Relaxed on a comfy chair, I am sitting under the pergola wearing my crown and sipping tea. I watch my five kids along with my brother’s little boy and Kacir’s daughter. Atlas and Asterope are the nas of my twin sons who are three years old. Nad after two other bright stars near the Seven Sister Constellation. They lie closer to Alycone, Maia and rope.
Just like their fathers they are redheads but have green eyes like . To add to that, both of them were born with wings, which ans they are part Fae and part incubi. Their wings are outlined in black and have symbols on them.
Alnitak and Mintaka’s incubi forms are training them on how to fly. The kids don’t fear them, they love to see them transford.
My oldest son Alcyone is most likely a werewolf and a warlock just like his father Saiph. He hasn’t received the Fae gene from . rope has pointed ears. Which ans she is part-fae. Maia is most likely Fae too along with the vampire gene she has inherited from her father, but we will have to wait until they find their mates to get wings.
Saiph has been appointed the new king of Orion. His father has retired to spend ti with his grandkids. I have been raised to the status of the queen.
Rigel is spending more ti at Fudaria, learning the ways of the state. He is going to be the next king. But we are never apart for more than one day. He always makes ti for us.
Alnilam, on the other hand, gets buried in work over at Palinvine. Sotis I have to go and get him. That perfectionist in him always cos to the surface but we bring him back whenever we can.
Kacir sits beside , watching his daughter dawdle along. Alcyone is gently holding her tiny hand and guiding her. They are so cute, playing like that, filling our lives with their laughter.
"Mom, look, the brothers are flying." Alcyone gathers my attention and I smile at my son as he points upwards. Twins have lifted off the ground on their tiny wings, Alnitak and Mintaka circle them protectively. They happily giggle.
There is a yearning in Alycone’s eyes as if he also dreams of having wings. No jealousy though. Being the oldest he is very similar to Saiph and Alnilam in his approach towards his siblings.
rope and Maia are playing with their cousin, Amil (my brother’s son). Maia is a friendly, outgoing, happy kid. But rope likes to stay reserved, she speaks less and has that wisdom about her, the one she seems to have inherited from her father.
They also pause to watch their brothers
take their small flights and clap.
"Did we ever think we would be here after seven years?" Kacir asks, picking up a biscuit and nibbling on it.
It has been seven years since I ca to Orion and my life dramatically changed.
"Not even in my wildest dream. I had thought of becoming a monster hunter and surviving in the wild. This is way beyond that." I place the cup down when Alnitak and Mintaka capture the overexcited twins and bring them towards , smiling and laughing, they tickle their bellies.
My sons kick their little legs, not wanting to end their flights.
"Little buggers." Alnitak shakes his head, handing Atlas.
"Calm down. Let’s eat and then you can fly again." I gently rub his back and his wings disappear into his shoulder blades. He finally relaxes. His chubby cheeks are burning red.
The portal opens. issa and Aziel walk out holding big bags of candy.
"Who wants candy?" issa lovingly asks, shaking the bag. All the children rush towards her, screaming.
"eeee!" Alnitak is in the lead with his hands raised.
They all seem to have acquired his sweet tooth except rope. She prefers salty stuff like Mintaka.
He takes the bag from issa and raises it above his head, making the children scowl and chase him around the ground.
Kacir shakes his head beside . "He is never going to grow up."
Mintaka and I completely agree.
Saiph, Alnilam and Rigel join us. They kiss my cheek, head and forehead turn by turn, professing their love.
Rigel takes Atlas from , kissing his chubby cheek. "Have you been a good boy?"
"Yeshh!" He brokenly says to Rigel.
Saiph holds Asterope. "Did you fly with dad Min and dad Ali?"
"I go....high." He raises his small arm and proudly tells Saiph.
"That’s so amazing." Saiph kisses his forehead and love brims in my heart seeing my family and friends holding endless love for each other.
"Alnitak is on his shenanigans again," Alnilam says with a smile.
Children and issa capture Alnitak. They throw him on the ground and issa pins him down so kids can all climb over him and take candy.
Saiph and Rigel let the little ones go so they can join in the fun.
"Yahhh! Get him kids, get him," issa urges them on.
They all attack with their little hands and bodies making us laugh and shake our heads.
We have created this peaceful world after mammoth struggles and spillage of blood so our children wouldn’t have to live in a broken place. We healed it and we healed ourselves.
And what we have hidden in our dungeon, we hope it will stay like that. For centuries to co, without ever breaking free.
