stop the ritual right now, he couldn't afford a falling out.

However, William secretly decided to stay far away from these two once the fighting started.

With this in mind, he said, "To stop the ritual, we must destroy the barrier in front of us..."

He shared his discoveries regarding the barrier's weak points.

"That green guy uses the power of Casting and is the main initiator of attacks..."

"That hulking giant is weak in speed, but his strength is formidable, and he possesses remarkable regenerative abilities."

"The guy with glasses can use the Evil Spirit's power to launch consciousness interference and must be heavily guarded against."

"The guy furthest in the back hasn't moved, but I surmise the entire battlefield's legion of the dead is controlled by him. However, the control power allocated to each individual soldier is limited..."

In just a few sentences, the newcors clearly understood the current situation.

Lorcy, Kalvis, and the others were extrely astonished inwardly. They didn't expect William to have figured out the situation here so thoroughly.

In comparison, the mbers of the Holy Clans paled significantly.

And Abraham inside the barrier also frowned.

He didn't expect that in just a brief exchange, that person could perceive all of this.

"Did I expose it when I turned my head back then... Careless," he recalled the scene of looking at Beelzebub when the dead soldiers first lost control.

The priest in front of him must have discovered the anomaly at that very mont.

Bettis took out a holy relic: "Everyone, judging by how the evil aura is condensing, the opportunities we have to strike might be limited."

William sensed the unique aura emanating from the object, guessing it must be a powerful Pioneer's holy relic.

"It really is easier working with smart people," he nodded secretly.

Afterward, the group quickly assigned tasks.

Bettis and Kalvis would deal with Abaddon, while Lorcy would defend against Abraham's ntal attacks.

Because Caroline and Hugh were not very strong in theology, they were responsible for clearing out the gathering dead soldiers.

And William took charge of stalling Samael.

Only at this mont did this heir of the dici family realize his own insignificance.

Every Holy Clergy mber present was more useful than him, especially William, whom he had despised in the beginning.

Those core Holy Clan mbers who were usually completely out of reach in Hugh's mind now had to obey Father William's commands.

This brought a massive shock to his heart.

And the struggle for survival along the way also made him understand why William was taking on the role of leader.

"Looking at it this way... Lord Jolan really did take care of us siblings," Hugh smiled bitterly to himself.

If it weren't for the attack by the Wings of Vengeance, their trip into the Land of the Holy War would have definitely earned them plenty of rit. No!

More accurately, it would have been picking up free rit for doing nothing!

"Forget it, now is not the ti to think about this. When this trip is over, I'll figure out a way to build a good relationship with him..." Hugh thought inwardly.

Following this, under the group's coordination and the power of strong holy relics, the mbers of the Wings of Vengeance could no longer maintain their previous calm. They had to focus their attention on cracking the Church side's attacks.

And the re-joining of Innocent's squad from the Priest Order beca the final weight that tipped the scales.

At this ti, Haggai erged from a patch of grass.

"Hey! Finished setting up!" He tossed an amulet toward William.

The latter caught it steadily.

"Right on ti." William smiled slightly.

Subsequently, he injected Holy Power into it, and imdiately after, the nearby ground trembled violently.

The people engaged in battle were all forced to stop.

Lorcy narrowed her eyes: "A Reversal Magic Array... at this scale, exactly how many high-quality holy relics were used."

Seven dazzling pillars of light erupted from different locations into the sky, perfectly enclosing the ritual magic array within.

Subsequently, crystalline energy radiated between the pillars of light, connecting together to form a barrier, completely sealing off the nearby space.

This was a powerful magic array William had constructed using seven hundred-year vintage holy artifacts. He did not intend to leave the enemy any chances.

Therefore, without any superfluous words, he activated the Reversal Magic Array.

Hum!

The evil aura inside the barrier spun frantically, quickly forming a giant black vortex.

And at its core, the spirit particle runes were slowly turning from black to white.

Excitent flowed in the eyes of the Church's side.

But as William looked opposite them, the four from the Wings of Vengeance showed not the slightest hint of panic.

He imdiately narrowed his eyes: "What is the source of these people's confidence..."

At this mont, the Reversal Magic Array was already operating, and backed by the power of hundred-year vintage holy relics, even if that woman nad Sariel ca, she would find it hard to stop it.

But the more this was the case, the more uneasy William felt.

Suddenly, the operation of the Reversal Magic Array slowed down, and an unknown figure appeared in mid-air.

That person wore a pristine white Church robe, but in his hand, he held the severed head of a nun.

Drip... Drip...

Fresh red blood splattered onto the ground.
