Chapter 1368: Chapter 470: Driving the Rebellion (Part 2)

Donnie also allowed his subordinates to compete, just like before, the competition between Café Jackson of Venus Bank and Robert Lillard.

Their competition did not harm the group’s interests; instead, through their competition, it brought more benefits to the company.

Burke Logan and five others nervously left Donnie’s room, leaving only Zack Holloway behind.

Zack Holloway composed himself and then said to Donnie, “Boss, both the Governor and the Mayor know about your visit to Houston. They specifically called to invite you to a party they prepared for you!”

Donnie nodded and said, “Just inform Henry Dale of the specific ti!”

“Okay!” Zack Holloway nodded. Before serving as a senior partner at the Texas Venus Bank, Zack Holloway was Donnie’s assistant, and he was very familiar with these procedures.

“I plan to go deep-sea fishing for a while tomorrow. Make the arrangents!”

Donnie instructed Zack Holloway.

This trip to Houston, aside from inspecting the Texas Venus Bank, was primarily to pay attention to the situation in xico.

Deep-sea fishing was a good choice, allowing him to rest while waiting for developnts in xico.

That evening, Donnie attended the party hosted by the Texas Governor, where he beca the absolute center of attention. Everyone was flattering Donnie, and he graciously exchanged pleasantries with many influential figures in Texas.

The next day!

The sun was shining brightly as Donnie boarded a brand new yacht and set out for deep-sea fishing.

The yacht was equipped with a telegraph, allowing Donnie to send orders at any ti.

After reaching the fishing area, Donnie lowered his fishing rod and sat on the yacht’s deck, enjoying a massage from a beautiful woman while listening to Henry Dale’s report.

“Boss, according to our intelligence, Aguirre and Escovar have convinced several allies, and they will officially launch the rebellion within a day or two!”

Henry Dale stood by Donnie’s side, giving a serious report.

Donnie was not very satisfied with Aguirre and Escovar’s efficiency: “The weapons were delivered to them five days ago, and they still haven’t acted!”

Henry Dale stood there rather helplessly; starting a rebellion was not as simple as children snatching candy and acting on a whim.

Donnie glanced at Henry Dale and asked, “Do you think I’m being a bit hasty?”

Henry Dale didn’t answer Donnie’s question directly but replied, “Aguirre and Escovar’s troops need ti to familiarize themselves with the new weapons, and in launching a rebellion, their strength is still not comparable to Calles. They should indeed secure more allies!”

Donnie waved his hand and said, “Do you really think Calles could maintain control over xico with Obregon for such a long ti by luck?

Their sensitivity exceeds your imagination. When we were inexplicably lingering in xican waters and then suddenly left, Calles might not guess our true intentions, but he would definitely sense sothing unusual. If I were Calles, besides capturing those traders for questioning about their conversations with us, I would also send soone to secretly investigate those generals holding significant power.

Although our actions with Aguirre and Escovar are secretive, tens of thousands of AK47s, millions of bullets, and the alliance of Aguirre and Escovar will soon be discovered by Calles. By then, with the ti to prepare, their rebellion won’t be as easy to succeed!”

Hearing Donnie’s analysis, Henry Dale showed a worried expression and imdiately asked, “Should we send them the code?”

Donnie nodded and said, “Tell them. I don’t want their rebellion to end up as a joke!”

Henry Dale looked at his boss with suspicion, feeling that his boss didn’t have much confidence in Aguirre and Escovar.

However, Henry Dale did not ask further and went to send a telegraph to Aguirre and Escovar!

At this ti, Donnie saw his fishing rod move, and he imdiately went forward to reel in the line. However, it was clear that what was hooked was a big catch that didn’t intend to let Donnie pull it up smoothly.

Thus, a struggle began between the two sides.

On the other side…

Escovar was responsible for communicating with Henry Dale.

He quickly received the telegraph from Henry Dale.

After reading the telegraph, Escovar went to Aguirre’s temporary command post. At this point, both Aguirre and Escovar were in full military gear.

“There’s news from Donnie Block!”

Ascowal placed the telegraph on Aguirre’s desk.

Aguirre’s expression changed slightly upon seeing the telegraph: “Do you think the content of the telegraph is credible?”

Escovar nodded and said, “It should be real. I trust Donnie Block’s analysis!”

“Damn it!” Aguirre slapped the telegraph onto the table in dissatisfaction, saying, “I told Donnie Block back then he shouldn’t linger in xican waters, as it would arouse Calles’ suspicion. Now it’s happening!”

Escovar said helplessly, “Do you think Donnie didn’t know this back then?”

“What do you an?” Aguirre looked at Escovar, puzzled.

Escovar explained, “Initially, I also thought Donnie Block stayed in xican waters just to connect with those traders, trying to use the U.S. model to control xico economically. But now it seems Donnie Block didn’t care about those traders at all; he stayed there to make Calles suspicious!”

Aguirre grasped Escovar’s implication, startled: “You an Donnie Block wants our fight to start as soon as possible!”

Escovar nodded and said, “That’s likely the case. At the sa ti, Donnie Block might not trust us fully. He wanted Calles to suspect us through previous actions. Once Calles investigates, despite our secrecy, he would catch on so clues.

By that ti, even if we don’t act, Calles will make a move against us. Without a choice, we can only retaliate!

Negotiations won’t even be an option!”

“Damn it!” Aguirre roared angrily, “Donnie Block is so insidious?”

Escovar signaled for Aguirre to calm down: “We don’t need to fall out with Donnie Block now. After all, even if we succeed, we still need Donnie to lobby the U.S. Governnt for recognition!”

“That’s right!” Aguirre said coldly, “Once our regi is stable, we’ll deal with Donnie Block’s business in our country!”

“Absolutely not!” Escovar imdiately cautioned Aguirre, “Are you sure that after we succeed, everyone will be willing to submit to us? If Donnie can support us in overthrowing Calles’ rule now, he can support others to overthrow our rule in the future. Besides, we still need U.S. support. If we fall out with Donnie, given his influence in the U.S., our support from Arica will be scarce.

If Donnie wants to control xico’s economy, let him. No matter what, this is still xico. As long as Donnie wants to do business here, he can’t do it without our support. Cooperation is the win-win scenario!”
