At the Chase Bank celebration ball, the FBI took away the night’s main characters Kyle King, Sidney Allen, and Hugh Gardner.

News spread quickly in New York!

At that mont, both New York’s business community and political circles exploded.

The business people were furious beyond asure.

Because in their view, these United States politicians rose to power relying on their funds.

They, as privileged figures in the United States, now see mbers of their class taken away by the FBI.

And it happened at Chase Bank’s celebration ball.

This is effectively a slap to the face of all business people.

New York’s politicians are equally enraged; in a way, the FBI, being a direct intelligence agency under the White House, is not subject to State Governnt or City Hall’s command.

But after all, this is New York State, New York City, one of the most important cities in the United States.

Their power is vast, and now the FBI took action without consulting them.

Even with New York City Hall and New York State Governnt present.

This is equivalent to a direct slap in their face!

Even at this mont, both groups knew that Venus Bank and Donnie Block were behind the push for this event.

But they still could not accept it.

They were willing to accept Venus Bank beating Chase Bank through comrcial ans, rather than this table-flipping approach.

This challenged their bottom line.

Because if Venus Bank can do this to Chase Bank now, they might do the sa to other financial groups when they target them.

So at this mont, the phones and reception of FBI’s New York field office went crazy.

Those high-ranking figures, either called in or ca personally, demanding the FBI provide an explanation.

This scene left the staff at FBI’s New York field office dumbfounded, feeling the pressure.

This pressure caused the entire office’s atmosphere to be heavy!

Jerry Hop walked out of his office.

He saw all eyes on him.

"From now on, anyone, any group calling about this matter, claim it was my idea. If they have issues, let them co to . Just say you acted as per my request!"

Upon hearing this from Jerry Hop, so sighed in relief.

They joined the FBI just for a job.

No need to offend so many people.

Though the FBI has nominal independent investigative power, beyond politics, everyone knows that no unit can be entirely independent of overall political structures.

Since Jerry Hop is willing to take all the responsibility now, they naturally have no objections!

"Terry, seal the evidence of those three people. Without my orders, no one is allowed to move them!"

Jerry Hop instructed sternly.

In the United States’ political and business scenes, there isn’t a single clean figure among the elite.

At least Donnie believes so, and hasn’t seen exceptions.

So the evidence of Kyle King, Sidney Allen, and Hugh Gardner are genuine, not fabricated by Jerry Hop and others.

When high-ranking officials face small figures, evidence isn’t needed because their words alone decide life and death.

But when facing equals, evidence becos crucial!

Actually, not only the FBI’s New York field office was in turmoil.

Breton Bank was in chaos too.

Bavilev, after leaving the Regis Hotel, did not go ho, even though it was already night.

He clearly understood what he was about to face!

At this ti, Fiorello La Guardia also arrived at Bavilev’s office.

"Mr. Lev, I need an explanation for this matter!"

Fiorello La Guardia was very angry.

As previously stated, like many others, he allowed Venus Bank and Chase Bank to engage in a comrcial war.

But now, Venus Bank used the FBI’s power to arrest the prominent figures supported by Chase Bank.

This is a very serious matter for New York City.

Even though his relationship with Donnie Block is very good, he cannot accept this reality now.

"Mr. La Guardia, is there really anything left to say?

Kyle King and the others violated federal law, and have been taken away by the FBI.

Isn’t this a mont to demonstrate the fairness of federal law?"

Bavilev said, sitting relaxed in his chair.

Fiorello La Guardia waved his hand, firmly saying, "Mr. Lev, are you still going to tell these things at this point?

When have federal laws ever been for these people? Federal laws have always existed to constrain the ordinary!"

Bavilev chuckled, saying, "Since the Mayor is so straightforward, I don’t need to hide.

This issue originally stemd from Chase Bank breaking the rules first, had they not bribed Harold Ikes and Harry Woodlin.

Would Venus Bank’s orders be taken away by them?

Since Chase Bank broke the rules first, why should Venus Bank abide by them!"

Just as Fiorello La Guardia wanted to say more.

New York State’s Governor Herbert Lehman also arrived at Bavilev’s office.
