William asked curiously: "Can't holy artifacts be used for purification?"

Flora smiled awkwardly: "Sorry, I don't have manifestation in this aspect, so..."

She hurriedly took out a long key.

"Father Ivor Carter of the Exorcism Workshop might be able to answer, depending on whether you are free."

"By the way, I heard that Holy Clergy mbers participating in source purification can apply for more evil materials."

Flora blinked, as if whispering.

"After all, practicing Holy Power is not easy."

Since she put it this way, William had no reason to refuse.

He took the key imdiately and walked towards the door.

"First floor on the west side of Dei Church; you will see a conspicuous flag there."

Flora waved from behind.

West side of the Church.

"Conspicuous flag, huh..."

The corner of William's mouth twitched as he glanced at a small flag hanging on the wall.

It had a black background and was printed with a red-faced, long-horned demon.

"This thing can actually appear in the Church."

At this ti, besides him, many seminary students gathered at the door.

One of the young priests knocked "hard" on the door.

"Fa! Ther! Car! Ter!"

His face was flushed, and his hair was a bit ssy; he seed to have been waiting here for quite so ti.

"Maybe he went out." Soone whispered.

"Impossible; he hasn't left the church for three months..."

Listening to these discussions, William guessed the character of this "Colleague."

After quite a while, the wooden door of the Exorcism Workshop opened.

Then passionate heavy tal music ca from inside.

Imdiately after, a black priest walked out, shaking his head to the rhythm.

This priest looked over fifty years old, but his body was very sturdy.

He also had a thin layer of gray beard on his chin.

"Hey! Young people, did you feel death today!" Ivor Carter greeted with an exaggerated pose.

William was stunned on the spot.

With such improper behavior, won't he really be convicted by the Church?

"Father Carter, I... Father Carter, please turn down the music!" The priest who banged on the door at the beginning shouted.

A mont later, peace returned to the door.

"What do you want." Without music, Ivor imdiately looked listless.

Hearing the inquiry, the crowd instantly beca lively.

"Father Carter, we are here to collect today's materials."

"Yesterday I just accepted an 'Erosion' rated commission; I need to improve my Holy Power before going."

"My practice on 'Bones' has stagnated for three months; this must be because I haven't accumulated enough Holy Power."

These students scrambled to speak, completely surrounding Ivor.

"Stop!"

The latter covered his ears and shouted.

Then the crowd quieted down as expected.

"Don't you guys know the danger of evil remains!"

Ivor scanned the surroundings.

"Every ti students with 'Eyes' manifestation appear, they are taken away; not even an intern is left for ."

"It takes two whole days to process a set of remains, controlling the evil within the range that can be absorbed."

"You only know how to reach out and ask; do you plan to let be completely polluted by evil!"

The surrounding seminary students lowered their heads one after another.

This priest in front of them could complain, but they couldn't refute.

William rubbed his chin.

"It seems this is not a good job; no wonder this priest can be so willful." He thought secretly.

Otherwise, if placed elsewhere, Father Ivor should have been arrested long ago.

At this ti, Ivor also discovered William's figure.

Seeing his young face but not crowding around like other students, the forr beca curious.

"Hey! You."

Ivor beckoned.

"One of the only two portions of materials today goes to you."

As soon as this remark ca out, William instantly felt many gazes.

Envy, speculation, and jealousy.

This situation was not Ivor's fault.

Purifying evil remains was both dangerous and ti-consuming.

Although he spent every day in the Exorcism Workshop, the output of source materials was also very limited.

Far from eting the huge demand of the seminary.

Therefore, if these students ca slightly late, they would get nothing.

"Brother Priest, I wonder which teacher you follow. I am a student of Teacher Faya; recently I have to help her..."

"I just made a two-year vintage holy artifact recently; I can sell it to you at a loss..."

"Brother Priest, the Lord teaches us to observe etiquette; you ca late..."

These students surged towards William imdiately.

"Thank you for your kindness; better let those who need it more have it." William said with a smile.

In the next second, the air was briefly quiet for a mont.

Everyone looked at William curiously, thinking maybe there was sothing wrong with this person's brain.

But since soone was willing to yield, they certainly wouldn't refuse.

So the group of students surrounded Ivor again.

The latter pushed through the crowd and walked up to William.

"You... aren't possessed by a demon, are you?"

Ivor walked around William.

"Or new here? Don't worry, Dei Seminary prohibits any form of snatching; violators will be expelled."

Knowing the other party misunderstood, William said: "I was asked by Flora to co here to help you purify the remains."

Ivor jumped up imdiately upon hearing this.

"You are that new Guest Professor!"

The news that a professor ca to Dei Seminary had spread in the past two days.

It was said that the other party was very young and made significant contributions to the morial Day incident, so he was personally invited by Archbishop Borja.

