Yarin's POV:

After collecting the plants, the next step was to turn them into specins. Fresh flowers and plants didn't last long; without proper preservation, they would wither within half a month. "Wear your gloves and safety goggles, and make sure the straps of your lab coat are securely fastened. I've noticed so students quietly loosening the straps behind them. This doesn't comply with regulations. Don't make personally co down and help you fasten them, alright?"

The stern dormitory manager urged the students to wear all the protective gear before the experint. This prompted many students to sigh and complain; the baggy light blue lab coats were just unattractive.

Turning plants into specins wasn't difficult. Ery taught us the thods, then descended from the podium to patrol around, waiting to assist anyone who needed help.

Once the initial excitent waned, students started to feel bored and began to surreptitiously play with the lab equipnt. However, Ery always caught them red-handed. He wasn't stern with the students, but his elusive figure and silent smile carried an eeriness, giving people the creep.

"You shouldn't play around with the lab equipnt. It's dangerous if you accidentally break the glass or spill the solution."

Though these were ordinary warnings, they sounded chilling when spoken by Ery. It was as if there were so lurking beasts in the glass or the solution.

So, after a few students learned their lessons the hard way, the discipline in the lab suddenly improved.

I marveled at the situation, thinking that appearances can be deceiving. Despite his youthful appearance, he was entirely different from us genuine kids!

Heller was placing the fresh flowers and plants in glass cases for preservation, to be used for this week's biology class. He trimd the flower stems as he spoke, "Should we bring back so fresh flowers for Cynthia? Most of the flowers in the Charlies Family's garden are shrubs, and Cynthia hasn't made a flower wreath in a while."

I thought it was a good idea since the botany collection class lasted the whole afternoon. After class, except for boarders returning to the school, other students would go their separate ways. So, we started discussing the recent beautiful varieties produced in the greenhouse, which led to ntioning soone.

"I t a man. He appeared at Sunset."

I teased Heller intentionally, and as expected, he took the bait, hurriedly scanning the surroundings and eagerly asking, "Where? Where? Weren't they all arrested? Could he be one who escaped the net or broke out of prison?"

I kept silent, watching him glance around for a mont before saying, "Well, actually, he's not any of those jerks. That person is a waiter at Sunset. He's a good person, not bad, and he even tried to help Lydia."

Heller looked at with a touch of resentnt and muttered, "You're a jerk, mate."

I covered my mouth and chuckled softly.

"What's his na?" Heller asked.

"Scott. That's what I heard people call him at the restaurant."

"Since he's a waiter, why would he be at the botanical garden?"

"I don't know. Maybe he has a lot of part-ti jobs. The botanical garden isn't just for agricultural researchers; they also hire temporary laborers."

Just then, I caught sight of Scott passing by outside the window, so I quickly pointed him out to Heller, saying, "There's Scott. See him? The tall, slender guy who looks like a utility pole."

Scott had a head of stunning red hair, impossible to miss.

Heller observed him for a few seconds and suddenly said to , "But he doesn't look like a werewolf."

"What?"

"I don't know why, but when I look at him, I just get this strange feeling that says, 'He's not a werewolf.""

If an ordinary person said that, it would be one thing, but if Heller thought so, then it carried more weight. As his sensitivity to the manifestation of spirits increased, he might really be

able to sense sothing.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

Heller answered, "How am I supposed to be sure? It's just a gut feeling. Maybe my brain is playing tricks on ."

Regardless, I decided I wanted to look into this.

After class, we gathered so fresh flowers from the greenhouse for Cynthia. The natural ambiance was so soothing that I didn't want to go ho so soon.

Cynthia was delighted when she received the flowers and pulled us into a session of flower arrangent.

Lady Charlies decided to plant so flowers in the garden this year. "I used to love flowers too, but my husband was allergic to pollen, so for years, there were only non-flowering shrubs in the garden," she said. "After he passed away, I lost the motivation to tend to the garden. Now that you've all co, the once-empty garden can finally co to life again."

The ladies decided to make a large flower basket to be placed in the first-floor living room, thinking it would bring a touch of spring to the house. A few of us clumsy helpers assisted them with tasks like trimming flower stems and cleaning up fallen leaves.

During that ti, I asked Eden, "How's Lydia doing since she returned that day? Did she say anything?"

Eden whispered, "She seems to be stable for now. Autumn has been with her these days, and Lydia herself seems to be trying to move on from that incident. She also ntioned that not everyone at Sunset is a bad person. There was a waiter who helped her, but she hasn't seen him since that day and didn't get a chance to thank him."
