"I’ve decided to lower so loan rates to attract more real estate developers to co and borrow from us!"
Paul Warburg spoke to Felix Warburg.
Felix Warburg nodded. "I think it’s feasible. Although the Florida State Governnt has been resisting Venus Bank’s entry into Florida, we can’t guarantee that they’ll definitely block Venus Bank. After all, there are Republicans here, and if they start causing trouble, it might upset the balance in Florida.
So we must still have more initiative in business!"
Paul Warburg nodded and said, "Then go ahead and handle this!"
"Alright!"
As Felix Warburg left, Paul Warburg sighed again, wishing he were twenty years younger.
.
Palm Bank is a dium-sized local bank in Miami, but after being acquired by the Rockefeller Family, it has grown into one of Miami’s largest banks over the past two years.
"So you think Donnie will slow his pace into Florida?"
At this ti, Junior Rockefeller was discussing Donnie with Old Rockefeller.
Dispatching Junior Rockefeller to Florida to manage business there clearly shows Old Rockefeller’s emphasis on the business in Florida.
"That’s what I think. Venus Bank is indeed very powerful, but no matter how powerful, it’s impossible for it to support simultaneous expansion into three states. Over the past two years, Donnie has invested a lot of manpower and resources in Texas and California. If he brings strong funds into Florida at this ti, I would suspect it’s not just Donnie’s actions. Either the llon Family or the Morgan Family is involved!"
Junior Rockefeller was very confident in his analysis.
Old Rockefeller did not judge Junior Rockefeller’s deduction, but instead asked, "What if Venus Bank does indeed ally with the llon Family or the Morgan Family?"
Junior Rockefeller smiled confidently, "Even if that’s the case, I’m not worried. Though the business environnt in Florida is still in a primitive state, fundantally, it’s a setting we’ve deliberately created. Neither we nor the Warburg Family, nor the DuPont Family will allow Donnie to co in and share the spoils!"
Old Rockefeller sighed over the phone.
This tightened Junior Rockefeller’s heart, prompting him to ask, "Father, did I make a mistake in my analysis?"
Old Rockefeller negated, "No, if I were in your position, I would analyze the problem the sa way!"
"Then, why did you...?" Junior Rockefeller asked, puzzled.
"I just feel sothing is off. Venus Bank just withdrew from the Florida market earlier this year, and now it’s making a coback. I always feel sothing strange about this matter, and also..."
At this point, Old Rockefeller paused before continuing, "Don’t forget, this isn’t our first encounter with Donnie. Last ti, we thought we had the upper hand, yet Donnie turned the tables. I’m now worried Donnie has sothing up his sleeve that we’re unaware of!"
Old Rockefeller’s words planted a sense of unease in Junior Rockefeller’s heart; having been directly involved in past failures, the feeling was most obvious to him.
"John, what do you think about enticing Donnie’s Venus Bank into Palm Bank?" Old Rockefeller suddenly asked.
Palm Bank is the core of the Rockefeller Family’s business in Florida.
Junior Rockefeller didn’t expect his father to have such a plan. After a long consideration, Junior Rockefeller refused his father’s suggestion.
"I don’t think it’s good!"
"Explain your reasoning!"
"Although we have many collaborative projects with Venus Bank and are very close partners, fundantally, we are two different families.
With Venus Bank’s developnt over the past two years, so people have started comparing the Block Family with Rockefeller and Morgan.
I believe the entirety of Wall Street is observing the situation in Florida. If we introduce Venus Bank into Palm Bank at this ti, despite our reluctance to admit it, outsiders would surely assu it’s the Rockefeller Family conceding to the Block Family.
If just that, we could endure it, but more importantly, our current partners in Florida are the Warburg Family and the DuPont Family. If we choose to betray them now, what will the other partners of the Rockefeller Family think of us?
At that ti, they’ll certainly be wary of us, and the Rockefeller Family’s reputation will be tarnished."
Junior Rockefeller shared his thoughts with his father.
Old Rockefeller fell silent again upon hearing this because Junior Rockefeller had valid points.
At this mont, Old Rockefeller looked at his wrinkled hands and sighed deeply. If he were thirty years younger, he would never have made such a suggestion.
But now, it’s different.
He was already 87 years old, and although still ntally sharp, he was undeniably getting old, whereas Donnie was only 30, in his pri.
At this mont, Old Rockefeller had to admit that among the younger generation, he hadn’t seen anyone who could stand up to Donnie, and he didn’t want Junior Rockefeller to beco Donnie’s rival after he passed away.
