But Adolf Ochs didn’t return to New York; instead, he went to Philadelphia to et with Felix Warburg of the Kuhn, Loeb & Co. consortium.
“Felix, I need your help now!”
Upon eting Felix Warburg, Adolf Ochs got straight to the point.
Felix Warburg was obviously aware of the issues between Donnie and Adolf Ochs, but he was not aware of the negotiations that had taken place between Adolf Ochs and Donnie.

At this ti, Adolf Ochs was sowhat confused. He did not know about the cooperation being negotiated between Donnie and the Warburg family, but he was aware that the Kuhn, Loeb & Co. consortium had always wanted to enter the Atlantic City capital markets.
After all, in the past, The New York Tis had been at the forefront in attacking Donnie’s monopoly over the financial environnt of Atlantic City.
As fellow Jewish people, Adolf Ochs had a deep relationship with the Warburg brothers.
“Donnie has agreed to let the Kuhn, Loeb & Co. consortium enter Atlantic City?”
“We have indeed reached a preliminary understanding between us, but the whole affair still needs to be slowly progressed!”
Felix Warburg did not reveal the specific details to Adolf Ochs.

Although Felix Warburg was dissatisfied with the tone Adolf Ochs was using, he still reminded him: “Adolf, you should know that Donnie’s bootlegging empire represents the interests of many, I can tell you without exaggeration, that the entire empire stands for the elite class of the entire United States.
If you make this public, I can assure you that no matter how influential The New York Tis is nationwide, it will be extinguished in no ti!”
Adolf Ochs was not unaware of the pros and cons involved, but at this mont, his intelligence was completely overtaken by anger.
Now after being reminded by Felix Warburg, Adolf Ochs realized how foolish his previous decision had been!
