627. Deadpool 3.

Potala Palace.

Alex and Petra stood atop the mountain, looking down at the snow-covered world below. Their hearts were filled with conflicting emotions.

Fingering the Ti Resetter in his hand, Alex called out to Miss Minutes in his mind.

"Miss, how's the data transfer going?"

[It's complete, my lord. In addition, I've already located the world closest to this tiline. If you wish, we can leave at any mont.]

Miss Minutes replied swiftly, her tone as cheerful as ever, as if the sudden appearance of the TVA hadn't affected her in the slightest.

Alex gave a faint nod, feeling sowhat relieved.

Then he opened the trigger on the Ti Resetter, gazing at the swirling energy within the glass casing.

"My lord, are you planning to activate the Ti Resetter and erase this world?" Petra noticed Alex's actions and asked.

"Yes," Alex replied calmly. "The TVA has already locked onto this place and left behind a Ti Resetter. If this tiline isn't pruned, they'll eventually notice sothing's wrong."

"But if that's the case, my lord, wouldn't you get a chance to et them face to face? Maybe we could deal with them directly and extract so useful intel from within the TVA." Petra couldn't help but speak up.

But Alex gently shook his head.

"That's a last resort. The TVA's existence is extrely peculiar—they possess absolute control over tilines. Unless it's absolutely necessary, I don't want a direct confrontation. Besides, don't those people have body cams?"

"You an… we should operate in the shadows?" Petra responded quickly.

"Exactly. Our current advantage is remaining hidden. Even if the TVA monitors all tilines, as a fellow ti lord, their ti controllers can't detect my presence."

This was sothing Alex had discovered long ago.

Perhaps it was because he was too unique, or maybe it was because he held dominion over a tiline himself.

But whatever the reason, Alex understood that any changes he made to a tiline were considered 'legitimate.' In other words, he would never be classified as a ti criminal, and even if he altered history, it wouldn't cause a ti branch.

That ant: across the entire multiverse—even the entirety of existence—there was only one version of him. No variants would ever erge.

Using this, as long as he was cautious, it would be absolutely impossible for the TVA to detect him. This was Alex's only remaining advantage.

"My lord, do you have any theories about that Ti Variance Authority?" Petra suddenly asked.

"To be honest, I'm not sure. This TVA is very different from the one I rember—I can't even figure out what sort of administrative structure they're using now," Alex answered truthfully.

In his mory, the TVA had been created by He Who Remains—a self-contained, infinite loop, and the TVA itself was part of that loop.

But when Loki stepped in and chose to replace He Who Remains, that cycle was broken.

Without Kang's control, the TVA beca a fully autonomous organization. They no longer pruned ti branches at will, nor randomly arrested tiline offenders. Instead, they maintained the World Tree of the multiverse like diligent worker ants.

All of Alex's mories stopped at that point. He couldn't judge what kind of organization the TVA had beco now, nor did he understand why their enforcers had suddenly appeared in this world. However, Alex hadn't co away empty-handed.

He had already figured out quite a bit about this world—and also why the TVA had suddenly shown up to arrest Deadpool.

If his guess was correct, this had to be the opening setup for Deadpool 3.

Tied to the Marvel Universe's TVA, yet still within 20th Century Fox's X-n universe, and capable of cross-universe caos and fourth-wall breaks—Deadpool was absolutely a one-of-a-kind anomaly.

"My lord, what should we do now?" Petra tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and asked softly.

"Find Deadpool."

Alex suddenly turned, his expression serious.

"But Deadpool has already been taken by the TVA. Without knowing where the TVA is, how can we find him?" Petra frowned slightly.

"I'm not talking about your universe's Deadpool."

Alex crossed his arms, a skeptical look appearing on his face.

"I'm fairly certain that the Deadpool the TVA is looking for isn't the one from your universe. But the fact that they still showed up here ans they haven't found that special Wade Wilson yet."

"A special Deadpool?" Petra still didn't quite understand.

Alex pressed his lips together and explained, "It's hard to explain this to you. Just think of it like this—there's a strange and powerful energy within that particular Deadpool. It gives him the ability to do things that should be impossible."

In truth, within the Marvel Universe, every Deadpool was a unique existence. They were like the Spider-n of the multiverse—each one faintly connected to the others, sharing similar quirks, interests, and insanity.