A group of seminary students all looked envious.

They were all peers, but this one was far ahead of them.

Ivor also found it hard to contain his excitent.

"After so many years, the academy still cares about an old man like ."

He imdiately threw out the two portions of materials, then took William into the Exorcism Workshop.

Bang!

The thick wooden door closed heavily, shaking off a lot of dust.

William raised an eyebrow.

Inside was built with stone bricks, each engraved with Church runes.

And behind the door was only a small space, connected to a long and narrow passage.

Besides, so kind of magic array was also drawn on the door; William felt a powerful force on it.

But this priest was more concerning.

Ivor blocked the door, staring at William all the ti, making the latter grip the crucifix in his pocket.

"Father Ivor, you... what's wrong?" William asked tentatively.

"Oh! Nothing, just afraid you... afraid those evil remains might leak."

Ivor almost let it slip.

"So the door must be closed tightly."

William nodded thoughtfully.

"Are the evil remains only sealed?"

He recalled that when he perford exorcisms, he dissolved the opponent completely every ti.

"Only a part; however, the evil thoughts inside have been expelled."

Talking about work, Ivor finally behaved like a normal person.

"Only in this way can the remaining power be purified."

"Speaking of this." William asked his previous question again, "Why can't holy artifacts be used for purification?"

Ivor smiled upon hearing this.

"Man! If you really do that, it would be terrible!"

He gestured in the air.

"Purification... no, should say 'improving the purity of evil remains' is delicate work."

"This requires accurately capturing the evil aura, and then stripping them from the source power through Holy Power..."

Listening to Ivor's description, William roughly understood the purification process.

Simply put, this was like doing a chemical experint, needing to separate two liquids mixed together.

Only on a more microscopic level.

And using holy artifacts would dissolve the source power inside as well.

"Co, young man." Ivor beckoned. "Let demonstrate for you once."

He walked deep into the passage, and William followed behind.

After passing through several doors engraved with sealing arrays, the two ca to a wide circular space.

This was built underground.

And a holy statue of Jesus hung from the do, seemingly overlooking this room.

There were many rows of wooden racks around, with a ceramic jar on each shelf, sowhat similar to the basent William saw in the West District Church.

At the sa ti, he also noticed that the entire floor was a huge magic array.

"It seems the protection here is very rigorous." William thought secretly.

Ivor took him to a workbench.

Then he put on gloves and took out a charred limb from a clay pot, origin unknown.

"Observe with your [Holy Eye]." Ivor said.

Without needing a reminder, William had already used his ability as soon as he entered the Exorcism Workshop.

In his perspective, this limb was lingering with dark green evil aura; it seed its owner was not weak when alive.

"See those transparent fluid-like things?"

Ivor gestured with his hand.

"Those are evil auras, very difficult to capture and extrely corrosive."

William raised an eyebrow upon hearing this.

"Transparent?"

He looked at the limb again; the dark green aura was almost substantial, making it hard to ignore.

William remained silent, burying this doubt in his heart.

"What we have to do is inject Holy Power into the pupils, then project it onto these auras to assimilate them completely."

A wave of energy suddenly erged from Ivor's eyes.

Imdiately after, a layer of golden circular patterns appeared on the outer ring of the pupils.

There were so golden patterns on the outer layer, but they hadn't fully ford yet.

A strange color flashed in William's eyes.

On Ivor, he indeed felt power similar to his [Holy Eye].

But William didn't have those patterns.

Next, Ivor demonstrated how to purify the evil aura.

So Holy Power was projected from his gaze, and then a small part of that limb changed.

Slight energy collisions occurred in the air, undetectable by ordinary people.

But Ivor's purification did not go smoothly.

The evil on it was very active, swallowing his Holy Power clean in the blink of an eye.

Ivor had to project more Holy Power again.

During the tug-of-war, sweat had soaked his robe.

He constantly picked up the Holy Water on the table and poured it into his mouth to maintain the Holy Power flow.

After dozens of minutes, Ivor finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Done." He smiled and placed the remains on the table.

William was stunned slightly.

He looked at the limb; the dark green evil aura on it was still dense.

But after careful observation, there was indeed a small part different from the rest.

That place was about the size of a fingernail, and the aura on it was very pure.

What surprised William even more was that there seed to be a trace of special power there.

Very similar to the "Unknowable Space" he felt at the awakening ceremony site.

"Is this source power?" He pondered secretly.

It indeed had an essential difference from other Holy Power.

If such power was released during exorcism, its might would also be several tis stronger.

But William raised his head.

Ivor looked a little tired at this ti, but he still raised his chin, looking like he was waiting for praise.

William hesitated repeatedly, but still asked the doubt in his heart:

"Just... this little bit?"
