Another blast of hot magma erupted from the seafloor, briefly illuminating the pitch-black ocean. Ailan instinctively turned her head to look, locking eyes with the colossal creature in the sea, her body uncontrollably trembling.
The Ancient God had only its upper body free, its lower half still buried in the seabed. It stared at Xu Yi and Ailan but did not make a move.
It wasn't because it was overly prideful, thinking Xu Yi was undoubtedly dood, or considering Ailan an insignificant bug.
It didn't act because it couldn't; it was extrely weak at the mont.

The demonized Black Carp roared repeatedly, carrying Lisa on its back, making several attempts to dive into the sea to rescue Xu Yi, but was repelled each ti by the swarming Dark Creatures.

Lisa's eyes instantly reddened.
She and Maria had never gotten along over the years, but now, sensing the imminent dissipation of the other, her heart ached inexplicably.
She wanted to say sothing to Maria, but the situation didn't allow it. The Dark Creatures, montarily pushed back by the flas, surged forward again.
Maria handed over the unconscious Xu Yi to Lisa, then turned with Ailan and plunged toward the Dark Creatures, attempting to create a path of escape for Lisa.
The semi-translucent soul flas dimd, and the bodies of Maria and Ailan beca increasingly ethereal. They were at their limit and were quickly engulfed by the Dark Creatures.
