In the temporarily constructed stables of the film studio, the crew had set up caras along a track that ran from the inside along the wall to the door.

When Martin entered the set, Chad called him and three stunt actors over.

Martin constantly moved his hands and feet, readying himself for so intense action sequences.

Chad personally demonstrated and guided as he spoke, "Martin, you start by knocking down Buck here, then get entangled with Lewis, kick Trace coming at you from the front, and then take down Lewis."

He pointed to the two black horses brought over by the horse trainer, "The horses are nearby, make sure you are careful with your movents and do not hit the horses."

All four n nodded.

Chad continued, "Martin, after you knock down Lewis, tie him to the horse rope."

He also reminded the two riders, "Keep an eye on the riders, don't let the horses actually start running."

The riders responded, "No problem!"

Chad knew that Martin had been learning about directing recently and specifically asked, "Do you have any other questions?"

Martin would never let his personal matters affect the whole crew's shooting and said, "If I do, I'll ask you when you have the ti."

Chad wasn't worried about Martin stealing his job. For one, he didn't plan to leave the "John Wick" series, and on the other hand, Martin was an expert in performing action but not in shooting it.

Shooting action scenes was not any easier than those so-called artistic shots, similarly requiring outstanding directorial talent.

In Hollywood, directors who could make action films look good were actually few.

Chad yelled to clear the set, and the crew made their final preparations for the shoot.

As the clapperboard was snapped in front of the cara, the shoot officially began.

The action scenes had already been rehearsed by Martin and the stunt actors, who fought as choreographed.

Compared to the first two installnts, this third part had more action and a significant increase in close combat scenes.

The shooting process was intermittent, and a morning's filming did not even complete half of what was a re one-minute action sequence after editing.

At noon, Martin didn't eat much, feeling that the horse-riding scenes might require many takes.

Repeating the horse-riding scenes might cause nausea.

In the horse scenes, Martin personally perford mostly the galloping parts, while close-up fight scenes used a dummy horse.

Fighting a motorcycle assassin while on horseback was too dangerous.

Even with all the safety asures in place, an accident occurred during a motorcycle crash scene, resulting in a stunt rider's left ribs cracking.

In Hollywood, similar incidents were minor when filming large-scale action scenes.

It was said that before World War II, during the filming of large-scale lee battles, deaths were common, and every crew had a quota for fatalities.

Having been riding horses frequently in the past days and shooting many horse-riding scenes in the afternoon, Martin, lacking long-term riding training, felt so pain near the roots of his thighs, making his walk sowhat awkward after wrapping.

As Martin changed out of his makeup and clothes and stepped out of the makeup trailer, he sowhat resembled Scott.

Bruce pulled out a green bottle and threw it to him, "Rub so on, it'll feel better soon."

Without looking at the label on the bottle, Martin knew by its shape that it was nthol oil, and thought applying it near that area, especially where the skin was chafed, would really burn.

He tossed it back to Bruce, "You keep it."

Bruce asked, "Do you want to see a doctor?"

Martin got into the Escalade in front of him, got into the car, urged Bruce to drive quickly, and said, "Use the Vaseline you carry with you."

Bruce was surprised, "How did you know I carry Vaseline?"

Martin snorted, "Don't I know you?"

Bruce, the scoundrel, still explained, "Mainly because Kim and Khloe could co to New York at any ti..."

When Martin returned to the hotel, Blake Lively had gone to Philadelphia for an advertiser's event, but Martin wasn't without female companionship; Clara had co from Los Angeles.

As his leg was uncomfortable, Martin skipped the restaurant and simply took Clara back to the room and ordered dinner to be delivered.

Once in the room, Clara noticed Martin walking awkwardly and asked in her usual tone, "Oppa, what's wrong? Did you get hurt filming? Do you need to call a doctor?"

"It's nothing serious," Martin sat on the soft couch and said simply, "I've been riding too much these days, might have chafed my thigh a bit."

"I see," Clara's eyes flickered with a thought, "Can I have a look?"

Martin curiously asked, "Do you know dical treatnt?"

Clara, coming from the entertainnt industry in Korea, where it was practically slave-like, once contracted 'slaves' would always try to please their masters.

She placed her hand on Martin's leg, "I don't know dicine, but I have a way to help you feel better."

Martin could tell the implied ssage, "Let's hear it."

Clara suggested, "You go take a shower first, then I'll help you."

Martin went to wash up in the bathroom and soon ca out.

Clara had already flattened the sofa and spread a blanket on it, gently patting it, "Oppa, co here."

