569. The Crucial mory!

Tula, the first Aquagirl, an adopted mber of the Atlantean royal family, and a true Atlantean by blood.

In the comics, Tula is an auxiliary mber of the Teen Titans. While she mostly stays in the deep seas of Atlantis, she occasionally cos ashore to team up with the Titans.

The Tula standing before Bruce Wayne and the others was not the mature, short-haired woman from the comics but rather resembled the young girl from the "Young Justice" series.

In the original work, Tula was the first love of Aqualad, but in the Flashpoint Universe, Aquaman's parents never t, aning Aquaman never existed, so the existence of Aqualad as Aquaman's sidekick is uncertain.

For Bruce Wayne and the others, the Tula standing before them was even more enigmatic.

None of them knew anything about the current state of Atlantis. Even Alex, had he been here, would likely have been just as puzzled.

Who knows what state Atlantis would be in without Aquaman, Arthur Curry?

Bruce Wayne gently guided Tula to sit on a chair, and Kent gave a warm smile.

"Relax, Miss. My magic won't harm you. It will be like falling asleep. When you wake up, the mories you've lost will return to your mind."

Looking at Kent's smile, Tula nervously glanced at Bruce Wayne and Stephanie.

Although she wanted to recover her mories, she couldn't believe that this elderly man would succeed where even Batman had failed.

"Really? Just like that?" Stephanie exchanged glances with Tula and couldn't help but ask.

"There will certainly be so complications," Kent said, shrugging. "I need to project my mind into her consciousness and try to piece together the mories she's lost. This is no easy task, and there are risks involved."

Mind-reading and amnesia are entirely different concepts—one is about peering directly into soone's heart, while the other is about reconstructing shattered fragnts of a mind that have been buried.

The difficulty of this task is clear, and Kent had refrained from explaining this earlier to avoid making Tula more anxious.

"Risks?" As expected, Tula's face froze upon hearing Kent's words.

"Of course, there will be risks. The human mind and body are fragile. And of course, you Atlanteans are no different. If sothing goes wrong in the ntal world, it can cause great harm to the body," Kent explained.

"Isn't there a safer way?" Stephanie asked.

Hearing this, Kent smiled knowingly and turned his gaze toward the silent Bruce Wayne, leisurely saying, "Of course, there are safer ways. For example, that magical young man from two years ago—what was his na again? Right, Crow. If Bruce could bring him here, it would definitely be much safer than doing it."

"Ahem," Bruce Wayne coughed and calmly looked at Kent. "He's no longer on Earth. I can't contact him."

"Yeah, you can't contact him. You always say that," Kent chuckled. "That Crow's magic is quite strange. I've researched a lot of docunts these past two years, and I've never co across any similar magical reactions."

Bruce Wayne didn't pay attention to Kent's sarcasm and spoke plainly, "Forget about Crow. The most critical issue now is figuring out what's happened in Atlantis. Kent, begin."

Kent didn't act imdiately. He looked at Tula in front of him.

After all, he was about to enter soone's ntal world, so he needed her consent first.

Tula scanned the room before finally nodding firmly.

"Although I don't know what's happened, I feel that sothing big is going on. The mories I've lost must be crucial, so please help recover them."

"As you wish."

Kent smiled, then raised his hand, and the Helt of Fate instantly appeared in his hand.

"An archaeologist performing brain surgery—it's a bit of a stretch for , Bruce. You should've brought a magical doctor," Kent remarked.

"Don't test , Kent. Just get started," Bruce Wayne frowned.

"Alright, alright."

Kent put on the Helt of Fate, and his entire aura changed instantly.

He gently extended both hands, placing his fingertips on Tula's temples. "Tula, close your eyes and relax, like you're going to sleep."

Hearing Doctor Fate's words, Tula slowly closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and gradually relaxed her tense muscles.

Doctor Fate stood behind her, channeling his spiritual energy into Tula's consciousness.

'Here we go.'

Their minds gradually connected.

'Let see… What have you lost?'

Suddenly, everything went dark.

Doctor Fate's senses were instantly stripped away, and his control over his own body vanished. At that mont, he could no longer feel his hands or legs.

