The war over who would be the boss of Arican business had ended.

But Donnie was busier than ever!

Just after arranging the internal matters of the Venus Bank, Donnie received a call from Herbert Hoover.

Herbert Hoover hoped that Donnie could arrive in Washington as soon as possible.

With the advent and continuation of this financial crisis, more and more Aricans couldn’t help but feel a term surfacing in their minds that they did not want to accept under any circumstances!

The Great Depression!

More and more companies and factories were going bankrupt, more and more goods couldn’t be sold, and more and more people took to the streets, starting to wander.

The prosperity of yesterday seed like a dream to the people now.

In this situation, Herbert Hoover, who was elected to the presidency, beca the target of everyone’s attacks.

Because one of the campaign slogans Herbert Hoover proposed at the start of his election campaign was "Let Arica prosper for four more years!"

In fact, this financial crisis had little to do with Herbert Hoover; such signs had already appeared during Coolidge’s era, except that it hadn’t reached a breaking point then.

Now that it had, it simply collapsed.

Not just Herbert Hoover, but even Franklin Roosevelt would face the sa outco if he were elected.

But angry Arican citizens didn’t see it that way. Since Herbert Hoover, when taking office, talked about making Arica prosperous for another four years, he had to achieve it.

Now Arica was witnessing a financial crisis, seemingly on the brink of a Great Depression.

All this needed soone to take the fall.

And Herbert Hoover was the best scapegoat.

There were even rumors that Al Smith, the Democratic candidate who competed against Herbert Hoover for the presidency back then, was already celebrating with champagne at ho.

If he had been elected President of the United States, he would be the one being cursed by all Aricans now!

To salvage the current situation, strong action was needed.

Herbert Hoover thought of Donnie.

Donnie boarded a train to Washington, though Herbert Hoover hoped he would fly.

However, Donnie pleasantly refused Herbert Hoover’s suggestion.

Even though airplanes could now fly longer distances and were becoming safer, Donnie still trusted the safety of trains more.

Upon arriving in Washington, Donnie was imdiately picked up by Café Jackson.

"Boss, Mr. President is very anxious right now, just waiting for you to co!"

On the way to the White House, Café Jackson said helplessly to Donnie.

Donnie didn’t respond to Café Jackson’s words but turned his gaze outside the window, where a crowd of people, who had lost all their interests in the stock market and their jobs, filled the street.

They took to the streets, protesting Herbert Hoover’s administration.

"Is it because of these people?" Donnie finally turned to ask Café Jackson after a long while.

Café Jackson nodded helplessly: "That’s right, you know the President is planning to run for re-election. Now that this has happened, he’s worried about his next presidential election!"

Although the Arican presidential election wasn’t entirely fair, the national vote still played a big role.

Especially during the election, with competitors present.

Now that Arica faced a financial crisis under Herbert Hoover’s presidency, leading to the Great Depression.

Under such circumstances, if Herbert Hoover couldn’t reverse the situation in the next three years, it would not be easy for him to be re-elected.

Not to ntion, Donnie also knew by 1932, Herbert Hoover would face a strong opponent, Franklin Roosevelt!

The two arrived at the White House and t Herbert Hoover in the Oval Office.

Herbert Hoover still maintained a smile.

After seeing Donnie, he embraced him with congratulations.

"Dear Block, congratulations, Venus Bank will beco the largest consortium in the country. From now on, the Arican economy will depend on the support of Venus Bank!"

Herbert Hoover’s enthusiasm didn’t make Donnie happy; instead, it made him slightly wary.

"Mr. President, there’s nothing we can do; you don’t know, hundreds of unemployed people have gone to Atlantic City, sitting in protest at the entrance of Venus Bank. If it weren’t for that, Venus Bank wouldn’t have stepped in at this ti!"

Although Donnie felt wary, he still responded warmly.

"Is that so?" Herbert Hoover said: "What is going on with the Atlantic City and New Jersey Security Departnt, that they can’t even handle such a small matter?"

Donnie waved his hand, clearly not wanting to discuss this subject, and said: "Mr. President, you called over here for the future economic developnt of Arica, right?"

Herbert Hoover nodded, he didn’t hide this matter, but didn’t say it directly, instead, he introduced two people in his office to Donnie!

"Block, co, let introduce you to these two, Willis Hawley and Reedsmoot, both are brilliant economists and steadfast Republicans!"

Willis Hawley, fair and chubby, and Reedsmoot, tall and thin.

When Donnie saw them, he thought of Tyrone Capello and Joachim Lange.
