Donnie was indeed willing to et with this Mr. Walker.

A normal person visiting Atlantic City wouldn't think about eting with so-called Atlantic City bigwigs like Donnie Block.

All they care about is whether they're having a good ti in Atlantic City.

Only two kinds of people, after experiencing the splendors of Atlantic City, might want to et soone like Donnie, a big shot of the city.

The first kind is Ponzi-schers, who need funding from bigwigs like Donnie.

The second is soone from a family with so status, yet within such a family, they themselves do not hold much sway; unlike high-status individuals who can simply call Donnie's office and arrange a eting.

Regardless of which type they were, they might be beneficial for Donnie.

However, just as Donnie was preparing to et with Walker the next day, he encountered soone he didn't want to see.

Federal Agent Diesel Mallard!

"Diesel, as I recall, you ca to Atlantic City to investigate Nucky's affair, so why have you been troubling all this ti?"

Initially, Diesel Mallard ca to Atlantic City because General Olden had pulled so strings for him in Washington, leading the FBI to send Diesel Mallard and others to investigate Nucky's matters.

But now, Diesel Mallard had set his sights on Donnie, much to Donnie's displeasure.

Diesel Mallard didn't care about Donnie's attitude, "We will of course investigate Nucky's matters, but with Ponzi's sche, there are many doubts to be addressed. Block, don't think that just because you have risen swiftly in Atlantic City in the past few months, you can talk to with that attitude. You know I can take you in for questioning at any ti.

Now you don't have a scoundrel like Olden speaking for you!"

The Ponzi sche still had repercussions.

As Nucky put it, behind Ponzi lay millions of US dollars, and the FBI was not likely to let the matter go easily.

So, not long after Ponzi died, Olden was transferred out of Atlantic City, now he's in Chicago.

Diesel Mallard took over the task of investigating Ponzi's case.

Through Diesel Mallard's investigation, he discovered that Donnie had a very good relationship with Olden. Olden had even helped Donnie acquire the best accommodation in Atlantic City, The Fuli Tavern.

Moreover, Diesel Mallard also found out that Donnie had t privately with Ponzi at one of his banquets. Just a few days after their private encounter, Ponzi's sche blew up.

Most crucially, it was first exposed on Donnie's newspaper, the "Atlantic City Post"!

All this evidence gave Diesel reason to suspect Donnie's involvent in Ponzi's disappearance!

"Ha!" Faced with Diesel Mallard's threat, Donnie was unconcerned and even let out a disdainful laugh: "Mallard, have you forgotten where you are, who I am? If you dare take away, then I assure you, this afternoon the best lawyers in Washington will sue both you and the agency behind you.

The FBI won't have an issue, but what about you?

Once you lose your status as a Federal Agent, do you think you'll have any leverage in speaking to ?"

Diesel Mallard's expression darkened; he didn't like the way Donnie was speaking to him at all.

"Based on everything you've done in Atlantic City, I have ample reason to take you in, so Don't think for a second I can't handle you, Donnie Block!"

Donnie laughed heartily, "If that's really the case, as you say, you wouldn't be just standing here talking to now."

"Wow, wow!"

At that mont, a frivolous voice chid in. Young Walker had walked in and, upon seeing Diesel Mallard, began to tease.

"Mallard, you're quite the nuisance, aren't you? I thought you were annoying enough at West Point, and yet here you are in Atlantic City, still bothering everyone!"

Seeing Walker, Diesel Mallard displayed the sa look of annoyance as Walker's.

"Walker Astor, have you forgotten the fear of being under my control at West Point?"

Walker gave a scornful smile, "Then why, instead of entering the military as a top student capable of becoming an officer, did you end up in the Bureau of Investigation as just a Federal Agent?"

Diesel Mallard clenched his fists tightly, clearly agitated by Walker.

"Wow, wow!" Walker gestured with his hands in front of his chest and laughed, "If you dare raise a hand, I think Mr. Block's lawyers won't even need to get involved before you lose your job!"

After a cold snort, Diesel Mallard decided not to deal with Walker any further, but he also knew he wouldn't get the information he wanted at this ti.

"I'll be watching you, Donnie Block!" Having said that, Diesel Mallard turned and left.

Donnie didn't bother with Diesel Mallard's departure and instead watched with amusent as Walker Astor had just walked in and chased Diesel Mallard away!

The na Walker is quite common in the United States, but the surna Astor makes it a bit special.

Especially through the course of the conversation between Walker and Diesel Mallard, Walker's display of prowess further confird Donnie's suspicions about the other's identity.
