"Ding-a-ling-a-ling!"

An ear-piercing ringtone woke Eduardo Doheny from his sleep; he crawled out of the tangle of two won and answered the phone.

"Who's there?"

The response on the other end instantly woke Eduardo Doheny, and he sat bolt upright in bed, completely ignoring the dissatisfaction of the two won beside him.

"Say that again?"

Eduardo Doheny's tone trembled slightly.

After the person on the other end repeated their words, Eduardo Doheny said with a trembling voice, "I understand!"

He said nothing more and staggered out of bed, in his haste grabbing the nightgown of one of the won; Eduardo Doheny didn't care, he just walked straight out of his room, regardless of the fact that it was three o'clock in the morning.

He hurried through the corridors of the Vanderbilt Hotel, quickly arriving at Harry Sinclair's room.

Bang bang bang!

The heavy knocking echoed as the door opened revealing Harry Sinclair with an expression mirroring that of Eduardo Doheny's.

"I've already called Stuart, just go straight to his room!"

When the two of them arrived at Robert Stuart's room, Jas O'Neal was already there.

It was evident all four had received a call, and the content was roughly the sa.

"Donnie actually dares to be so bold?"

Eduardo Doheny sat on the sofa, his face still showing a frightened expression.

Earlier they had all received the sa call: the head of the security team in charge of the three major oil fields had been assassinated, and the managers responsible for the normal operation of the oil fields had all received a letter at their hos containing nothing but a single bullet.

"My people told Bergweid's corpse was thrown onto Café Town's square, and at the sa ti, several other captains had their legs broken," continued Eduardo Doheny.

Harry Sinclair added, "The sa at my end!"

After saying this, the two looked towards Robert Stuart and Jas O'Neal, who, although silent, faced the sa situation.

"Stuart, we can't just let this slide!"

After experiencing panic, an angry Harry Sinclair shouted, "Donnie is blatantly showing off to us, if we back down now, what will others think of us?"

As Robert Stuart was about to say sothing, the phone in his room rang again.

The sudden ringing startled all four n in the room.

"Who is it calling?" At this point, Eduardo Doheny was like a frightened bird.

"How would I know before I've answered?" retorted Robert Stuart with a cold expression.

He then picked up the phone.

On the other end was the voice of Camilo Hades.

"Mr. Stuart, this is Hades!"

Robert Stuart cast a suspicious look at Harry Sinclair before speaking, "Why aren't you calling Harry? Why are you calling my room?"

On the other end, Camilo Hades's voice trembled, "Mr. Block told that at this ti, all four of you would definitely be in your room!"

"What?"

Robert Stuart stood up abruptly, looking towards the closed door, finally showing a panicked expression.

"How does he know? Is he with you?"

"No, Mr. Block sent his driver, Steve Cotting, over, saying there's sothing he wanted to tell you!" said Camilo Hades.

"What is it?" Robert Stuart asked angrily, frustrated that Donnie wasn't showing himself even now, only sending his driver to relay ssages as if playing gas with them.

"Mr. Block instructed to inform you that he's set up checkpoints on the roads leading to all three oil fields. From now on, our company's vehicles will be searched, and if you four have any objections, you can confront him in Atlantic City!"

At that mont, Camilo Hades was sitting on the living room sofa in just his shorts, and next to him stood the neatly dressed Steve Cotting. Steve Cotting stood there with his arms crossed, and what frightened Camilo Hades was the pistol in Steve Cotting's hand!

Robert Stuart hung up the phone and relayed Camilo Hades's ssage to the other three in the room.

Surprise and anger appeared on the faces of the other three n!

The situation was sothing the three of them had never experienced; after all, they were just businessn accustod to luxury. They had used illegal ans against their rivals, but always from within their offices, orchestrating events from afar.

They had never faced anything so insane before.

They understood that Donnie's actions that early morning were a ssage to them: since they had chosen to resolve issues through force, Donnie would retaliate with even more terrifying thods!

Earlier, when they had received calls from their companies, the operations staff, terror-stricken, had nearly cried and requested resignations.

If this situation wasn't handled properly, their business in the three oil fields would definitely be affected.

More importantly, now that Donnie had set up his own checkpoints on the highways, following the murder of the head of security and the crippling of captains, they couldn't guarantee whether their security teams had the courage to face Donnie's n head-on any longer!
