It has been five days since the last ti Lucia went out of her flower shop. She didn’t like the pause of her plans but needed it to clear her mind.

After all, Lucia had been restless and couldn’t sleep well at night. Her dreams revolved around Gastone and the things she would do to him in bed.

"Why can’t I stop thinking about him!?" Lucia grumbled loudly while trimming the rose’s stem. Her grip beca rough, causing the branch to break.

"Oh," Lucia frowned and stared at the red rose. Her mind drifted to Gastone’s number, tucked away safely in her pocket if she would contact him or not.

"Why can’t I get him out of my mind?" Lucia murmured to herself, her brows furrowed in frustration. She sighed, setting the broken rose stem aside and attempting to regain her composure.

"That’s it! I’m ending this!" Lucia shouted in frustration. She closed her shop temporarily and went to the telephone booth on the street. She was glad to have one nearby for easy access.

As Lucia picked up the phone to dial, her hand stopped moving. She hesitated, contemplating whether to make the call and unsure of what awaited her on the other end of the line.

The uncertainty of the outco and the fear of revisiting past emotions held Lucia back montarily.

"I need to resolve this, or else I won’t be able to stop seeing him in my dreams," Lucia whispered to encourage herself.

Lucia retrieved the phone, her fingers hovering over the numbers as she debated whether to dial Gastone’s number or continue wrestling with her conflicting emotions.

"Ugh, I even morize his number now," Lucia whispered while shaking her head. She waited a few seconds until she heard a ring on the other side.

Lucia’s heart skipped a beat while waiting for Gastone’s answer. As the seconds passed, Lucia’s heart pounded in her chest, and each passing mont felt like an eternity as she waited anxiously for Gastone to answer the call.

With each ring, Lucia’s anxiety intensified, and she found herself holding her breath.

"Maybe he’s busy," Lucia whispered and was about to hang up, her heart sinking with disappointnt, but the ringing stopped, and a familiar voice broke through the silence.

"Hello?" Gastone’s voice, warm and slightly surprised, reached Lucia’s ears.

Lucia’s heart fluttered at the sound of his voice, a mixture of relief and nervousness flooding her senses. It took her a mont to collect herself before responding.

"G-Gastone, it’s Lucia," she said, her voice laced with a hint of trepidation.

"Oh, Lucia, I didn’t expect to hear from you," Gastone replied, chuckling on the other line.

There was a brief pause as if both were searching for the right words to say, the silence stretching between them montarily, and it was becoming heavy.

"I’ve been... thinking about things," Lucia started, her voice trailing off shortly as she gathered her thoughts.

"You can tell anything to ," Gastone replied with a calming voice.

"O-okay, umm. Can I et you?" Lucia asked hesitatingly. She bit her lips and silently slapped her face to fight against the embarrassnt she felt.

Gastone chuckled in amusent. "Sure, you can always co here in my restaurant if you want. I’m sure, you already know the location."

"Ah, yes. Thank you, I’ll co by," Lucia responded, trying to keep her voice steady despite the butterflies in her stomach.

"I’ll be expecting your arrival," Gastone replied. His deep voice brought a shiver down Lucia’s spine.

"O-okay... Bye!" Lucia imdiately dropped the call. She grasped her beating heart as she frantically left the booth. "Oh my! That was intense!"

By the end of the conversation, Lucia felt a sense of reassurance wash over her and was replaced with nervousness.

That was when Lucia rembered she hadn’t set a specific arrival date. She wanted to call Gastone again but feared he would see her as desperate.

"Hmph! I shall rember how I used to hate that man!" Lucia exclaid while trying her best to dislike Gastone, but her heart said otherwise.

Lucia returned to her flower shop and saw Joseph leaning against the wall. She stopped in her tracks and was about to leave to avoid him, but he already saw her.

"Lucia!" Joseph shouted, waving at Lucia to get her attention.

Lucia closed her eyes to control her raging emotions. She decided to ignore Joseph and went the other way as if she didn’t see him.

"Lucia! Lucia! Lucia! LUCIA!!!!" Joseph kept shouting Lucia’s na, which drew attention from the passersby.

Lucia snapped her head back at Joseph. "What do you want!?" she shouted back in irritation.

"Calm down. Why are you over-reacting?" Joseph shook his head while walking toward Lucia.

They were in a public place, which Lucia was grateful for.

"Is there sothing you need?" Lucia asked, showing her dislike for Joseph.

"I think you got it wrong. I have sothing you need," Joseph said, smirking and showing Lucia a piece of paper.

"I doubt," Lucia replied, her tone laced with skepticism and a hint of caution. She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at him.

Joseph’s smug deanor and cryptic remark only heightened Lucia’s unease, eyeing the piece of paper he held.

"I don’t want anything from you," Lucia retorted, her voice tinged with dread. She remained vigilant, keeping a safe distance between herself and Joseph.

Joseph seed unperturbed by Lucia’s distrust, taking a step closer, his smirk widening. "Oh, I beg to differ. This might be of interest to you," he stated, waving the paper tantalizingly in front of her.

Lucia’s eyes twitched as she didn’t want to engage with Joseph at all.

"What is it?" Lucia asked, trying to suppress her mounting frustration.

"It’s about your friend... Daniel," Joseph replied, his smirk widening as he dangled the piece of paper just out of Lucia’s reach.

Lucia’s eyes widened. She needed every information about Daniel to broaden her plans, but Joseph’s taunting behavior prevented her from taking it.

"Stop playing gas," Lucia demanded, her voice firm and resolute. She resisted the urge to reach for the paper, not wanting to give Joseph the satisfaction of seeing her react.

"et later at Nugget Street, and I’ll tell you what this is about," Joseph stated, his tone veiled in mystery, and his smirk remained firmly in place.
