Donnie nodded. He didn’t particularly care about how Gilbert Thomas conducted himself; what Donnie wanted was for Gilbert Thomas to beco an influential figure in the United Kingdom, rather than to fuss over the thods Gilbert Thomas used to achieve that status.
“I think you need to move quicker; it’s possible that in a few days, you may face so problems!”
Donnie cautioned Gilbert Thomas.
Gilbert Thomas showed a puzzled expression. “What problems? Why am I unaware?”
Donnie, although he hadn’t t with the Rothschild family in recent days, was well aware that the two sides were locked in a ga of strategy.

At this, Donnie smiled and remarked, “Gilbert, this could be a rare opportunity for you! If you can collaborate with the Rothschild family, your business in the United Kingdom will undoubtedly thrive. I imagine that by then, when outsiders encounter you, they will surely address you as Businessman Gilbert Thomas!”
“Hmph!” Gilbert Thomas snorted coldly. “Don’t flatter intentionally—I know well that my current status is only thanks to your support. Besides, the Rothschild family and I don’t share any sort of battlefield camaraderie. Worst case, I’ll head to the United States to join you!”
Donnie was very pleased with Gilbert Thomas’s response but didn’t fully trust it.
“Dear Thomas, you misunderstood my intent!” Donnie said with a smile. “If the Rothschild family truly contacts you, I hope you will accept their offer!”
Gilbert Thomas’s thoughts raced as he grasped Donnie’s intention. “You want to act as a double-agent, don’t you?”
Donnie waved his hand. “Don’t use such harsh language. I rely don’t want you to run into trouble because of this situation. My dealings with the Rothschild family are sowhat intricate—we are competitors right now, but I believe soon we may beco partners. Your concerns aren’t as critical; I just want to know what thods the Rothschild family plans to use against .”
Donnie wasn’t about to let Gilbert Thomas bear the costs alone, even though the latter had said he wouldn’t hesitate to flee to the United States if he couldn’t establish himself in the United Kingdom.
That said, Donnie believed that if given the chance, Gilbert Thomas wouldn’t willingly leave the United Kingdom. After all, in the United Kingdom, he was a gang leader and a company chairman.
