Donnie looked at Helen and shook his head, "I'm afraid I can't agree to your request right now. From the look of you, I can already tell that this girl's background must be quite extraordinary!"

"Hmph, look at how cautious you are!" For the first ti, Helen showed a look of annoyance towards Donnie.

Donnie just smiled nonchalantly.

"Helen, so you really are here. I honestly never expected you would co to Atlantic City!"

The girl Helen disliked had accurately located her in the dance hall and approached her with a smile.

"Alice, I thought you were vacationing in Miami. What brings you to Atlantic City?"

Helen let go of Donnie and hugged Alice, speaking enthusiastically.

"I heard you were working in Atlantic City, so I thought I'd co and see what was so appealing about this place that it drew you here."

At this, Alice looked at Donnie and said with pride, "I think I know now!"

After finishing her words, Alice looked at Donnie with a smile, extended her hand, and said warmly, "Hello, my na is Alice Roosevelt!"

Indeed, the person who could make a princess of the Taft Family detest her was certainly not soone from a simple family either.

The girl was from the Roosevelt Family!

"Hello, Donnie Block!"

Alice said with a smile, "I know you. You're one of the most influential figures in Atlantic City now, the founder of Miss Arica."

Donnie humbly said, "It's just so empty fa!"

Alice showed a hint of disdain, "You seem a bit hypocritical. To be able to achieve what you have in a little over a year, don't you know that many adults are comparing their own children to you now?"

"Alice!" Helen said discontentedly, "Donnie is being modest. Do you want him to tell you that his achievents are great?"

Alice replied as if it were obvious, "Although it's not about being great, it's certainly very good already. Why be modest?"

Seeing that the two were about to engage in a verbal duel, Donnie suggested, "I think we should go aside and talk about this!"

"I don't mind at all. After all, I ca here to find Helen. Wherever she is, there I will be!"

Alice said with pride.

Helen did not hide her look of annoyance.

The three moved to a corner of the ballroom, and Donnie asked Alice, "Why isn't your friend coming over?"

Alice simply glanced at the young man who had accompanied her and said nonchalantly, "Oh him? He just brought in here, I don't even know his na. Why should I call him over?"

Donnie: "...."

Helen said, "This is why you don't have any friends!"

"Helen, you are my friend, and that's enough for !" Alice said proudly. "Besides, you can't expect to go around telling waiters at the door that I'm the daughter of the Roosevelt Family, can you?"

Helen: "..."

Alice, seeing Helen's helpless look, smiled triumphantly and then told Donnie, "Donnie, as you just heard, in Atlantic City, I only have one friend, Helen... No, in the whole United States, I only have one good friend, Helen. Now she's working at WRPA, and I want to go too. Arrange a place for there!"

"No way!" Before Donnie could answer, Helen spoke up imdiately on Donnie's behalf, "I'm at WRPA to work seriously, not to play!"

"I'm not going to play either!" Alice said earnestly. "I'm very serious too!"

"Heh!" Helen.

"Donnie, you see, Helen isn't objecting anymore, so let's consider it settled!"

Alice didn't even ask for Donnie's opinion, effectively giving orders!

"Miss Roosevelt, I'm really sorry, but you can't work at WRPA!"

Donnie refused Alice's request because he didn't like the way Alice spoke to him!

"Well then, I'll just go tomorrow... What? You're not letting go?" Alice's speech was cut off halfway as she realized and then glared at Donnie in anger.

Helen, seeing Donnie reject Alice, imdiately revealed a smile on her face.

"Yes, you can't go!" Donnie said indifferently.

"Do you know who I am? And you're not letting go?" Alice still couldn't believe that Donnie would refuse her.

"Of course I do, but you still can't go!" Donnie said lightly.

Alice was furious, having never imagined that Donnie would refuse her.

However, when she saw the smile on Helen's face, she quickly said with a laugh, "So you two are together, huh? Helen, aren't you afraid I might tell Uncle Taft about this?"

Helen didn't argue with Alice about this matter, just saying, "Whatever!"

Alice curiously observed Donnie and Helen as if she had discovered a secret and said triumphantly, "So you two aren't really together yet; it's just Donnie pursuing Helen?"

Donnie said, "Then you're mistaken, Helen and I are just very simple friends. And the reason you can't work at WRPA is that you just don't fit in there!"

Alice imdiately showed dissatisfaction, "Helen fits in, so why don't I? Are you discriminating against ?"

Donnie shook his head; by now, he had seen through Alice. She was just simply trying to compete with Helen, in other words, she wanted what Helen had.

"The ball is almost over, I should take you ho now!"

Donnie said to Helen.
