Yarin's POV:

The dwarf was still laughing until the mont he died. He did not have any fear of death. Instead, he was eager to run to the podium.

Blood gushed from his chest and flowed, dyeing the carpet black. Even the blood of this b*stard tainted by the evil power from head to toe was black.

As he was on the verge of death, the bone rope gradually withered and drooped weakly as if it had beco an ordinary rope.

"Death is...A new student...He... It's here..." At the last mont of his life, the dwarf muttered.

He was dead.

After everything was over, I could finally form my human form. Lily's body had reached its limit. She was covered in wounds, and her clothes were stained with blood.

The wound on Lily's shoulder was still bleeding. The bone rope, which had turned into an ordinary rope, was now a drainage tool, accelerating the blood loss in Lily's body.

I could not pull out the rope rashly nor let it continue to drain like this. I tried to break the rope, but I found that no matter how I cut it with scissors, knife, or pulled it, the rope could not be broken.

I had no choice but to tie off Lily's wound tightly, but it couldn't last long, or there would be a risk of necrosis.

But it was only now that I realized that sothing was wrong.

It was too quiet outside.

My fight with the dwarf was not long, but it was enough for the outside world to realize there was a fight here. Why didn't the Lily of the Valley send any reinforcents?

Moreover, had all the battles ended? There wasn't even a single gunshot.

At this mont, my body sank. Lily had fainted.

I was so scared that I jumped up and down and quickly checked her wound. I also checked her pulse. It was a little weak, but it was not life-threatening.

She seed to have fainted or fallen asleep.

I didn't dare to wake her up and was even more careful in this strange situation. Sothing must have happened in this building that I don't know about.

I placed Lily on the only intact large desk in the room and used my coat to cover her head to prevent her from suffocating. I glanced at the dwarf's corpse from the corner of my eye. I frowned and strode over to kick him to a corner.

After doing all this, I was still worried that he might have a backup plan, so I lted a few steel bars and inserted them into his limbs and throat to ensure he could not move even if he ca back to life.

Looking at the porcupine corpse, I smiled in satisfaction.

... Wait a minute.

Smiling?

I suddenly realized what I was doing.

Since when did I like to use people as toys for fun?

I had unknowingly beco a little cruel.

My hands were still stained with the black blood of the dwarf. It slled not disgusting like ordinary blood but bland as water. This made feel a little regretful. How good would it be if this blood was hot, thick, and sweet?

Following the dark bloodstains, I looked at my blood vessels. Through their skin, they were showing green or purple colors, emitting an alluring vitality.

The alluring, fresh, and lively flesh and blood.

Unknowingly, I smiled and scratched my wrist with my nails.

... No, wait a minute.

What was I doing?

There was a sharp pain in my wrist. I quickly let go and found that the artery had slipped and broken. My nails were always trimd short and round by and were not as sharp as wolves' claws.

Did I want to cut my wrist just now? Just because I felt that the feeling of blood was very tempting and satisfying?

Satisfying...?

I suddenly realized what was wrong.

I was sure there was no vampire lineage in my parents' bloodline. I would not be interested in blood. If there were, it would only be to bring death to my enemies, not to admire it as much as I do now.

This kind of condescending arrogance was not from .

"It seems you have discovered sothing," a feminine voice suddenly appeared behind . I was shocked and subconsciously threw a piece of the ceiling over.

After a bang, the voice said, "You're so alive. I'm relieved."

Karter kicked the ceiling piece beneath his feet. The corridor had been covered by darkness.

"You're the one who's playing tricks." I looked at him coldly, half of my lted body ready to attack.

Karter raised his hand and retreated as if he was showing weakness. She smiled and said, "No, no, no. I don't want to argue with you."

"But I do," I said in a deep voice. "You're the mastermind behind this, right? Kara, and all the victims who died because of your sche, now is the ti for you to pay with your life."

Karter shrugged helplessly as if he was facing an ignorant child. "Although I'm willing to obey all your orders, including death, you can't do it now."

"What are you talking about?" I growled impatiently.

Obey ? Was he crazy or was I crazy? What relationship did I have with him other than a feud?

"It's a pity that Anthony took the opportunity," Karter muttered to himself. "But isn't it an honor to be able to et you? I hope you like our preparations. Otherwise, it will be in vain... Oh, of course, I'm not complaining..."
