Yarin's POV:

Looking at my companions, they were still unusually quiet, or, rather, dull.

"I can explain," I whispered after swallowing.

At this mont, everyone finally ca back to their senses. The soldiers imdiately acted as if they had not seen anything and did what they were supposed to do. It was as if they had suddenly developed an unprecedented interest in cleaning up the dirty and slly blood.

Aunt Eve looked at and then at Aunt Dorothy. She sighed and said, "You guys have a chat. I'll take care of the rest."

I looked at Aunt Dorothy at a loss. So 'plasticine' on my body still had yet to be fused in ti. The feeling of them seeping into my body was wonderful, making shiver involuntarily.

"Did I do all this?" I looked at the space and asked softly.

Aunt Dorothy nodded and replied warmly, "Yes, but don't worry. You did well, Yarin. You saved the hostage and chased the enemy away."

"What just happened?"

"You suddenly... broke down. The mimicry seed to be abnormal. It kept absorbing everything in the gym that could be absorbed, expanding, and breaking down into more. You seem to have temporarily lost your mind, but you still managed to protect the soldiers and hostages. Firearms are nothing before you, and you beco an indestructible barrier."

I didn't know if I had really done so well. Aunt Dorothy's calm tone of voice always made feel shy.

I turned my head and accidentally t the eyes of a dead man. One of his turbid eyes was dyed red with blood, while the other was dull. He still looked surprised and fearful as when he died. This was the last impression the world gave him.

I believed I would always rember him. He was the first person I killed.

I realized that my hands were trembling. There was still blood on it that had not completely dried up. Unlike bullets, I could not absorb these dying cells. They stained my hands and reminded of everything I had done.

Aunt Dorothy took my hand and used her sleeve to help wipe off the liquid. She said gently, "Don't think about it or look at it. To protect what we cherish, it's inevitable to pay the price."

The blood stains were wiped away, leaving a large pink mark on my skin. It seed to fuse with my bones and blood, carving it into my heart.

"I understand that you're not feeling well right now, child. When I killed soone for the first ti, it was no exaggeration to say that I had nightmares for almost a month. Although other factors were involved, causing death makes us feel like a child who has made a big mistake," Aunt Dorothy said.

"You'll get used to it, forget the first confusion, when you know what you're doing, and can judge whether it's right or wrong, killing will no longer be a matter of pure right or wrong. We were taught from a young age that life was precious, but the fact was that treating everyone equally was sotis an overly idealistic presupposition."

"I know. It's just that I don't know how to accept all of this for a mont..." I muttered in confusion, feeling like I was in the clouds, causing my affectation to be ashad.

"In short, when everything is over, you will understand how to deal with everything you are feeling now." Aunt Dorothy pulled along and joined the team, cleaning up the battlefield. "Now, our enemies are still eyeing us covetously. It's not the ti to let our guard down." We weren't so kind as to hold a funeral for our enemies. The main reason for collecting their corpses was to check if they had any weapons or items that could harm the werewolves.

If the corpses were teleported back to their camp by the Lily of the Valley, the weapons or items would undoubtedly be aid at the werewolves again. We must seize every opportunity to weaken the enemy.

Not long after we finished sorting out the corpses, the space on the fourth floor suddenly began to flicker and distort under our eyes. So small pieces of space began to deconstruct and transform irregularly.

In the end, while we were on guard, the anomaly extended to the gym. Everything happened too fast. Even though Aunt Eve had ordered the team to form, the soldiers were still inevitably separated by space.

After the commotion ended, so people remained where they were, while others had already disappeared, along with the corpses on the ground.

"That was..." Aunt Eve looked at Aunt Dorothy, who nodded and said seriously, "That's right. The real world and the folded space intersected. It's very likely man-made. Those missing warriors... They might have been moved to another space."

"We have to quickly gather with the other warriors in this space and find a rift that can truly enter the real world. The other party plans to split us into small teams and destroy us individually. We are already at a disadvantage. Once the other party succeeds, we will be finished."

I suddenly felt soone step on at this mont, but no one was beside . I thought it was an illusion, but then the feeling ca again.

I realized that it wasn't fake. It was just another '' being stepped on.

So parts that I hadn't had the ti to absorb were transferred to another space by that strange change.
