Chapter 29: Black Kyurem
Seeing Necrozma attacking him, Chen Xinghe instinctively commanded his Salance to dodge.
But the next second, he realized the sheer gap in their strength, even if he tried to evade, it might be too late. In desperation, he imdiately changed his order:
“Salance, use Protect!”
“Block its attack!”

Hearing its trainer’s command, Salance hastily summoned a protective barrier.
A pale fluorescent shield materialized in front of it.
Yet Necrozma’s Hyper Beam tore straight through the barrier, blasting Salance far back.
Chen Xinghe was sent tumbling across Salance’s back, barely holding on. If not for Protect weakening most of Hyper Beam’s force, he wouldn’t have gotten off with just being sent flying!

Though they had survived the hit, Salance was at its limit. Despite being a Champion-level Pokémon, it was no match for Necrozma.
Just as Necrozma prepared to finish Chen Xinghe off, ga Rayquaza tore through the night sky with overwhelming force, slamming into Necrozma and sending it crashing away once more.
But Necrozma quickly steadied itself and, under Chen Nian’s command, clashed with Rayquaza midair again.

The two Legendaries resud their battle, giving Chen Xinghe a brief chance to recover.
As a Champion-ranked trainer of the League, he desperately sought a way to break past his limits.
Gritting his teeth, he glanced down at the heavily injured Kyurem and threw out several more Poké Balls.
If I can capture Kyurem, even if it’s risky… I have to try!

In an instant, Chen Xinghe summoned his four other flying Pokémon:
“Altaria! Charizard! Flygon! Noivern!”
“All of you, attack!”
“Altaria, use Dragon Breath!”
“Charizard, use Flathrower!”
“Flygon, use Sand Tomb!”
“Noivern, use Super Fang!”
……
In a flash, all four Pokémon launched their assaults at Kyurem as ordered.
Seeing this, Chen Nian’s expression darkened completely.
Rayquaza’s sudden attack had given this trainer a rare chance to escape—yet instead of fleeing, he was still trying to fight to the death.
Did he really think Legendaries had no rage? That I had no rage?
Enraged, Chen Nian imdiately commanded Necrozma:
“Ignore Rayquaza—kill that guy!”
“No holding back! Maximum power Hyper Beam—FIRE!”

But Chen Nian wasn’t the only one furious.
Kyurem, wounded and sprawled on the ground, burned with wrath as it saw humans daring to attack it.
These pests keep pushing my limits… Do they really think I’m so weakling they can bully?
With a deafening roar, black lightning surged across Kyurem’s body—and in the next mont, its form began to change once more.

Violent thunderbolts crackled around Kyurem as the once-calm sky beca shrouded in an endless storm.
Its roars shook the air, its aura swelling to unprecedented levels.

A sharp, murderous intent locked onto every corner of the battlefield. Kyurem’s icy eyes fixed onto Chen Xinghe and his five Pokémon with deadly focus.
Under this terrifying pressure, Chen Xinghe’s face paled. He never imagined that Kyurem, even in such a wounded state, could still transform again!

In that mont, Kyurem finally evolved—into Black Kyurem!
From its overwhelming presence, Chen Nian could tell: Kyurem’s fury had been fully unleashed, and there was no stopping it now.
First, a battle-hungry ga Rayquaza… Now, a provoked Black Kyurem?
Is the universe trying to screw with ?!

Though frustrated by the situation, Chen Nian’s own fighting spirit surged.
Compared to Rayquaza, an enraged Kyurem was far more dangerous—so it had to be dealt with first.

Countless ice-blue lightning bolts surged around Kyurem before it unleashed Freeze Shock—its signature move, an evolved form of Ice Burn—at the five Pokémon foolish enough to challenge it.
Unlike in the gas, this move required no charging. It was an indiscriminate blast of destruction.
Chen Nian didn’t care about the League trainer’s fate, but he couldn’t let Kyurem devastate the land beyond repair.
So without hesitation, he issued Necrozma its next order.
