Donnie acquired Breton Bank, but from this deal alone, it actually wasn’t a particularly astonishing transaction.
However, from a strategic point of view, it could be said to have filled the last piece of the puzzle in Donnie’s business territory.
With this piece in place, Donnie’s New Jersey Consortium could be considered officially established.
If the United States were seen as a cake, then Donnie’s New Jersey Consortium was now ready to formally join the table and share a piece of the cake.
The key issue was that the cake hadn’t grown any larger with Donnie’s entry; it remained the sa size, aning Donnie would need to take portions previously held by others.
If Donnie had tried to do this before the founding of the Tarot Society, llon would certainly have disapproved, since he, too, was one of the beneficiaries of the cake’s distribution.
But now, with the Tarot Society in place, although the two sides couldn’t be said to have a common interest, they were a body of aligned interests.
The result was that Donnie’s joining would not only avoid taking away llon’s share but might also lead them to a consensus on dividing the portions of others.
“OK!” William llon nodded and said with a smile, “My uncle said that on this matter, as long as we have your guarantee, we llons won’t take any further action!”
Donnie also smiled. llon’s support was very important, although it seed that in the acquisition of Breton Bank, it wasn’t directly related to llon.
“After completing the acquisition of Breton Bank, I hope to expand Breton Bank’s insurance business. However, in this matter, Breton Bank itself has limited capabilities in this industry. I think our two banks could cooperate to form a new insurance company, and in this matter, we at Breton Bank are willing to take an auxiliary position!”
A verbal commitnt is never as solid as cooperation based on interests.
The Tarot Society itself was an organization established due to the combination of interests. Donnie, although he trusted Andrew llon’s assurance, was more inclined to believe in the bonding of interests.
Insurance, while a very important part of the future financial field, is a sector which Donnie was willing to yield if it involved only the United States.
Actually, if there’s cooperation with llon Bank, the insurance business would only grow bigger, and eventually, the wealth that Donnie would acquire would even surpass what Breton Bank could have earned managing that field on its own!
William llon also showed surprise. If Donnie could complete the acquisition of Breton Bank, both William llon and Andrew llon believed that under Donnie’s managent, it would certainly develop far more robustly than under the Dick Family’s operation.
Therefore, if llon Bank’s insurance business could rge with Breton Bank’s insurance business, plus Donnie’s influence in New Jersey, it essentially ant that their newly established insurance company could easily penetrate the New Jersey market.
The wealth that would co from behind would be unimaginable!
“Donnie, my uncle will be very happy if he hears your proposal,” he said.
Donnie laughed, “I’ve told Andrew before that Arica is big, and so is the world. As long as we work together, our business will definitely be more than just in Arica!”
William llon nodded seriously, knowing of the existence of the Tarot Society from Andrew llon. After hearing Donnie’s plan, William grew even more expectant about future developnts of the Tarot Society.
Although William llon understood that he couldn’t possibly join the Tarot Society now… it wasn’t that he didn’t want to, but rather that he wasn’t qualified yet.
But once he took over the llon Consortium in the future, he would naturally be able to join the Tarot Society, and perhaps by then, the Tarot Society would be a completely different scene.
Thinking of this, William llon felt a sense of anticipation.
“Donnie, if they could find us, I believe they will definitely go to Morgan as well. Morgan is different from us llons; they will definitely not be willing to see you complete the acquisition of Breton Bank!”
The relationship between Morgan and Donnie was complicated; the two had both competition and collaboration.
But no matter what, with New Jersey being too close to New York, and with multiple cooperative relationships between Donnie and Morgan, if Donnie completed the acquisition of Breton Bank,
it would an Donnie had begun to no longer need Morgan.
Yet, Morgan itself certainly wouldn’t be willing to give up doing business with Donnie.
Thus, William llon was reminding Donnie that Morgan’s attitude in this matter would definitely not be the sa as theirs.
Donnie nodded, having considered the matter even before he prepared to acquire Breton Bank.
If possible, Donnie did not want to create competition with Morgan in this matter. It wasn’t that Donnie feared Morgan’s strength.
As long as the business deal occurred in New Jersey, Atlantic City, it didn’t matter if it was Morgan, or even Morgan plus Rockefeller plus DuPont; Donnie felt he had the ability to battle with them.
However, in the business world, competition is always inferior, especially against a juggernaut like Morgan; so, if given the choice, Donnie still hoped to work with Morgan.
In fact, not just now, but Donnie had many plans in the future, all of which could require Morgan’s involvent.
“I understand, but I believe that as long as there’s a larger joint interest, even if the other party is Morgan, negotiations are not off the table!”
After reflecting on this for a while, Donnie had indeed co up with sothing that could attract more of Morgan’s attention.
William llon looked at Donnie skeptically. Greater interests ant larger cooperation, right?
But since Donnie hadn’t spoken and recalling the recent decision to cooperate with Donnie in insurance, William llon wisely refrained from asking more!
