A day passes, and Kieran acts like he wasn’t on the verge of dying. His wolf helped him heal faster now that the poison has been neutralized.

Ace was there when he woke up. He was so happy that he threw his arms around Kieran, even though he knew he wasn’t supposed to do that to soone who was still recovering.

Since then, Ace hasn’t spoken to him. He’s mad at Kieran for putting himself in danger in the na of saving him.

What was the point of risking his own life, only to leave Ace behind to live in sorrow?

So, Ace has refused to talk to him.

After being discharged from the hospital, Kieran insisted on going to work first before heading ho to rest.

Ace, Jun, and Rey had no choice but to listen to him. When they arrived, Kieran ordered Paul and the four n to be taken into the interrogation room, one by one.

Kieran walked into the room, and Paul’s head snapped up imdiately. "Thank God, man, you’re fine! I swear I wasn’t aiming for you. Maybe now that you’re here, you’ll finally listen to . Kieran leaned in closer. "He might not be completely human, but he’s innocent. He doesn’t hurt people. Have you ever heard of him harming anyone? We love peace, despite what we are. So, where’s the problem if we have no intention of hurting anyone?" His gaze hardened. "That young man you’re talking about... is my boyfriend. Actually, not just my boyfriend, but the love of my life. So stay away from him."

Shock rippled through Paul. "You... you’re one of them?!"

"Yeah," Kieran said, "but don’t worry, you won’t be rembering this."

His nails dug into the back of Paul’s neck, and the man slumped unconscious. Kieran closed his eyes, wiping away Paul’s mories of werewolves, Ace, and everything he had just revealed.

When Paul regained consciousness, he frowned. "What? Can you really bla for shooting that evil woman?! She did sothing terrible, she didn’t deserve to live!" He let out a scoff. "I don’t care if you send to jail, as long as I put an end to her."

Kieran smirked. Perfect. The other mories were gone, and the only thing Paul rembered was that he shot Adele to death.

"What about when you worked with her to uncover so creatures that you called werewolves?" Kieran tested.

"We.... werewolves?" Paul’s brows furrowed. "What the hell is that?! I never worked with that woman if that’s what she told you."

"Alright. You’ll wait for your day in court." Kieran called the officers to take Paul back to his cell.

But despite the fact that they know where the creature ca from and whoever made it is dead, people were still afraid. They believed Blake was still out there, ready to attack at any mont.

To ease their fears, Kieran appeared on the news, assuring the citizens that he would do whatever it took to find Blake and that they had nothing to worry about.

After that, Kieran and the others head ho. Right now Ace drives, Kieran is sitting on the passenger seat, while Jun and Rey behind them.

Ace is still not talking even when others make jokes on the way.

"You know," Rey teases, "I’d be mad too if Jun did that to . Sacrificing himself in the na of saving ? What then? After saving , am I supposed to live the rest of my life in sorrow?"

Kieran clicks his tongue. "Shut up, bastard."

Ace stays silent, focusing on the road as he drives, completely ignoring Kieran.

Jun laughs. "Babe, stop dreaming. I would never take a bullet for you. ? The way I fear death? Oh, hell no."

Kieran chuckles at that, turning to Rey with a mocking look before letting out a dramatic, "Ouch."

Rey turns away, acting disappointed in Jun. Jun imdiately tries to coax him. "Of course, that was a joke. Co on, don’t tell you’re mad over that. I didn’t an it."

"Ugh! Ew! Can you wait until you get to your room before you start coaxing each other? This is disgusting," Kieran complains.

But when he turns back, Jun and Rey are already kissing, not just a peck, but a real kiss.

They are completely lost in each other, hands roaming, bodies pressing together.

"Hey! Stop that!" Kieran yells.

But they don’t stop.

Or maybe... they aren’t ignoring him. Maybe they’re just too lost in each other.

"That’s it! I’m throwing you two out of my car!"

"Ugh! Gosh! What is wrong with you, Kieran?" Jun laughs. "It’s just a fucking kiss. Or maybe... you’re jealous because your boyfriend is right there, and you can’t touch him, so now you’re lashing out at us?"

Rey joins him in teasing Kieran.

Kieran ignores them and turns to Ace. "You tired? I can drive."

"No, I’m fine. I can handle it." Ace keeps his response short.

Kieran can’t wait to explain to Ace why he couldn’t just stand by and let him get shot. No matter what.

He tries to wait until they get ho, but he can’t stop himself. "Ace..."

"I don’t want to talk about it right now," Ace cuts him off. "In fact, I don’t want to talk to you at all."

That’s it. Rey and Jun burst out laughing, teasing Kieran over how sharply he just got cut off.

Then, they go right back to kissing. In the na of making Kieran feel bad.

But in the process, Jun and Rey completely lose themselves again, totally oblivious to their surroundings.

The kiss that starts as a joke, a mocking kiss, turns into sothing serious.

Breaths hitch. Hands wander under clothes. Rey is already hovering over Jun.

Just as Rey is about to lift Jun’s shirt, Ace suddenly slams the brakes, honking the horn.

It startles them.

"Alright, lovers. Get out. We’re ho. Carry yourselves inside. Once you’re in there, you can do whatever you want, make as much noise as you want," Ace says, not even looking back at them.

Jun and Rey blink, looking around, realizing they aren’t at the pack house. Instead, they’re at the house where they used to live with Marsel and Elira.

They exchange looks, almost ready to argue, but don’t.

"Actually, we’re not embarrassed. At all." Jun smirks as he opens the car door.

"Calling a simple make-out session a big deal," Rey scoffs, following him.

"Simple make-out? You were about to undress each other right in front of us!" Ace shoots back as they walk hand in hand toward the house.

Kieran can’t help but laugh.

At the door, Jun enters in the keycode to unlock it. He turns to Rey. "Were you really about to undress ? In the car? In front of them?"

"What? No, not at all! Why would I do that in a car full of people?" Rey raises his hands in surrender.

"Yes, you were," Jun narrows his eyes.

"Okay, maybe I was. But it wasn’t intentional! Why are you making it seem like I was the only one lost in the mont? If you were conscious, you would’ve stopped . But you didn’t. That ans we were both gone."

They stare at each other... then burst into laughter.

"Damn, we’re so shaless." Jun laughs.

"That makes two of us." Jun flops onto the couch.

Rey walks over and lies on top of him since the couch is too small for both of them.

"Maybe we should learn to just be this close to each other without doing anything," Jun says, watching Rey closely, waiting for a disagreent.

"Why should we do that?" Rey counters, already leaning in to capture Jun’s lips.

Jun quickly covers his mouth with his hand. "Because we have to. Seriously, the fact that we actually got lost in each other in front of Kieran and Ace is embarrassing. And let’s be honest, that’s not the only ti we can’t resist each other, even when there are other people around. Am I lying?"

Rey sighs. "Co on, babe, it’s just Kieran and Ace. They do it all the ti, they never resist each other either. And it’s just them, so what?"

"What about around other people?"

"Okay, fine, you got there. But can we start training each other after tonight?" Rey asks, making Jun laugh hard.

"No, we start now... three, two, one, go! We’ve started, and it’s a challenge. The one who loses... has to do what?" Jun says, thinking of the consequence before suddenly bursting into laughter.