"I'm in. This should be the girl's ntal world."

Silently 'talking to himself,' Doctor Fate curiously surveyed the surrounding pitch-black environnt.

As the power of Nabu surged, Doctor Fate's 'body' slowly began to take shape in the darkness, eventually transforming into its original form.

"Next, I should…"

"Tula!!"

Before Doctor Fate could even think of his next move, a sharp shout ca from behind him.

Pausing for a mont, Doctor Fate curiously turned his head.

In an instant, the pitch-black environnt was replaced by a dimly lit underwater world.

In the distance, a grand structure built beneath the deep sea was slowly tilting, with many rocks falling due to the force of gravity.

Floating in the surrounding water were lifeless bodies, drifting aimlessly, their blood turning the sea into a deep crimson hue, creating a heavy, oppressive atmosphere.

Doctor Fate's gaze shifted to a closer location. He looked at his own pale white hands, instinctively making a fist.

"Are these my hands?"

Just as Doctor Fate was puzzled, the shout echoed again.

"Tula!"

Suddenly looking up, Doctor Fate was surprised to see a man, around 20 ters away, trapped beneath a massive stone pillar.

Before he could react, his body moved on its own, rapidly swimming toward the trapped figure. In the blink of an eye, he was right in front of him.

"Tula, don't mind , quickly run, make sure to send the ssage out, hurry!"

The man, with black hair, had his lower body crushed under the stone pillar, blood continuously leaking from the gaps, coloring the surrounding water. Clearly, he didn't have much ti left.

When Doctor Fate got closer and saw the man, he realized the man wasn't speaking. Instead, he was emitting sounds similar to dolphins and whales.

The reason Doctor Fate could hear the words was likely because Tula had received these sound waves and converted them into aningful information for him to perceive in his ntal world.

"Looks like this is the important mory Tula lost."

Doctor Fate turned his head, trying to find more clues.

The grand structure in the distance had collapsed halfway. From the current perspective, he could vaguely see two humanoid creatures fighting.

"Who is that?!"

Doctor Fate focused his mind and adjusted his viewpoint to look directly at the battlefield.

Hundreds of ters away, a man holding a black halberd was attacking a massive creature.

It was not entirely accurate to call it a "creature." The being fighting the man was a humanoid monster over two ters tall, wielding a giant axe. Every swing sent powerful shockwaves through the water.

Those who often fight underwater know that the resistance of water greatly diminishes the force of a punch. A blow might land without causing any significant harm.

This was evident even in experints with shooting underwater.

But this wasn't just any underwater setting—it was the deep sea, a place where sunlight couldn't reach. The terrifying water pressure made it even more extre.

Yet, in this hostile environnt, the two fighters showed no signs of being affected. Their movents were as fluid as if they were on land, and the surrounding environnt was completely destroyed by their battle.

"Dare to enter the territory of Orm Marius, I will ensure you, monster, will never leave!"

The man holding the black halberd roared. He charged and pushed the creature back. The two of them tumbled together, crashing through a beautiful wall painting.

Seeing the creature attempt to retaliate, Om kicked the axe out of its hands. He then raised his halberd high, aiming for the creature's chest.

However, just as the black halberd was about to pierce its chest, the tip suddenly stopped.

Om's eyes widened in surprise as he saw the creature's hands gripping the weapon's shaft, the imnse strength preventing the halberd from moving forward.

The creature then grinned malevolently.

With a surge of force, it ripped the halberd's tip off, then quickly turned and stabbed it back, the sharp blade plunging into Om's neck.

With the vital area struck, Om quickly let go of the halberd, clutching his throat as he struggled, but blood poured from the wound, and with each movent, it increased.

After completing this, the giant monster picked up its axe, not even sparing Om a glance. It raised the weapon and swung it with full force, bringing it down on the remaining structure.

A massive, silent explosion rang out in the deep sea, and terrifying water currents surged outward, sweeping everything in its path.

Doctor Fate's vision was severely impacted by the force.

Under the overwhelming power, he only saw an enormous stone being swept toward him by the rushing waters.

The next mont.

The entire world was once again swallowed by void.
