Chapter 1190: Chapter 407: Donnie Block Gets Involved (Part 3)
But ever since Jessica Dole debuted in Hollywood until now, I’ve never heard of anyone being able to use their resources to win over Jessica Dole.
Over the past few years, as Jessica Dole’s fa in Hollywood has grown, many wealthy businessn and playboys have approached her, hoping to win her over by spending lavishly.
However, through Kyle Palr’s information channels, I’ve never heard of anyone succeeding.
What’s more crucial is that among those rejected businessn and playboys, there isn’t anyone who hasn’t thought of teaching Jessica Dole a lesson, but none have succeeded.
All these signs point to one thing—Jessica Dole definitely has a powerful figure backing her.
In that case, Donnie Block is a perfect fit!
Upon hearing that Kyle Palr wanted to pull Donnie Block into this whirlpool, Barry hesitated.
“Editor-in-chief, Donnie Block has very high prestige in the Republican Party. If we publish unfavorable news about Donnie Block, what about the boss?”
“Los Angeles Tis” founder General Harrison Otis was a staunch Republican, and under his managent, “Los Angeles Tis” beca the exclusive newspaper for California Republicans.
Even though Harry Chandler has now taken over “Los Angeles Tis,” it hasn’t affected the newspaper’s political leanings!
They have consistently stood on the side of the Republican Party!
Don’t be fooled by how these U.S. newspapers seem to wield their power like an imperial sword, daring to report any news. In reality, if you observe carefully, the scandals they report about dignitaries are mostly targeted against leaders of their rival parties.
In plain terms, U.S. newspaper reporting is essentially an extension of the political struggle between Arican parties.
“Los Angeles Tis” is a Republican newspaper, and Donnie has extrely high prestige within the party.
Now, “Los Angeles Tis” aims its spearhead at Donnie Block. Such a thing will undoubtedly stir a huge uproar.
Kyle Palr fell into silence, though his mind was already flooded with anger, he still maintained so basic rationality.
“Alright, regarding the reporting of Jessica Dole’s issue, do not ntion Donnie Block’s na directly; use Atlantic City instead!”
Barry was still sowhat hesitant—everyone in Arica knows that Donnie Block represents Atlantic City, in a sense, ntioning Atlantic City is essentially referring to Donnie Block!
“Editor…”
“This decision is final!” Kyle Palr had already thought up a response.
Once this matter is resolved, he’ll personally go to Atlantic City to apologize to Donnie Block. But for now, the most important thing is to maintain the prestige of “Los Angeles Tis” and himself.
.
Caron Block sat on the sofa in his apartnt, listening to Bob Ferry talk about what’s happening within “Los Angeles Tis,” with a smile on his face, “Kyle Palr, that foolish guy, has been completely overtaken by anger. Once ‘Los Angeles Tis’ reports on Donnie’s matter, then our acquisition of ‘Los Angeles Tis’ will be unhindered!”
Why had Donnie previously suggested having Bastian Robinson acquire small California newspapers, to slowly encroach into the Californian newspaper market, rather than outright trying to acquire “Los Angeles Tis?”
It was actually considering the internal matters of the Republican Party—though Donnie himself wasn’t involved in politics, his prestige within the U.S. Republican Party is so high, the party’s leader would show him so level of respect.
But it’s still the entire United States Republican Party.
If Donnie were to launch an acquisition of “Los Angeles Tis” on his own, it would provoke dissatisfaction among many California Republicans and those close to them.
And Donnie still relies on the support of the Republican Party.
But now everything is different.
Once “Los Angeles Tis” initiates an attack against Donnie Block, then no matter what Donnie does thereafter, the fault lies with them first. No Republican can fault Donnie in this matter!
Caron Block has been waiting for this mont!
Bob Ferry couldn’t help but ask Caron Block, “Mr. Block, should we inform Mr. Donnie Block about what’s happening in Los Angeles first?”
Caron Block shot a sidelong glance at Bob Ferry, his tone full of displeasure, “Mr. Ferry, do you think I would do these things behind Donnie’s back?”
Bob Ferry caught onto Caron Block’s displeasure and quickly replied, “No, not at all!”
Only then did Caron Block smile and said, “Rest assured, Donnie knows everything happening in Los Angeles, or why do you think Connor Joyce and Jessica Dole are provoking Kyle Palr at this ti?”
Bob Ferry chuckled awkwardly, “That was my mistake; I shouldn’t have had those thoughts just now!”
With a smile, Caron Block poured a glass of red wine for Bob Ferry, saying, “Ferry, I plan to stay in California, and you’ll beco the editor of ‘Los Angeles Tis.’ We will be the closest partners, and I hope you will understand this at all tis!”
“Yes!”
.
After Bob Ferry left the apartnt, Caron Block dialed Atlantic City.
“Bob Ferry must have been quite scared by you!”
Donnie’s laughter ca over the phone.
“Not too bad, he walked out,” Caron Block said proudly.
Donnie’s voice continued, “The matters in California are your responsibility. I hope you’ll deliver an outstanding report card after my reputation has been risked!”
“Rest assured!”
