590. The Kryptonian’s Overwhelming Presence!

The parademons, as biological weapons, had been modified on Apokolips, granting them an incredibly sharp perception of life forms. Not only could they sense the fear of their prey, but if they detected the presence of a powerful force, they would imdiately issue a warning and launch suicide attacks to protect their creators.

However, the parademons weren't the first to notice the approaching presence.

On the ground, after barely deflecting Black Adam's attack, the Steppenwolf struck him with a punch, sending him flying.

Just as the Steppenwolf was about to pursue and continue his assault, his expression suddenly changed, and his movents ca to an abrupt halt. His raised fist froze in place.

"Impossible."

The Steppenwolf's eyes sharply turned to the horizon, his voice trembling as he muttered, seemingly seeing sothing terrifying.

The sudden pause in his attack caused Hippolyta to halt her own assault. She vigilantly observed the Steppenwolf, fearing it might be so kind of trick.

It wasn't just the Steppenwolf—beside him, Shazam and Black Adam, who had just pulled himself out of a crater, also raised their heads and looked towards the edge of the skyline.

"What's going on?" Hippolyta asked, her pupils flickering as she couldn't help but glance at Shazam.

Shazam furrowed his brow and spoke uncertainly. "Sothing is rapidly approaching us. Its combat power... could be..."

Before Shazam could finish, a figure abruptly appeared in the sky above, and no one knew exactly when she had arrived.

The next mont, a roar filled with extre anger and murderous intent exploded, like thunder from the heavens, ripping through the air:"Die!!!"

Before anyone on the battlefield could react, a terrifying shockwave descended from the sky, visible to the naked eye, sweeping across the area. The explosive hurricane caused the parademons in the air to tumble.

In an instant, everyone felt the imnse presence approaching, and all movents on the battlefield ca to a halt. Everyone stared, shocked, at the unfamiliar figure in the sky.

With black short hair that radiated heroism, and an "S" on her chest marking her family's emblem, Kara's eyes were filled with barely contained murderous intent. Hovering in the air, her cold gaze swept across the battlefield with a hint of savagery.

Under her gaze, everyone who caught her eye instinctively averted their gaze, unwilling to et her eyes.

The once chaotic battlefield suddenly fell silent. The terrifying pressure and presence spread like a cold wave, freezing everyone in place.

Swallowing hard, the Steppenwolf couldn't help but take a step back.

If there was any race in this universe that could stand toe-to-toe with the new gods of Apokolips, it was the Kryptonians.

The Steppenwolf had fought Kryptonians before, and that ti, he had almost died. So, even though the person in the sky seed like a re young girl, the Steppenwolf didn't underestimate her in the slightest. In fact, he felt an urge to flee the area imdiately.

As soon as the Steppenwolf moved, Kara's gaze shot towards him, locking onto his face.

He froze mid-step. He knew very well that this person before him was no ordinary foe, and in so ways, she seed even stronger than any Kryptonian he had encountered before.

"Are you the leader of these parademons?" Kara squinted her eyes. Her voice wasn't loud, but it was clear enough for everyone on the battlefield to hear.

The Steppenwolf instinctively reached for his battle axe, only to realize that it was gone—destroyed by that human.

Kara's voice rang out again.

"Where's Batman?"

At this question, the heroes on the battlefield let out a quiet sigh of relief.

They had thought this terrifying individual was an ally from Apokolips, but her words suggested otherwise. If she knew Batman, it was likely that she was on their side. And judging by her appearance, she seed to be part of a contingency plan Batman had prepared.

Despite this, no one dared respond to Kara's question. Hourman and the others didn't dare act hastily, while Black Adam and Shazam didn't know where Batman was either.

Just as the atmosphere beca tense and seed ready to freeze, movent suddenly erupted from the parademons.

These biological weapons had no concept of fear. After the initial shock, one of the parademons quickly reacted, raising its gun and aiming at Kara.

Although its movents were small, to the tension-filled heroes, it was extrely noticeable.

Wildcat saw that Kara, with her back to the parademons, was unaware of the enemy's sneak attack. He opened his mouth, about to warn her. But as soon as he did, he saw Kara suddenly turn around in mid-air.

The next second, a crimson heat vision, containing devastating energy, erupted from her eyes. The unstoppable destructive force instantly tore through the parademons.

The terrifying energy beam followed Kara's gaze as it moved, like a laser cutter, effortlessly slicing through the parademons, clearing a vacuum within their army in the span of a breath.

Kara's gaze swept across the battlefield, revealing a scene that felt like the apocalypse.