Martin, draped in a bathrobe, ca over and sat down.

Clara pushed him onto the couch, "I can't check your body like this, co up here, don't lie down, turn over."

When Martin turned over, his bathrobe was pulled off.

"I saw it, don't move," Clara went up close to get a clearer look.

Martin suddenly felt the originally burning wound beco cool, the only pain dispersed as nimbly as a snake.

Clara wasn't lying, she indeed knew her stuff.

This was definitely the best way to treat scrapes.

To this, Martin could only describe it as both gentle and moist.

Perhaps due to Dr. Clara's efforts all night, the friction burn on Martin's leg had disappeared by the ti he woke up the next morning.

Clara specifically instructed Martin, "Tonight we need to do the second treatnt, that's how we can treat it deeply."

Martin was satisfied, "et at the trailer after wrap tonight."

Clara smiled happily.

Back on set, the shooting was still predominantly action scenes, similar to the previous movies, with Martin needing to take on an entire world's worth of hit n alone.

In the artificial rain, Martin sprinted across the studio repeatedly.

By noon, he was soaked through several tis, looking rather bedraggled.

In the afternoon, the running was coupled with fighting, these action scenes, involving more hand-to-hand combat than gunfire.

Chen Hu even designed a knife-throwing action scene especially for Martin, reminiscent of a knife-throwing contest.

Martin faced off against a dozen opponents alone, and even with his agile skills, there were monts of accidental injury.

For safety, the prop knives were all made of resin imitating tal, but to ensure a realistic feel when thrown, they weren't light.

During shooting, Martin's head was hit by the prop knives at least three tis, one striking him right on the forehead, causing a large swelling.

Of course, several actors were accidentally hurt by him too, fortunately, with no serious injuries.

The set doctor was frequently on scene, exceptionally busy.

After that scene, Martin, in a blood-stained white shirt and a dirty black suit all covered in blood, with several wounds on his head, looked quite a sorry sight.

Martin sat on the steps of the set, leaning against a wooden display cabinet to rest, and beckoned Bruce over.

"Too tired to stand up?" Bruce could see how fatigued Martin was, the stunt actors could take turns, having intermittent rests, but Martin, as the lead actor, had to fight continuously, and even an iron man could hardly endure.

He asked, "Do you need to help you up?"

Martin waved his hand, "It's not that serious." He took out his phone and tossed it to Bruce, "Take a picture, try to capture looking as disheveled, exhausted, and injured as possible."

Understanding imdiately what Martin wanted to do, Bruce opened the cara on the phone, selecting different positions and angles, and took several photos of Martin in a row.

Martin got his phone back, picked two of the most pitiful looking photos, and posted them on Twitter and his newly opened Instagram with the caption: "On the set of 'John Wick 3' for less than a week, already beaten up head to toe."

The pity-seeking tweet had just been sent out when the replies ca flooding in.

It was Leonardo comnting, "I'm currently on vacation in the Caribbean, here with sunshine, beauties, and 'The Beach', enjoying myself imnsely."

Nicholson then added, "Leo you dog, Martin is too tired to even lift his head and you're flaunting beauties at him?"

Soon, Taylor Swift comnted: "Feeling sorry for Martin for ten minutes, my tour is coming to New York soon, will visit you then, hope you're not all bruised by then."

Angela Lindvall comnted, "I'm in New York, going to see you tonight with Carolina."

Carolina quickly also left a ssage, "Hope our visit won't exacerbate Martin's injuries."

Most of these celebrity replies were set to be visible only to Martin's account.

But the fans' replies imdiately filled the comnt section.

"Just look at the photos, you can imagine how hard Martin works on set!"

"Amazing action scenes, all risking injuries!"

"Martin's talent is amazing, Martin's effort is admirable!"

"A movie shot like this is worth our money to watch."

The tweet Martin sent out was quickly reposted, appearing on nurous online dia platforms.

Fans across the internet knew that the killer-like man was making a coback!

The 'John Wick: Chapter 3' crew also took this opportunity to launch a promotional campaign, telling all of Arica's fans through dia articles and internet interactions that Jonathan was back!

The crew based their promotion on the continuing saga involving the dog.

The first batch of promotional posters was officially released.

There were two main ones.

The primary poster featured Martin, bruised and battered, running down the streets of New York with his dog.

The secondary poster showed Blake Lively with guns in both hands, fighting alongside two German Shepherds wearing bulletproof vests.

"The bloodshed caused by a dog continues!"

"Screen heroes that are all show will soon have nowhere to go, only true heroes can earn the audience's support!"
