Selma Payne’s POV:
Rhode was surprised by my visit. He didn’t look too good, but he still greeted with spirit.
“It’s so late. What’s up?”
“Because the election ceremony is tomorrow night. I wanted to see how you’ve prepared.”
Rhode fell silent at the ntion of the election ceremony.
“What’s the matter? Are you worried?” I asked despite knowing the answer. “If I can help with anything, just let know.”
As expected, Rhode’s reaction was intense. He refused without thinking, “There is no need! I can handle everything on my own.”
