Capítulo 1652: Chapter 612: Turks and Caicos Kingdom (Part 2)

In that case, the more outstanding Michael Block’s abilities are, the better it is!

“Block, do you really not want Michael to go into politics? If our families support him, Michael has a high chance of moving into the White House in the future. With Caron and Michael, the Block Family will beco the largest political family in the United States!”

Franklin Roosevelt asked Donnie.

Donnie shook his head and said, “As for the Block Family’s involvent in U.S. politics, I’ll leave that to Caron and his descendants. Michael is destined to beco the King of Turks and Caicos Islands in the future!”

Donnie no longer shied away from discussing this matter in front of Franklin Roosevelt.

Franklin Roosevelt said, “You really want to turn the Turks and Caicos Islands into a kingdom?”

Donnie nodded and said, “That’s right, it will help him control the entire Venus Consortium.”

In fact, Donnie had already begun the process of moving the registration of the entire Venus Consortium to the Turks and Caicos Islands.

If this matter is made public, it would certainly shake the business world of the United States.

Therefore, Donnie had been pushing forward this matter secretly without any public announcent.

Once the Venus Consortium fully migrates to the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the islands beco an independent kingdom, the Block Family will have absolute power there.

By then, anyone wanting to target the Venus Consortium would be facing a country.

Franklin Roosevelt said, “Making the Turks and Caicos Islands an independent country is not difficult, but relocating the entire Venus Consortium there is a very challenging task.”

Although the Turks and Caicos Islands have not yet gained independence, high-level officials in the United States and the United Kingdom have already ntally allocated them to Donnie Block.

Currently, what is truly difficult for the United States to accept is the relocation of the Venus Consortium.

Donnie laughed and said, “So this ti, I hope that after your re-election, you can acknowledge the financial privileges of the Turks and Caicos Islands!”

Although the Venus Consortium is involved in various industries, unlike Morgan, it truly controls these business conglorates.

But in reality, the core business of the Venus Consortium is still financial control.

In the construction of the Turks and Caicos Islands, Donnie plans to develop them into a global financial center.

The first step is to have the United States acknowledge the financial status of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Only in this way, can the subsequent plans unfold more effectively!

Franklin Roosevelt smiled wryly and said, “This is not an easy task, it will certainly co under a lot of attacks!”

But Donnie confidently smiled and said, “As long as the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, and the military support it, all other voices are irrelevant.

Because ordinary people simply wouldn’t care about such matters!”

Franklin Roosevelt nodded and said, “After I deliver my inauguration speech, I’ll start handling this matter, but you need to personally persuade Congress!”

Such matters don’t pass just because Franklin Roosevelt agrees; it must pass through Congress!

While Franklin Roosevelt himself would also work towards this, ultimately, it’s Donnie’s own matter.

Donnie nodded and said, “I understand!”

On the day of Franklin Roosevelt’s inauguration, it rained in Washington, with cold raindrops falling maliciously on the damp crowd.

Franklin Roosevelt stood in front of the Capitol Building, taking the oath of office.

Donnie sat behind with Michael.

“Dad, will Uncle Caron be like this in the future?”

Michael turned to Donnie and asked.

Donnie smiled and nodded, “Of course, in the future, Caron will also beco the President of the United States, and perhaps by then you might beco his assistant!”

While Donnie won’t let Michael truly enter politics, he will let him be involved in such matters.

Unlike Donnie, Michael lacks the ability to foresee future directions.

If Caron becos the President of the United States in the future, Michael could leverage Caron’s position to forge good relationships with world leaders.

This would also count as Michael’s political resource!

Franklin Roosevelt’s speeches were always eloquent and powerful. At this mont, using passionate language, he described the improvents the U.S. had achieved since 1933, then he asked: “Should we stop and turn back now?”

His answer was, of course, “No.”

Then Franklin Roosevelt sharply summarized the poverty and misfortune that still needed overcoming.

“I see one-third of the nation poorly housed, poorly clothed, poorly fed,” he said. “I paint this picture not in despair but in hope, for the nation has seen it, knows of the injustice present in it, and plans to erase it.

We are determined to make every citizen the concern and care of his society; we will never regard any faithful and law-abiding sector within our borders as superfluous.

To asure our progress, it is not about adding more to those who have much, but providing enough to those who have little.”

Michael listened to Franklin Roosevelt’s speech, not distracted by its passion, but curiously asked, “Dad, does sitting in this position an you have to say insincere things?”

Donnie chuckled and said, “It’s not insincerity, but that Roosevelt truly thinks this way. However, the process of doing such things is never as beautiful.

You can regard what he says as a hopeful vision for the future, but shouldn’t overlook the sacrifices needed to reach it.

Moreover, such a vision is sothing you can strive for, but shouldn’t be your ultimate goal.

This kind of result cannot be resolved in a few years or decades!”

After contemplating for a mont, Michael said, “So it’s still insincerity, just painting a rosy picture for the public, whether it can be achieved is another matter!”

Donnie nodded and said, “You can think of it that way, but bear in mind, the public is the easiest to deceive; they hope those in power will think for them. When the rulers show such intentions, the public is happy!”

Michael nodded.

The crowd listening to Franklin Roosevelt’s speech below confird Donnie’s words with their actions.

Trying to grasp their umbrellas while applauding or at least cheering no matter what.

This was the kind of militant humanitarianism they liked.

However, everyone in the crowd, be they supporters, skeptics, or opponents of the New Deal, was intently listening for sothing more specific.

How did Roosevelt plan to continue down the “road ahead”?

Specifically, how did he intend to deal with the Supre Court?

As Roosevelt saw it, the Supre Court stood in the middle of that road.

Almost 20 months had passed since the Supre Court crushed the NRA, during which ti Roosevelt had been biding his ti.

During the 1936 campaign, he’d completely avoided the Supre Court issue.

Now, with a majority supporting him, what would he say?

“Dad, I rember your relations with the Supre Court are excellent, and we’re allies with Roosevelt.

Why don’t you diate between them to ease their relations?”

Michael continued to ask Donnie.

Donnie smiled, “You shouldn’t place yourself on the sa level as them. When dealing with them, you can interact with them on equal terms, but personally, you should look upon them from a vantage point.

It’s like how within the Venus Consortium, I allow factions for the sa reason!”
