Lucia scratched another na of a farm in her list. She had been searching early in the morning, and it was already late afternoon. She was tired and exhausted, but she still didn’t have any clue about Danielo.

"That b!tch! I’ll skin her alive!" Lucia gritted her teeth in rage, thinking Babi had tricked her and all her efforts went in vain.

Lucia went back into her flower shop to beat the sh^t out of Babi when she noticed the ti. She only had an hour to go into Misis Belo’s house for dinner.

"Ah! I want to skip!" Lucia exclaid tightly before slumping into her sofa. She wanted to take a short rest, but she couldn’t.

Lucia forced herself to stand up, get dressed and put so makeup on her face to hide her tiredness. When she was done, she got into a carriage and drove to her given address.

It was quite far, and the fare was expensive, which made Lucia a bit pissed and it added to her stress. She wanted to ask Misis Belo for compensation for her ti and money, but she sucked it up.

"Misis Belo is your custor. You must be nice," Lucia whispered to herself and cald down. She took several breaths while looking at her surroundings.

The place was full of thick bushes and fruit-bearing trees. The house was a massive mansion with dieval designs full of statues in different sizes and forms.

"Ugh, those look so real. I wonder who is the artist," Lucia whispered. She shrugged it off, but the eerie around was too creepy.

Two guards greeted Lucia after seeing her approach the gate.

"Miss Lucia, you have arrived," they stated in unison and opened the door for her.

"Yes, thank you," Lucia replied and glanced at how the gate was locked after she went in. She acted normal but kept her defence high if sothing happened to her.

After all, Lucia still didn’t know what kind of background Misis Belo had aside from her as a loyal custor.

As Lucia entered the mansion. Her mouth hung open in astonishnt. Everything was painted yellow and gold, making her eyes hurt at how bright it was.

"So beautiful!" Lucia exclaid while looking at each corner and taking notes of what she saw.

"You’ve finally co! I’ve been waiting for you for hours!" Misis Belo ca downstairs in her red robe and smoking a cigarette.

Two servants followed Misis Belo behind and aided at her needs, even at the simplest one.

"The dinner will be served in ten minutes. In the anti, let tour you around the house," Misis Belo stated, grabbing Lucia’s hand and wrapping it around hers.

"You have such a wonderful house," Lucia complinted to get into Misis Belo’s good side.

"Thank you. My husband designed these. So it’s not really my style," Misis Belo chuckled while they slowly walked to the hallways, where the gigantic painting of their family was plastered on the walls.

"He had a great taste. I’m sure he’s happy to know you’re living well here," Lucia stated with a forced smile. She wasn’t interested in Misis Belo’s family, but she wondered what they looked like.

At the center was a family portrait where Misis Belo and her husband were still young, and their son was only a baby.

"He looks cute," Lucia complinted. She always had a thing with kids.

"Indeed. His looks resembled his father," Misis Belo stated with a chuckle. She sighed with a sad smile. "Sadly, he passed away too early and isn’t there to bond with his son," she added.

"Is it alright if I ask what’s the cause of his death?" Lucia asked. She started to get curious.

"Haha, he failed his end of a contract," Misis Belo replied. Her smile tightened, and her face showed disappointnt.

Lucia frowned. She knew a contract was an important thing, but to kill soone because of that made her dumbfounded.

"Condolences, Misis Belo," Lucia muttered sadly.

"It’s alright. The business went out for a while, but when my son beca a man. He took over, and it has been striving for the past seven years," Misis Belo stated proudly. She teared up a bit at how his son beca successful.

"That’s great! You must be so proud," Lucia replied as they kept walking. She saw another portrait of a young, handso man in a suit. "This must be your son," she added.

"Ah, yes. Isn’t he good-looking?" Misis Babi spread her fan to cover half of her face. She smirked as her plan started working.

Lucia stared at the man. He looked decent, but she couldn’t help comparing it to Gastone’s beauty, who was far superior.

"He is," Lucia replied. She didn’t want to offend Misis Belo if she told the truth that her son was just average in her eyes.

"That’s good to hear," Misis Belo replied and gave a deep sigh of relief. "Let’s go to the dining room," she added, gesturing for Lucia to follow her.

Lucia blinked a couple tis as that was unexpected. She thought she would get to tour around the house but stopped after seeing the pictures.

That made Lucia suspicious of Misis Belo’s motive in her sleeves.

They arrived at the dining room with a long table filled with food as if several guests were coming.

Lucia noticed three chairs placed at the center and the other two on each side.

"Have a seat opposite to ," Misis Belo instructed, pointing at the other seat before her. A butler went behind and pulled her chair.

"Okay," Lucia replied and followed the instructions. It was awkward due to several servants inside, waiting for a command.

"Would you like to listen to so music?" Misis Belo asked nicely.

"Sure, Misis Belo," Lucia replied, as she didn’t want to be rude for rejecting an offer.

"Good girl," Misis Belo smiled in delight and gestured to her butler. Imdiately, a pianist entered the room, bowed and started playing a lodic sound.

"I really like that attitude of yours, Miss Lucia. A submissive, kind and pleasant lady. On top of that, you’re beautiful," Misis Belo remarked with a smirk. She scooped minced at with vegetables and placed it in Lucia’s place. "Eat, I want to know if you like how it tastes," she added.
