"Hush."
Old Jack, without turning his head, lowered his voice and tied a knot in his belt, cautiously approaching the crocodile.
As he got closer, he suddenly accelerated, pouncing on the crocodile as it raised its head, his hands like iron pincers, firmly grasping the crocodile’s neck and pinning it down.
Stepping on the crocodile’s head, he pulled hard and used the belt to tightly fasten its mouth shut, then yanked it out of the mud pit like a string of strung-up carp, turning it belly up.
The crocodile’s flailing limbs tried to roll in a death thrash, but once its mouth was tied up, it was powerless to do anything.
Old Jack didn’t bother exchanging words with it, promptly grabbed the entrenching shovel and, with practiced skill, waited for the right mont to bash its forehead repeatedly with a dozen quick strikes!
The sharp edge of the shovel, like an axe, knocked the crocodile senseless!
Old Jack casually threw the unconscious crocodile on the edge of the swamp, wiped the mud from his face, and grinned, "Not bad, just a smaller one, easy to handle. I used to encounter these fellows quite a bit when I was escaping with my comrades on the roads of the Northwest, spending nights in the wilderness. Sotis, if we wanted a taste, we’d hunt a couple. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten any."
"..."
The General Sect Leader watched as Old Jack single-handedly took down a young crocodile in no ti and was dumbfounded.
He looked at him deeply, exclaiming, "You’re really fierce! You even dare to do this?"
What a warrior.
The General Sect Leader had underestimated you.
"If it were an adult crocodile, I definitely wouldn’t have acted," Old Jack said irritably: "After all, I’m not stupid; I couldn’t kill a several-ters-long crocodile even if I tried. As for these adolescent crocodiles, any adult with a bit of technique can handle them. Now that it’s taken care of, we can explore the vicinity with peace of mind."
"Forget it. If you want to go down, go by yourself," Allen Zhang imdiately discarded the idea of playing in the mud. Who knows how many more crocodiles are there?
"A wise man does not stand under a collapsing wall," the General Sect Leader was not interested in a battle of wits and strength with crocodiles, too risky.
It would be better to just burn everything at once!
"What a pity," Old Jack sighed, walking out of the mud pit and washing his face in a nearby puddle. Seeing the crocodile beginning to recover, he said nothing and hacked it twice more with the shovel, putting it to rest.
He even started skinning it right there, his technique very skilled! It was clear he had done this many tis before!
The General Sect Leader also hadn’t expected Old Jack to have this survival skill. With age cos a wealth of experiences, able to pull out every trick in the book. Except his recoil control was not too good!
Old Jack quickly chopped the crocodile into pieces, stuffed it into his bag, and only then did he rember to ask, "Hunting isn’t illegal on this island, is it?"
"How would I know, but it probably isn’t illegal since this isn’t so wildlife sanctuary," replied Allen Zhang.
After Old Jack had dealt with his trophy, the General Sect Leader took a photo, noted the location, and the two of them moved on to the next site.
They spent so ti and successively visited and photographed over a dozen locations, including plateaus and rocky areas away from the tide zones and Rocky Beach, so of which were prohibited areas with warning signs, barbed wire fences, and ard Gewu Guerrilla keeping watch, justified by the presence of large predators.
It was a mystery how such a remote island ca to be ho to so many wild animals.
It was rely a reef-strewn solitary island with at most two hundred years of history, yet it was filled with a wealth of mammals and oviparous creatures.
So were transplanted there by humans, while others might have arrived due to natural disasters, like the unlucky ones brought by tsunamis and hurricanes, a one-in-a-million chance of animals falling from the sky.
There were instances of monsoon rains causing floods in Nepal, sweeping a young female rhinoceros to India, allowing it to undertake international travel and ultimately being found and taken in by locals.
But what the General Sect Leader was more concerned about was whether the chastity of that female rhinoceros remained intact.
With the inspection of the island complete, Allen Zhang decided to call it a day with Old Jack and head back.
Leaving the rainforest area, they ca outside. From a distance, they saw Bailey lounging on a beach chair, sunbathing and sipping juice.
Hearing the General Sect Leader’s call, Bailey turned his head, saw the two n, and imdiately got up to et them.
"Boss, what happened to you guys? Fell into a swampy mud pit?" Bailey, seeing Old Jack’s disheveled and muddy appearance, was also curious.
"Go exchange these silver coins for money, and then we’re ready to leave," Allen Zhang handed the silver coins to Bailey and said.
"Leaving already? I feel like we hardly had any fun," Bailey lanted, glancing once more at the nearby beach volleyball activity.
Allen Zhang followed his gaze and upon seeing a group of Latinas in bikinis, or even less, with fiery figures, imdiately understood what he was thinking.
Irritably he said, "You can stay if you want, no one’s stopping you, and it’s not like we can’t get back on our own."
"Boss, without piloting the private plane, you’ll have to charter a flight back," Bailey said resentfully: "There’s nothing good about this island anyway, it’s only lively now, but co night, there won’t be a soul in sight. I don’t want to stay in a shabby hut feeding mosquitoes."