And the 'special' Deadpool Alex referred to was none other than the Wade Wilson—the main character of the Deadpool movie series.

Since it had already beco clear that the events here were leading into Deadpool 3, Alex naturally didn't believe the movie's protagonist would suddenly be replaced by so other variant of Deadpool. Which ant that the Deadpool the TVA was searching for had to be the one from the movie universe.

The only question was—what was that Deadpool doing right now?

Earth-TRN678 (41633)

Sowhere within a tiline that was both peaceful and chaotic…

Inside the locker room of a car wash, two n were sitting together. One was a chubby middle-aged guy with a perfectly grood mustache.

The other had a face covered in burn scars—looking like the unholy union of a Shar Pei and a kiwi fruit.

"Wade."

The mustached man called out, noticing the other man was zoning out. He bumped Wade lightly with his shoulder and continued.

"Wade, I'm talking to you."

"Huh? What?"

Wade suddenly snapped out of it and turned to look at the man beside him.

"What is it, Peter? What's going on?"

Seeing that reaction, Peter couldn't help but pat Wade's shoulder.

"I've been watching you. You've been staring at your suit again. It used to be three tis a day. Now it's up to twenty."

"Really?" Wade averted his eyes from the Deadpool suit hanging inside his locker. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm retired."

"Co on, Wade. You should know by now—your life isn't like ours. You're ant to walk a different path. To seek out the real aning of your existence—"

Before Peter could finish his heartfelt speech, Wade cut him off.

"Okay, stop—just stop. Do you have any idea how cringe that sounds right now? This isn't so cheap knockoff indie flick. Save the soul-searching monologue for later, man. I already feel like crap."

As one of Deadpool's closest friends, Peter was used to Wade saying weird, out-of-context things that made no sense. By now, nothing surprised him anymore.

"Is this about Vanessa breaking up with you?" Peter blinked.

When Peter brought it up, Wade's eyes began blinking rapidly, betraying a flicker of panic—though he quickly regained his composure.

"No, Peter. Quite the opposite, actually. I think I've finally found inner peace. This is my life now—not all that killing and chaos."

"Inner peace, got it?"

"You don't exactly look peaceful," Peter replied innocently.

"Bullcrap. I'm the picture of serenity right now. Don't believe ? Fire a damn cannon at —I'll catch the shell with Zen-like calm and chuck it right back at you!"

Wade paused, muttering to himself again.

"Oh, poor Po... The fourth movie bombed that hard? Ugh, pathetic. Thankfully I'm in a trilogy, so that nonsense shouldn't affect ."

"Wade," Peter said, his tone softening. "Whatever you decide to do—whatever your plan is—I'll support it. You know that, right? We're best friends."

As he spoke, Peter crossed his arms into an X over his chest like the Wakandan salute and declared proudly: "We're the X-Force!"

Wade glanced at Peter's cheerful, goofy grin and looked away briefly. But soon a smile tugged at his lips and he nodded halfheartedly. "Yeah. X-Force. You've always been my favorite big teddy bear on the team."

"Hehehe." Peter chuckled, scratching his head. Then he added, "Ti's up, Wade. Shift's over."

Wade nodded silently. He stood, peeled off his work uniform, and slipped into a plain set of casual clothes.

He straightened out the wrinkles in his shirt, then glanced back up—his gaze once again landing on the red Deadpool suit hanging inside his locker.

As he stared at it, images flashed across his mind—monts that flitted by like smoke in the wind. The mories stirred sothing heavy in his chest.

Suddenly, a tuft of yellow hair popped into view, breaking his trance.

Wade turned and saw Peter grinning goofily.

"The wig, Wade. Don't forget. Didn't you say 'change starts at the top'? This thing's your key to a brand new life."

"Of course," Wade replied with a small smile, taking the wig from Peter's hand.

As Wade adjusted the wig on his head, out on the street just outside…

A stern-faced man leaned casually against a wall. Even from a block away, his sharp gaze kept drifting toward the car wash where Wade had been, as if observing sothing—or soone.

Monts later, the plump figure of Peter erged from the building, walking beside a man wearing a bright yellow wig.

The man's lazy eyes sharpened instantly.

He slowly raised his hand, revealing a small cara.

As his finger twitched and focused the lens, the two n—Peter and Wade, now off the clock—appeared clearly in the fra.

In the upper-right corner of the cara, the orange insignia of the TVA shimred eerily under the sunlight.