None of the parademons could withstand the destructive heat vision. With just a single touch, their bodies, used as weapons of war, were torn apart like paper, reduced to shattered, charred remains.

The crimson beam appeared quickly, and disappeared just as fast. By the ti the others regained their senses, dozens of parademons had already lost their lives.

Wildcat stared in shock at the terrifying scene. His voice, ant to warn, caught in his throat as his mouth hung open, unable to process what had just happened.

Once she had finished, Kara shifted her focus to the Steppenwolf. The crimson energy gathered in her eyes, as if about to burst forth any mont.

"I'll ask you one last ti."

Kara gritted her teeth, her voice cold as she spoke slowly.

"Where is Batman?"

As soon as she arrived, Kara had used her X-ray vision to scan the entire battlefield, but she hadn't seen any trace of Batman—Bruce Wayne—or even Barry Allen, the Flash.

This realization sent a chill through her heart.

Despite her fury, Kara had unleashed power greater than when she faced General Zod, but her control over her X-ray vision was still not perfect.

With her eyesight, seeing across Earth wasn't particularly difficult, but searching the entire world for Batman was another matter entirely.

At this mont, Kara was far from being able to instantly respond and rush to the source of a scream for help, as an ordinary person would.

Sensing the terrifying energy, the Steppenwolf couldn't help but silently curse. Facing Black Adam, Shazam, and the Amazonian Queen had already been difficult enough, and now with the addition of a Kryptonian, he feared that he wouldn't be able to leave this place alive.

However, at the sa ti, the Steppenwolf was also deeply enraged. He was certain that there was no trace of Kryptonians on Earth. He had verified this result multiple tis.

It couldn't be that this Kryptonian had flown in from another planet either. After discovering that the Green Lantern existed on Earth, the Steppenwolf had prepared himself to face the Green Lantern Corps.

He had set up a dedicated Apokoliptian signal transmitter outside Earth, so that once an unfamiliar presence neared, the transmitter would imdiately alert him.

Given this situation, the Steppenwolf couldn't understand where this Kryptonian had co from.

Seeing that the Steppenwolf still wasn't reacting, Kara's patience was exhausted. She furrowed her brows and was ready to let this creature experience her wrath.

Just then, an elderly voice echoed.

"I know where Batman is."

Everyone turned to look, and saw Doctor Fate floating unsteadily, hovering about a hundred ters away from Kara.

Kara shifted her gaze. She had never seen Doctor Fate before, or any of the others present, but that didn't stop her from making a quick judgnt. After all, they were engaged in battle with the parademons.

No matter who these people were, if they were fighting the parademons, they were on her side.

Kara didn't speak but quietly observed Doctor Fate, the crimson energy swirling in her eyes slowly fading.

Seeing her reaction, Doctor Fate didn't hesitate and imdiately spoke.

"The Steppenwolf has set up an outpost on Earth, in the Arctic. Batman is there."

The Arctic.

Kara frowned slightly, then without another word, she tilted her head. The terrifying heat vision instantly erupted, heading straight for the Steppenwolf's head.

No one expected Kara to suddenly act. The Steppenwolf only managed to raise his hands, and the next mont, he was blasted to the ground by imnse force, creating a massive crater in the earth.

Having injured the Steppenwolf with one strike, Kara had no intention of staying here.

With both hands raised, she made no unnecessary movents, and then with a burst of energy, Kara transford into a blur, disappearing into the sky.

A sonic boom followed, accompanied by the hurricane-like gust of wind.

The others watched Kara leave, and in less than a minute, it felt like a dream, as if it had all happened in the blink of an eye.

Just as everyone's gaze was fixed on the direction Kara had disappeared, a dark blue portal suddenly appeared above the Steppenwolf's head.

Upon noticing this, Black Adam and Shazam imdiately reacted. This guy was trying to escape while everyone was distracted.

"It's too late!"

The Steppenwolf gritted through the pain of his scorched arms and looked up at the rapidly tearing sound wave portal above. A sinister smile spread across his face.

Having taken a direct hit from the heat vision, the Steppenwolf knew he had no chance of resisting anymore, but fortunately, everyone's attention was drawn elsewhere.

Earlier, that Kryptonian had been present, and he hadn't dared to open the boom tube portal. He knew that if he made any move to escape, the Kryptonian would choose to kill him first.

But now, although he didn't know why, the Kryptonian had left, and with the attention of those two Old Gods' successors diverted, he had found an opportunity.

However, just as he was grinning and preparing to escape through the portal, he watched in horror as the boom tube slowly began to close.

At the sa ti, a casual mocking voice rang out from not far behind him.

"I said, buddy, where do you think you're going?"
