Yarin's POV:

After learning about our actions, Mom praised us for a while and then scolded us severely when we felt triumphant.

"I can hardly believe that you recklessly executed such a dangerous plan." Even through the phone, I could see the tight frown and seriousness in Mom's expression.

"Even the police make thorough preparations when setting bait. Have you thought about what would happen if the plan failed? Lydia, a young girl, surrounded by so many strong, fierce, and lawless criminals in one room. If sothing were to happen, you would regret it deeply!"

I attempted to argue, "Because you said to go ahead and do it, that's why we..."

"Don't pretend to understand what I an," Mom shouted angrily. "Police, palace guards, mobile patrols, based on these, you can do whatever you want! But relying solely on yourselves won't work! Do I need to thank you for rembering that the last step of fishing enforcent is to call the police to arrest people?"

"... We were wrong, I'm sorry, Mom." In truth, after calming down, I too was chilled by the bold plan from last night. Now, realizing my own fault, I could only apologize obediently. Mom sighed heavily on the other end of the phone and said, "Let this be a lesson, understand? Use your brains when doing things; don't rush headlong with nothing but hot blood driving you. Sigh, young people..."

After a while of scolding, Mom hung up the phone.

Heller and Cynthia were slouched on the sofa, looking like two carrot seedlings that had weathered a typhoon.

"What an intense weekend," Cynthia said. "We didn't even do that much physically demanding work, but why do I feel so tired?"

"It's ntal fatigue, dear, and the thought of having to go to school tomorrow makes even more tired," Heller responded listlessly.

"Speaking of which, do you know that a teaching assistant will teach next week's plant collection class?" I asked him. "The teacher is on leave, I saw it on the notice board."

Heller was disinterested in this. "I just hope this substitute teaching assistant is reliable. Do you rember what the art class was like when it was taught by a teaching assistant last ti? Goodness, they went crazy, you'd think there was an explosion at a paint factory in Sivir Academy."

"I heard that the substitute teacher is an elf, I heard it from Eden. Every ti an elf substitutes, the students beco exceptionally well-behaved. I assu it will be the sa for

us."

"The visiting monk chants the sutras well."

Heller disliked these outdoor classes because they inevitably involved interacting with randomly assigned unfamiliar classmates. He disliked it but couldn't appear impolite, so he spent the entire class acting tired, which exhausted him.

He once complained to , "I'm definitely going to beco a hypocritical adult in the future, because every day of school, I'm learning how to be a fake gentleman."

Ti slowly sauntered, and it was now Wednesday afternoon, and the substitute teacher that the students had excitedly discussed over lunch finally appeared.

"Good afternoon, students. I am your substitute teaching assistant, Ery Florea. You can call Mr. Florea."

Standing at the podium was a handso and distinguished-looking, well-dressed male with a confident deanor. His clear and well-structured speech made him a gentleman that people would naturally warm up to.

If you ignored his exceptionally 'young' appearance, that is.

I heard Heller quietly ask, "Is it April Fool's Day today? Or am I dreaming?"

"I don't know, maybe it's a dream," I replied uncertainly. "Otherwise, why would I see a kid not much older than us standing at the podium giving a lecture?"

Yes, this highly anticipated substitute teacher, the enigmatic elf Mr. Florea, looked like a child only a couple of years older than us!

Huh?

I believed other students were as surprised as I was because the classroom was filled with deliberately hushed but still unmistakably firecracker-like discussions.

However, the teacher on the podium seed unfazed by this, smiling and saying, "I know everyone is curious about my appearance and age. In fact, as an elf, I am indeed quite young, but considering it from the age of a werewolf, I am undoubtedly an adult. So, hiring as an assistant teacher at Sivir Academy does not violate child protection laws."

He even had the leisure to crack a joke, and the students in the room seed thoroughly bewildered.

"So, may I ask how old you are this year?" a bold girl asked.

Mr. Florea — oh my, using honorifics for a boy who looks barely older than was just so strange — Ery rely smiled at her and said it was a secret.

Then he quickly changed the topic and said, "I think everyone knows that this class is the plant collection class, preparing you for upcoming biology, chemistry, and history classes. So, please put on your outdoor protective clothing. We will take a bus to the Botanical Garden in five minutes."
